And then something long and complicated although the explanation may seem simple.
You have to unlock the bootloader. (if you do not know what it is, look on google)
You must obtain permissions Root (if not even know this always tries)
After installing the play archives Store manager who is able to get into the system folder of your smartphone (with root permission of course)
and so you can start to clean up everything.
NB: if you look carefully you will find here on XDA some guide that will explain what you need to do well. you just try

At first root your device if already done skip it download titanium backup app from Google play store after installation open it and del. The apps what ever you want .don't remove important system app other wise your system may brick.
For safety you can use clean master app. This app automatically give you details that which app you can remove withot risk and what happened if you remove that app.

you need root access and system app uninstaller if you don't have of them then you can try to disable pre-installed app from setting

Hi All,
Need help of this forum in solving a problem. The problem is in two parts.
1. I need to gain root access on my 7.1.1 on Merlin.
So can i use adb to gain root access ? Learnt something like this from giving elevated access to Greenify for doze. Can someone point to the right direction so that i can learn it to do myself and not depend on third party apps.
2. I have given administrator usages to Airwatch Agent which monitors whether i have root or not. If i gain root access then i lose the service and wont be able to view configured mails. So basically i need to root and not let all the apps know i have root. Somehow hide it.
Please guide. Thanks in advance.

Well, basically you are not going to get around AirWatch knowing you are rooted, even with Magisk if their Air Watch server is relatively current... I have tried and tried this (we sell and administer Airwatch for ourselves and lots of customers). Airwatch has been specifically designed to detect King*Root, SuperSU, and Magisk (and it's iPhone equivalents), and it uses far more advanced detection schemes than just SafetyNet, so far it hasn't been bypassed that we have seen on Android 6 and higher devices... (Android 5.1 and older have a different mechanism for bypassing root detection from Airwatch that apparently isn't possible with Marshmallow and higher). Also be aware that Airwatch will flag any device on a custom ROM of any kind too (rooted or not) as an incompatible device.
I don't think there is sufficient need for a detection bypass to be implemented into Magisk for Airwatch, and I am not sure the developers would even consider it, since it would be more about getting around a corporate security policy you agreed too more than just getting around some stupid restrictions from the Play Store or an app developer, but hey, it's worth a shot to ask I guess.
Getting around most apps knowing you have root is pretty simple with Magisk, but Airwatch and some of it's competitors MDM applications are much tougher to deal with.
To be honest you are better to just let Greenify go or to get a separate cheapo device just for your corporate email and keep root on your personal device.

Thanks a lot for the comments. I however have not seen Airwatch revoking my device enrollment even when i am running a custom ROM. It just checks whether i have root or not.
And can you guide how to use Magisk to root my Nougat on merlin.

Download Magisk and flash it... If your running a custom ROM with SuperSU or some other root built in, might want to ask in your ROM thread to see the right process.
Odd a custom ROM doesn't do anything weird... We have tried several ROM's on our Nexus device and every one will not allow device enrollment.

I flashed magisk. It rooted my device. Could use greenify with root and lucky patcher with root too. Which means i have got root access. Now comes Airwatch Agent. It asked for root access And i denied it. So now my device is not unenrolled and i am able to use configured mails successfully. Happy. But confused.

So latest Magisk is not seen by AirWatch... Nice. I'll have to play with it again.

But there's a new problem now.

I lost the root. Dont know why. I actually tried installing supersu from playstore which asked something like- do you want to copy binaries to somwhere and i said yes. To that effect my device was unenrolled by Airwatch Agent. Then i removed supersu and i was able to enrol my device again. But the next morning i am noy rooted anymore. Lucky patcher says root is not stable. Don't know what to do.

You can't mix SuperSU and Magisk... after you flash Magisk you need to install Magisk Manager, but it isn't in the Play Store.
And BTW, don't mention Lucky Patcher here... that is purely a pirating app and users of it are thieves.
I will not assist you with anything to do with that software.

I am sorry if i offended the community. I installed it as a means to achieve background play of YouTube as till Marshmallow, this was beautifully done by xposed mods. But as for Nougat as xposed is still in development, i needed that app.
I was not aware of other uses of that app. Nor do i have any further intention. Actually i tried using OG Youtube and the other app which was needed but that provided for popup only. Hope you understand.

Not really... Background playback on YouTube is a paid service, no matter how you bypass that it's stealing.
Trust me, I don't like it either but I'm not going to steal the service

Got the message. I found it difficult to draw the line though.

