Hello Guys!
Recently i purchased a gamepad without considering the fact that it requires OTG support, actually i didn't know about all this stuff.
I checked galaxy core specification but OTG support was not mentioned anywhere.
So to confirm it i downloaded " USB HOST CHECKER" . This app has an option also to enable OTG support if the device supports OTG but disabled by manufacturer.
The app showed that core has OTG support but it is not enabled, so to enable it i used in-app fix option and it confirmed that support has been enabled and i need to reboot system but nothing worked.
Please Look at the screenshot and
Tell me if there are possibilities to use OTG.

I've already done some searching and it appears that a gentleman has figured out a way to enable USB host mode (a.k.a. OTG USB support) on the Nexus One. I can't post links to the forum yet, but you can find it by googling "Connect USB peripherals to your Nexus One."
I'd like to know if it's possible for the G2x and if anyone knows of any developers currently working on it. That's all.

Same phone, same interest.
I saw a guy making a patch for the Droid, using a Qualcomm processor.
Google, "Working MSM7201 usb host driver v2"
I'm interested in attaching USB FAT32 via OTG to my P999-G2x, either with, or without supplemental power tether (which works great on the HP Touchpad with Alpha2 CM7!!).
USB Host for G2X
I need USB host support to interface my G2X phone with arduino. Can anyone make or find a solution i have looked everywhere.
Thank You
I currently have the Samsung Galaxy S2 which supports USB OTG, I'm trying to figure out a way to enable ANT+ for fitness apps. Their are several USB adapters such as the Suunto Movestick Mini. I was thinking I could hook up this usb stick and enable ANT+. Does anyone know if this is possible? I currently have ICS installed.
Has anyone done this on other USB OTG enabled phones?
anyone know of anything?
ANT+ via USB OTG
There was an officail anouncment about this from the ANT people the other day. With a siutable phone it should be now possible. I have made a release of my IpBike app today which in theory should work but I don't have a suitable device to test with so would be very interested in anyone getting it to work.
I would put some suitble linkes here but it looks like I can not. I have added some details to iforpowell.com

I've just upgraded my SGS2 to ICS and connected a Suunto Movestick Mini Ant+ adapter using an USB OTG cable in order to be able to use my fitness sensors (HR belt and speed/cadence sensors from Garmin) and it works like a charm thanks to the great softwares created by ifor.
But be careful because after rooting my phone the new kernel was unable to handle the ANT USB driver and therefor it stopped working. After a few attempts i found that using a Siyah kernel (currently v4.0.1) will restore the ability to use again my Ant adapter and sensors.
Hello.
I have a Samsung S4 mini i9195 with CM11 nightly ROM. Unfortunately this rom does not have OTG and BLN support , which I think are some very interesting options.
I have installed the version 1.4.0 Kernel f4ktion that has these functions . Now I can connect a keyboard and a mouse and through "screen mirroring" I can see it on the TV, all perfect except 2 issues .
I use a powered USB hub, but the storage units are recognized but not mounted. I installed several apps and finally I read through the "USB OTG Helper " application , although it is not mounted as an external USB drive , but as a folder in /storage/UsbOtgDrives/drive_1.
Is it normal to have to use an external application and the mount as folder? I've seen other smartphones that automatically detected and mounted without applications as USB external drive.
The second problem is more important to me and I decided not to use the kernel f4ktion for this reason.
I use an application called " DroidWall " to control Internet access to each application. This allows me to control which applications can access internet via wifi but not on 3G. Something very useful for those who have limited data on 3G.
The problem is that when I install this kernel , DroidWall exits with failure. Does anyone know why this happens or if there is an application like DroidWall work well with kernel f4ktion ?
Thanks an Regards
Hi guys, should have my P8max tomorrow, was just wondering if any of you guys had tested USB OTG with it? If it can't do USB audio out then that's going to be a major problem for me (if it doesn't support it natively that's OK, providing an app like USB Audio Player PRO or Hiby Music Player works). Generally anything that has OTG support will work with those apps, so should be fine, but always nice to have confirmation - don't suppose anyone here has tested it out? Any other feedback about USB OTG welcome.
i tested internet via usb otg. It's not working bec. google has disabled usb otg on android 4.4 and higher. why? i don't know. it's stupid google decision.
internet via usb can be enabled but:
1. it's need root
2. it's always need wifi or fake wifi connection
3. stupid google
USB OTG drives work for me, the DACs I have also work, although they need USB Audio Player PRO or Hiby Music to function. Only phone I've tried with functional USB ethernet via OTG was the ASUS Padfone Infinity, and even there I suspect it only worked because the drivers were intended for use in tablet mode.

ASUS Padfone Infinity on Android 4.4.
Trouble with USB ethernet via OTG users have on Android 5.0 and higher.
Confirmed ... USB OTG works for my P8 max...
Confirm Usb OTG working on DEV701-L europe.
I have connected a 1 Tb 2,5" external Hd and it worked perfectly.
Hi,
There is no option to enable OTG operation in settings. Only 'disable OTG after 10 mins of inactivity' toggle is given. I tried using two OTG adapters (one from Remax and another) but they are not detected. 'USB OTG Checker' app log is attached. Please suggest what to look for next.
Update: there is a hidden 'Enable OTG' tile in quick access swipe down menu. Had to enable that. Thanks dvdarshan at indian realme community forum.
Thanks
Update: same devices, otg adapters etc are working on other devices.
