BackUps from TitanumBackup and Super Backup are not shown on Windows - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have made a BackUp with TitanumBackup and Super Backup(logs, contacts and sms), but I can't see these BackUps on Windows, when i connect my Phone with my computer. I can see the TitanumBackup-folder with no content in it. And there also is a SmsContactsBackup-folder, but only with a log.xml-file and not with sms and contacts.
But when i look in the datamanager of my phone(Stock-Rom: CM11s) then i can see all Backups.
I want to flash the Temasek-ROM, but i can't do it now, because i want to save the TitanumBackup-folder and the SmsContactBackup-folder, but i can't, because windows do not recognize the backups.
What shall I do?
Sincerely,

Help a new owner out...

I really did search and can not find some very basic answers to some questions. Just got the Fuze and its my first WM phone.
What is the best way to back up this phone to my pc?
I have tried Windows mobile center, but for some reason cant check contacts. I also tried Sprite, but it seems I have to first download a program to my pc????
How do I download an app from my pc to it???? (is a cab the same thing as an app)?
When Im synced to my pc, how do I disconnect???? It doesnt show up in my safely remove hardware icon?
Dont worry... I wont even think about ROM stuff yet!
I appreciate any help...
Some EXE installs you install to your computer while the phone is synced and once its complete it will install to your phone. Cab files are the install's that you copy to the phone and run on the phone itself.
What all are you backing up? If you want a straight image I believe there is a quick tutorial around in the flashing hard SPL threads. Theres also a backup utility in the program's folder of the phone, I have not used it or done any backup yet so I cant say how easy either is.
To back up your contacts why not just sync the phone with outlook and have them copied over that way?

Thanks for the response..
When I copy a cab file to the phone (im using file management... is that what I should be using????), which folder should I drop it in.
My main concern is contacts, but for some reason it wont allow me to check that box???
you can click on the link on my tag for a tutorial
just load the cab on the device, it'll install.
if you just want your contacts, sync it with wmdc it'll put your contacts in outlook (your outlook needs to have been configured for use)

Restore option not available

I want to restore my HD7 to older version (7720), but Zune is not showing restore.. Is there any other way for rollback??
Sent from my HD7 T9292 using Board Express
Hi,
sorry to hear that your Zune won't show your backup. This usually means, that it has been deleted.
Please do the following to be sure:
Ensure, that it is the same computer, from which you updated your phone. The backups are saved on your pc, nowhere else.
Ensure, that it is the same phone which has been connected to your pc and been updated. AFAIK Zune will only offer the backup to its original phone.
Look on your pc under %appdata%\Local\Microsoft\Windows Phone Update if there are really no backups.
If you checked all those points, I'm afraid you cannot restore your backup since someone/something deleted your backup.
Greetings

Can't restore Lumia 710.....flashable ROM?

I forced 8107 onto my T-Mobile Lumia 710, and the light sensor doesn't seem to be working (screen doesn't brighten in direct sunlight), so I wanted to restore to my old point. The problem was, the only restore point I had was on my work machine. So I remoted in, downloaded DropBox to my work machine, made a zip of the backup from my work machine, and uploaded the zip to my DropBox account. When I moved the backup zip to my user/AppData/Microsoft/Local/... on my laptop Zune didn't recognize it as a backup and kept deleting it.
So I figured I would just wait and come to work to restore my backup and now my backup from WORK is deleted as well. I still have the file on my laptop at home, so at least I still have it.
My question is, is there a way I can use my restore point, or is there a flashable 7740 Stock ROM for the T-Mobile Lumia 710 I can use?
I believe the phone must have the primary sync relationship with the computer that you're trying to restore on. Sync the phone with the PC (and make it the primary PC) and then try copying in the restore point to the correct location (make sure it's the right location! You may need to close Zune before you can overwrite the folder that is automatically created when you sync the phone). Then, try restoring again. Ideally, you'd be able to Syn with Zune, copy over the restore point while Zune is running, and then go to Settings - Phone - Update and hit Restore.
For another way to restore the phone, try the following:
Disconnect from the PC and turn the phone off.
Press and hold the Camera button, then press Power. The phone should boot into the backup/update/recovery mode (mostly black and white).
On the PC, start Zune and copy the restore point. If you can't copy the restore point while Zune runs, close Zune, do the copy, and then start Zune again.
Connect the phone (still in recovery mode) to the PC (with Zune running) via USB.
Zune should prompt to restore the phone, tell it to do so.

Backing Up phone (incl. apps)

Yes, i know of titanium backup
however, i find it extremely cumbersome. especially for my nexus 5, where the backups will NOT show up in the folder when i connect it to my pc, although i created a folder in TB in a location visible on my pc.
anyway, i was wondering if there is an itunes-like program for windows that allows me to connect my phone to the pc and use that program backup everything, including apps, to the computer and restore when needed? does something like that exists?

If your bootloader is unlocked, you can flash or boot into TWRP recovery, it supports MTP.
This means if you are in TWRP recovery, you can view all /sdcard files on phone and backup any folder, including
Titanium Backup folder via windows explorer directly to PC.
Also, it is a good safety practice to make a full backup in TWRP. Again with the MTP capability of TWRP recovery , you can view and backup
the TWRP directory directly to PC via windows explorer.
Simple:good:
If you have any connection problems between PC and TWRP MTP, it is likely driver related.
You will need to look in Device manager on PC while phone is connected.
Download the howto_driver.zip from the "15 seconds ADB Installer thread" and follow the picture tutorial contained in the zip file. This should fix your connectivity issues.
If you are sill having connection issues, You could try and install ADB drivers . It might help the pc detect.
64bit
32bit
Then go back through the picture tutorial in the howto_driver.zip
Best of luck
Use Titanium Backup. But I prefer Helium
Use NexusRootToolkit. It is somewhere here on XDA. Cannot give you the link now, but search and you'll find it.

This is a problem with MTP not TiBu. Even on a good day, it's flaky.

Yes,
I meant to say In TWRP recovery, you can view all /sdcard files on phone.
Not all /Root files
You can also MPT from Android. But for me, transfer seem more reliable from TWRP.
