It's a little better, but you will find the real improvement in performance and battery life by flashing a custom kernel.

Try downloading it to your device and using install, not sideload.
Also, others have successfully flashed the zip - see the comments in the main thread. I'll check it out myself.

I am using the unofficial TWRP 2.8.4.1. Would it be because I am still on CM11 and need to flash the CM12 firmware update first?

I don't know what is causing this...I can flash other ROMs just fine.
I'm coming from stock rooted cm11s xnph05q, maybe I should flash CM12 ROM first ?

Then there's something wrong with the download possibly? Check the MD5SUM.
I just flashed a new build. I'll upload this one so you can try again with a fresh build.

It worked when I flashed the bacon firmware update before I flash the rom.

Reporting back:
Your ROM is exactly what I was looking for. However, it looks like it suffers the same issues with micro-lag/stutter like the other Lollipop ROMs. Below are the steps that I took.
- full wipe
- firmware update
- rom flash
- gapp flash
- supersu flash

Hello I recently flash XenonHD into my OnePlus but it appears to be stuck on the XenonHD boot animation. Any suggestions? This is comming from a fresh Lilipop CM 12 nightly with 5.0 gaps.

Manually wipe (dalvik/cache/system/data) DON'T select SD storage.. Reflash rom/gapps and reboot.. It does take a bit longer to boot than some ROMs but less than 5 minutes..

[Q] How to install custom recovery after root?

first things first. I'm a noob. HAHA. but i'm willing to learn.
I recently rooted my phone by using chainfire's CF-AUTO-ROOT and it has stock recovery on it. Now, I want to install a custom recovery, specifically cwm recovery. How will be able to do this? Do I have to unroot then root again? a step by step info will be appreciated. thanks
First of all find a cwm file for ur device specific to the model u have on google. Flash it with Odin n u will have the recovery.

done finding cwm file that's compatible with my tab
Flashing? not really that well with android terms yet. after clicking "pda" then selecting the cwm file, should I click start? is that what you meant by flashing?
I appreciate your help.
Yeah first go to download mode holding power and volume down button and select the file in the PDA section n just click on start. And wait till pass. appears on the Odin screen. That's it.

Your thread is changing direction but I can't resist commenting anyway. If your tablet is rooted, stock I don't think you will see big benefits to a custom ROM. For other tablets I use like the Kindle, Nook and N7 custom roms can make a huge difference. I'm running CM 10.? Or variants of that on those devices. My most used tablet is this 2.7 with stock ROM. If you must try another ROM, I'd suggest a sick based ROM that is deodexed with sound or visual enhancements. Also, changing to a noon, Touchwiz launcher will make big differences. GOOD LUCK!
P.S. quess what a ROMaholic might be.

Okay, first, make sure you have whatever you need backed up.
Second, wipe everything except SD card ( dalvik, cache, system, boot, data)
Third, reflash the ROM, and report back if your problem persists.

You can't dirty flash a 4.3 rom over a 4.2 rom like you did since the gapps are not compatible. It causes all sort of force close like you have. Do as Setting.Out said and make sure you download the correct gapps for 4.3. Flash them after you flash your rom.

I could never get this image to install when I've tried it -- I suspect it requires a 4.2.X or earlier recovery to flash. (This image is quite old) My 4.3.1 recovery throws errors with this one.

[Q] has anyone found a solution for this BT and WIFi collision?

it seems to be an ongoing issue which defenitely prevents me from moving to cynogen mod.

It is available. Nightlies are being built every day. I believe the fix has also been rolled into the CM 10.2 codebase, and will hit in the next stable release. Though @Nardholio will have to confirm that.
Nightlies aren't stable question has it bee introduced to 10.2 stable release from December

The recovery I posted is the only recovery image that TeamApexQ supports. I also posted a recovery zip later in the thread that I can assure you works as well. Any other recoveries that you can get to work, excellent, but we are not supporting it. The OP will not be changed. As for the question of BTC, as I already stated, we've fixed it in CM-11. We found new firmware that works with it and the Relay.

5.1.1 to CM12.1 advice please

Hi
Stock 5.1.1 LMY48B
rooted with TWRP installed.
Can I flash to CM12.1 just by flashing the zip from TWRP ?
will I lose any data ? Do I need to worry about bootloader or radio versions ?
If I want to go back is it as simple as flashing my nandroid backup ?
Thanks

As I know going from rom to rom you need to make a factory reset.
That will remove all what is stored on /data
All apps, cache and dalvik cache.
All other data insidr /storage/sdcard will be on safe
As I know stock rom cannot be restored, but I just take this device before 1 day. I don't know for that, because on mine previous phone that was impossible

CM nightlies include a radio and bootloader so you don't have to worry about that.

No they don't.
But since he's upgraded to stock 5.1.x already, everything is up to date and there's nothing to worry about. Besides, Google's bootloaders usually have good forward- and backward-compatibility.

From Jira:
Me => CM (AOSP) is the only rom which has a bootloader and a radio into its zip. Why? Could you remove them?
I was on the newest bootloader HHz12f and a radio from KRT16M. Every time I flash CM nightlies I have to update my bootloader and flash an older radio. Very annoying.
Thank you.
CM Team => Sorry, we will continue to ship both. It saves us more headaches in the long run. Thanks for your understanding.
It's as simple as that.

Custom ROMs have a check into their update-script for the bootloader version. If you don't have the good one then you can't flash it.
