Finding ftf.. - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking for an update firmware for my Z3 cuz i want to flash the androplus kernel.. i'm on the 23.0.A.2.98 build, and my device is a D6603 model.
I searched in this forum but i can only find 23.0.A.2.98 build, any suggestion?

Use xperiafirm to download any FTF you want
Just google it or look in the cross device development section

Try it without, if it works then great
If you get a lot of FC, do it again and wipe data

Cm=cyanogenmod
And...in my opinion stock cm10 +riches kernel is faster than stock so if you want to overclock cpu and such things , install cm. but before , flash stock 4.0.4 dunno which build number it is XD
cause when not your gsm is not working
And another good thing, think you know it, riches kernel comes with dual recovery

Ehm first is your bootloader unlocked?
When yes flash boot.img from cm then boot into recovery . Make factory reset, cache and dalvik wipe and go to mounts and storage , format system ... install avd rom , make permission fix (its in advanced) then dont reboot it , just take out battery then flash vengeance, simple or the stock kernel

Stock 15.3.A.1.14 kernel

As the title say ,from where can I get the stock 15.3.A.1.14 kernel.I have searched on net but no luck.I don't want to flash the firmware using flashtool again. Is there any way to get it from the 15.3.A.1.14 firmware ftf ?
Use flashtool to flash stock kernel from the ftf.
1. Connect your device on flashmode.
2. Select .14 firmware
3. Under exclude section select all except kernel.
4. Under wipe section deselect both DATA and CACHE
5. Now Flash your device and you will have the stock kernel on your device.

Update 32.2.A.0.305 to 32.2.A.5.11

Hello Guys,
actually i am a total noob at this because i had not much time to get in the topic.
So i want to Update my Device because its showing me the Update aviable massage.
I have:
ROM: [email protected]
Recovery: TWRP Installed
Kernel: Androplusv40
Bootloader: Unlocked
Can anybody give me advise how i can update to the newest stock rom?
I guess their is no .zip to flash in recovery? I want to keep my recovery and root if that is possible.
Thanky you!
Greetings Abgeloust.
You cant keep recovery or root through an upgrade but it shouldent be too hard to re-root
You can use flashtool to flash a newer FTF without data loss and then you can also use flashtool to flash a elf or img kernel (usually has recovery included with xperias)
If ye need some more explaining then let me know
Sent from my E6653 using XDA-Developers mobile app
other option is to use flashfire ( from google play )
u can update ur device wothout reseting

you can open something called xperifirm via flashtool (if you have a newer version) it should be a little XF icon somewhere along the tool bar
once that is open you can pick your device from the list on the left and then click check all at the top right, to download your FTF you click a version from a country/region and then click on the right where it says avaliable firmware ON a avaliable firmware, from there you can download and will be automatically added to Flashtool when finished.

I goofed up big time.

I have an Xperia Z5 E6653 and while trying to remove root i sort of "accidentally" wiped my firmware. To restore my phone I've tried flashing stock firmware (multiple times mind you) tried the Xperia companion to no avail. When trying to boot up the phone it just boots up and powers itself down automatically while flashing a red light. I can access Flashmode and Fastboot. When using the Xperia companion to repair my device it just gives me an error to try again. At this moment I'm not sure what to do. If somebody could kindly help me it would be greatly appreciated and if you need further details just ask me ! :good:

Download Newflasher and put it in the same folder as the firmware you downloaded from Xperiafirm
Delete Userdataxxx.sin and files ending in .ta . This will ensure that you don't lose any personal data.
Then start newflasher.exe and follow instrctions.

Will that clear out the recovery? Will I still be able to use the camera without needing the greenfix?

It will wipe TWRP and the camera 'fix' will be gone.
But once you have TWRP reinstalled you can flash @janjan's kernel and everything will be good.

Didn't work for me unfortunately.
I guess I'll have to just do a backup, wipe everything and start from scratch.
Thanks for your help @Didgesteve
Follow this A B C Newflasher guide to the letter, see if you missed anything...
http://www.xperiablog.net/2018/01/2...-firmware-for-xperia-xz-premium-xz1-and-more/
You could also try a "Software Repair" through Xperia Companion... but it will return it too "OOTB" condition
cheers

Will it do that for me?
Thanks
