Hi guys,
I have the G8141 running Oreo build 47.1.A.12.235 rooted etc with TWRP ROM.
What's the best way for me to get stock? Either on oreo or pie?
Thanks

Download Newflasher and put it in the same folder as the firmware you downloaded from Xperiafirm
Delete Userdataxxx.sin and files ending in .ta . This will ensure that you don't lose any personal data.
Then start newflasher.exe and follow instrctions.

Thanks!
Will that clear out the recovery? Will I still be able to use the camera without needing the greenfix?

It will wipe TWRP and the camera 'fix' will be gone.
But once you have TWRP reinstalled you can flash @janjan's kernel and everything will be good.

Didn't work for me unfortunately.
I guess I'll have to just do a backup, wipe everything and start from scratch.
Thanks for your help @Didgesteve
Follow this A B C Newflasher guide to the letter, see if you missed anything...

You could also try a "Software Repair" through Xperia Companion... but it will return it too "OOTB" condition
cheers

Will it do that for me?

Thank you vangeodee, I have a couple of questions:
1- Will this process wipe all my data and external apps , so I have to back up first ?
2- Suppose I could install the flash KDZ, can I unroot then or it will install the old ROM from the begining ?

Depends, you can either do a normal flash of your current ROM or you could do a CSE flash that would wipe everything.
Here's a rundown:
1.) Normal Flash - flashes stock stuff on top of whatever is running on your phone at the moment. I did this after I installed MLKernel which, unfortunately broke my WiFi and Camera so I had to flash back to stock. I tried this option first because I didn't want to redownload/install everything. Surely enough, I restored stock kernel and got unrooted, but the WiFi and Camera were still broken.
So if you're looking to just remove root and not lose anything, this is what you'd want to choose. Look for the correct KDZ for the current stock ROM you are on. Flash it wrong, and I can't guarantee anything.
2.) CSE Flash - nothing much to write about. Cleans the entire 16/32GB of your internal. that includes apps, files, pictures, documents or anything really that's stored on internal storage. If you've got Titanium backups in internal, well kiss those goodbye after CSE flash.
Or you can direct in Superuser app unroot.

Thank you, that is what I did, and I guess it went successfully. The superuser app disappeared afterwords.
But is there anything or test I can do to be sure ?

Which version of TWRP did you flash ?
Also, I have this problem too, but after set a PIN code (because of the fingerprint use) I have to enter a code in TWRP. I try the PIN code, and it's working

If your bootloader is unlock you don't have to downgrade to 6.0.1
For the rest, follow my guide. I didn't say to flash androplus through Flashtool, but through the terminal. Take some time to read it, and understand the procedure

I guess you could try to boot into TWRP --> Wipe --> Format Data --> Ext4(if it asks)
Or try to re-install stock firmware with some official way or in TWRP by following this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-4x/how-to/install-emui-4-1-4x-4c-g-play-g-play-t3515702

And then I downloaded UPDATE.APP and moved it into that zip file and then I mounted all partitions and flashed normally using twrp. Before first boot format cache and data. Also you need unlocked bootloader.

I have an Xperia Z5 E6653 and while trying to remove root i sort of "accidentally" wiped my firmware. To restore my phone I've tried flashing stock firmware (multiple times mind you) tried the Xperia companion to no avail. When trying to boot up the phone it just boots up and powers itself down automatically while flashing a red light. I can access Flashmode and Fastboot. When using the Xperia companion to repair my device it just gives me an error to try again. At this moment I'm not sure what to do. If somebody could kindly help me it would be greatly appreciated and if you need further details just ask me ! :good:

You watch video in youtube. Very most add video for flashtool in youtube
So long story short, I deleted the system completely and I have no backup. Don't ask how or why because I was stupid. Really stupid. Flashing doesn't work , idk why. Tried it a million times and nothing. I found a thread somewhere where a guy fixed a problem like this when he used someone else's backup to restore the system, so if someone could upload system backup for my A8 (SM-A530F/DS) so I could try to fix it that way I would be really grateful.

redownload a frsh copy of ther tar.img for your phone from sammobile.com, get a fresh download of Odin as well. I assume that Odin shows your device as COM# in the dialog box when its in download mode and connected via USB?
this is also assuming that your battery hasnt gone completely dead, in which case youll have to either perform surgery on it to remove the battery and put in one that has a charge as it requires at least a bootable recovery to charge the batt
