Google Fit
Google Fit is about to redefine the way we see smartphone health. Closely tied into Android Wear but functioning perfectly fine on it's own, Google Fit will help you achieve your fitness and activity goals.

Google Fit is the simplest and easiest to understand health app I've seen.

Hi,
on my Samsung S4 with Android 5, this App measures totally wrong distances, even I have allowed high detail positioning, including GPS. Generally, my tracks are recorded way to low, when I go for a walk, my Garmin GPS says 6.1km for example, and Google Fit says 1.2km. Or I was wandering last weekend, GPS device says 20.1km, Google fit says 12.5km, and so on.
The only way this seems to improve is when I run a logging app like "My tracks" at the same time, but when only Google fit is active in the background, the values are totally randm, but always too low

Gmapps thinks I'm in Pucking, Austria!

so i was having some fun with mock locations on goggle maps and changed my location to a place called Pucking in Austria (infantile i know but a laugh is a laugh. i had done this using Fake GPS Location (play store link) no my phone while out and about.
now both my phone and tablet both seem to think I'm in Austria! Any longer and i might start replacing the P with an F!!
Now carrying out a stringent set of experiments i am able to report I am still in fact just outside Manchester in the UK (i looked out the window: it's raining. most of the signposts are in english and when I buy anything the money i use has the queen on it!)
Any idea on how i can fix this?
cheersmadeers and have a great weekend

Clear app data for the mock location app and, mainly for safety sake, g maps as well. Reboot, again, to be through, and I would image you'll be back to singing "Hail to the Queen", versus making statements such as "achtung!".
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Disable mock gps locations, uninstall the Fake gps location (in case it keeps popping up in background), reboot phone, turn wifi/3g on and gps. That should lock it where you are.

p/s: same thing happen to my Gear Fix as well
+1
I've noticed the same thing using the Gear Fit.
Quite disappointing.
I actually cant get S.Health to run at all. Only the much weaker "Fitness with Gear" app.

Click to collapse
I actually got S Health to work somehow by installing the apk from the S5 (i'm using a Note 3) but it doesn't work very well,
Not all the data get's synced, such as heart rate, also there's no option to enter a custom workout, only the 4 predefined ones.
I'm having the same issue! Terrible! This in combination with it showing wrong speed, not being able to track indoors... I'm wondering how much time Samsung put into the exercise part. It's the part I care most about!

What is it?
Arounder - mobile social network that use geolocation features of your mobile device to show people, events and news around you.
The main difference from usual social networks is in using geolocation to any kind of content (photo, posts, messages and etc.). You have two types of newsfeed: usual (from friends and followers) and GEOfeed - post that left by users in your place.
It also has very high accuracy to show you people around: each next in list is farther from previous.
We have many ideas for further features
SCREENSHOTS:
REQUIREMENT:
Since this application uses your location for its many features, your device must have geolocation support (GPS or A-GPS) and geolocation must be enabled on it.
Otherwise, Google Play will say something like "your device isn't supported".

I am the author of a completely new application created to increase road safety. Using the application motorcyclist, cyclist or pedestrians can impart their position, and the driver can these road users detect in real time - then a message is displayed on the widget on the type of the detected object with the specified interval estimate of the distance to the nearest object detected. It is based on WiFi, WiFi analyzes name, not connects to any network and does not mention any data between users. As far as the range is in a straight line is up to 140 meters, it is known that all turns and terrain affect the range, however, it is enough that the dispute about detecting the driver can be valuable. The application is available for free on Google Play. Could you please test the application and write me what do you think about it?
I just try to change something for the better
lots of greetings!

Android Navigation Apps With Weather Radar

Are there any decent navigation apps for Android that can overlay a weather radar display on the same map? Such a feature would be extremely useful when traveling through inclement weather and trying to avoid the worst areas.
This is a pretty good example of what I am looking for, but sadly it's built into a specific infotainment system rather than a generally available app. I don't care if it's a paid app as long as the price is reasonable.
That's what ChatGPT says:

Thanks but Google Maps ands Waze do not currently have weather overlays despite being a long-requested feature, as discussed in this thread. I've looked. And apps like Acuweather have the weather radar but no navigation. know plenty of apps that do one or the other, but nothing that does both on Android (although it appears to be a thing on other platforms like ios or infotainment systems; heck, pilots have had weather + nav since the 1950s).
AFAIK Google Maps includes real-time weather data, though It may not be informative enough for hardcore weather geeks, but it is sufficient for getting through the day and planning short trips, IMO.
