Gear 2 Heart Rate monitor does not sync with S-Health Chart, I can get Average Heart Rate, Maximum Heart Rate but not recorded in chart. Is there any setting is required? Please advise. Thanks.

p/s: same thing happen to my Gear Fix as well
+1
I've noticed the same thing using the Gear Fit.
Quite disappointing.
I actually cant get S.Health to run at all. Only the much weaker "Fitness with Gear" app.

I actually got S Health to work somehow by installing the apk from the S5 (i'm using a Note 3) but it doesn't work very well,
Not all the data get's synced, such as heart rate, also there's no option to enter a custom workout, only the 4 predefined ones.
I'm having the same issue! Terrible! This in combination with it showing wrong speed, not being able to track indoors... I'm wondering how much time Samsung put into the exercise part. It's the part I care most about!

So I after a long time saw what apps were consuming data on my phone and its rather disturbing what I saw. This is one month's figures.

Why on earth is talkback using that much data when I dont even have the service enabled??
Next up is nova launcher prime. I did grant it permission to collect data but that much in just a month??
Next up is beautiful widgets, again why on earth does a weather app need to use that much data??
Next up is clean master, I dont even use it that much so how could it be using that much data?
The last one is actually the most shocking one "MultiTouch tester" app because I havent even opened that app in like months.
Is it really normal for apps that gather data to do it that much in a month? Not only does it seem a problem with privacy but also with battery life under wifi. Remember all of these apps have many downloads and great ratings on the play store so its not a case of them being shoddy apps.
What is your opinion on all this?

Google Fit is the simplest and easiest to understand health app I've seen.

Hi,
on my Samsung S4 with Android 5, this App measures totally wrong distances, even I have allowed high detail positioning, including GPS. Generally, my tracks are recorded way to low, when I go for a walk, my Garmin GPS says 6.1km for example, and Google Fit says 1.2km. Or I was wandering last weekend, GPS device says 20.1km, Google fit says 12.5km, and so on.
The only way this seems to improve is when I run a logging app like "My tracks" at the same time, but when only Google fit is active in the background, the values are totally randm, but always too low

Thanks forward. Sorry for my english.
What gear are you using? I have found that the edge isn't as fully supported as the 4. Might want to get the 4 as well.
Btw, have you checked out SONAR?

Thanks for your help, I am writing about VR one year everyday. I have so much headsets home, so I dont need Gear VR. It is not about it is supporting it is not. It is about problem which you see. For an example here is screen of one guy, which has Note Edge too and his display shows this :
And this is mine:
You can see a difference.
Yes, if you mean game for Gear VR. I tried it, but not on my phone...
Ok, S3 experts...
New Gear S3 owner here. Frontier with LTE on T-Mobile. Love it for style and function both! I'm delighted with it so far after about ten days of use.
Here's a question: How come that the Watch Faces app takes up 51% of my battery consumption when it's set to auto off? Seems a little excessive to me. Now, I DO have 89% after about 8 hours since the last charge. So that's not awful battery life. Just the 51% number is kinda out there.
Your thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
if your only using your watch in that 8 hrs for checking time mostly.. the only item in use would be the watch face.. so when you "auto on" the display, the first thing up is the watch face....
thats the way the % used of battery was explained to me.
The battery usage also depends on the Watchface you using. Samsung recommending to use darker watch faces. I had similar issue. I changed the watchface to a darker one and also rebooted the device. The battery life is excellent so far.

Hi,
I use different apps for sports tracking, mostly for paragliding and each of them records highly fluctuating altitudes. Here is an example:

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
Practically, this was a very constant descent, so it should be more or less a straight line. My girlfriend uses the same apps but on a Pixel 4a and gets smooth altitudes. Factory resetting the phone also didn't help... So I really think, this a general problem with my particular phone or Pixel 3as in general. Does anybody else have such problems? Or even a solution?
The graph you posted only shows the end result and the reason for the fluctuations could be many things.
I would think the app or graphing software you are using would ignore readings that are over a certain threshold, so check the settings. Or you can just upgrade to a 4a.
Thank you! As it affects all apps I really think that it must be a faulty output of the GPS. As those tracks are always recorded in an unobstructed environment (the air ;-) ) I can exclude almost all errors discussed in your linked article. They would maybe explain 10s of meters of fluctuation but not ~500m. Those are also not singular readings but a couple of readings in a row, so not really outliers. I just wanted to check if there are others with the same problem or if my phone is defect.