System apps reinstall themselves on rooted sm_j727p

I went through the process developed by Ashyx to root the Boost Mobile of the SM-J727P. So far so good. Attempting to debloat this ohone results in system apps reinstalling themselves. Is there a way to disable write protection or is there a process I need to know about?

Use root eplorer to delete the apps from system file's !

check that auto update isn't selected in Playstore too

The apps are probably in the Preload(hidden) partition.

They are. System/apps, system/priv-apps and also data/apps are the 3 directories that I have uninstalled the bloat from and so far nothing has reinstalled itself.

My phone installing an app by itself

hey, i am confused by my android phone. it is installing an app called 'notification' by itself. i have tried to stop it by restricting 'installing from unknown sources' in settings and by uninstalling superSu. but it keeps installing it. i want to know why& how this is happenning.

Some other app that you've installed is doing it.
Have you rooted your device?
What method did you use to root it?
Did you use Kingroot or KingoRoot?

Yes, there must be some app you've installed that keeps installing the strange app.

No unusual app
I don't realy hv uncommon app. all are the ones everybody use. if useful i could list them.

It absolutely has to to be something you installed.
You didn't answer me question, by the way.
Did you root your device with Kingroot or KingoRoot? If so, that is what is doing it.

i rooted it with framaroot about a year ago.but the 'self install' thing began two weeks ago. new apps i hv installed are AIDE,,SCR pro & apk editor pr

Go to “developerettingUncheckInstall apps from external sources”(or something like that).
If the app is installing from play store delete the last install app. It maybe any thing like anti virus, phone booster, battery booster, twrp, recovery etc.
If the app is not installing from play store but downloading from internet then Go to settings> enable developer options> uncheck the box which says “Install apps from un trusted sources (or something like that). Then uninstall the last installed app or the app which u think is causing this issue. Same as above list.
Try closing all tabs in ur browser also.
Then install C cleaner app. Run it. Delete the files which u don't know. Then back to normal

How to uninstall system apps?

I'm on OOS, rooted with TWRP and I want to uninstall Duo, Youtube Music, Drive and all this other pre-installed crap-apps.
TitaniumBackup does not work anymore (it fails to locate the apks when you click "uninstall") and the often quoted "uninstall system apps with adb"-method just removes the app from user space while it actually remains installed on the device in the root directory and keeps wasting space. So this method does not actually remove apps, it just sorta deactivates them in another way.
So, is there any known method to remove system apps?

Read up on how to use adb commands.. quite simple..
pm uninstall --user 0 package.name.example

ADB still works .. or since your on 7 try this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp.pro.
Wait you weren't the original poster... But since he has TWRP installed he could just use the file manager and delete the files from there..

Thanks, but according to my knowledge this cannot work either since the app does not require root access. And you cannot uninstall system apps without having root. It probably just follows an adb-like approach.

That TWRP method sounds promising. Do you happen to know if all app related files are in one place or are they spread accross several folders?

Now with all due respect, you asked for a suggestion on how to remove the apps, they were given to you, you used every reason why not to use them... Have you even tried the various methods or just "read" about them ? Trying out the methods given then verifying through TWRP file manager would be nice learning experience once you "read " up and tinker with TWRP's file manager and different file locations...
But please make a backup before you start and have necessary programs handy in case you remove the wrong file... as it can really ruin your day..

It is simply NOT possible to uninstall system apps without root access. Thats why neither the adb method nor the other suggested app from questionable source can even work in theory. If it were otherwise, you would have found a major flaw in the android system, which, with all due respect, I doubt a tiny little bit.
You could also suggest to swim in a muddy pond for two days and look if this removed the system apps. But I hope you understand that I won't try that approach either because I prefer to not waste my time.
But thanks anyway for the TWRP idea, I'll look into that.

@haitower here's a Magisk module I use to remove a fair number of system apps. See the REPLACE variable in customize.sh

Use the magisk module "debloater". When you are done removing apps (don't really remove) just export the file. It will make text file in your storage. Then if you want to re-install any of the apps just reopen the app and import the file.

Maybe @BillGoss will help to clarify things a bit.
As far as i understand. On 8T (or better to say from Android 10 and latter) /system partition is read only and furthermore is located inside Super partition.
I suppose even with root access you will not be able to directly uninstall system apps without remounting /system/ as writable.
From Magisk manual we can learn that:
Since / is read-only on system-as-root devices, Magisk provides an overlay system to enable developers to replace files in rootdir or add new *.rc scripts. This feature is designed mostly for custom kernel developers.

For each module, the folder $MODPATH/system will be recursively merged into the real /system; that is: existing files in the real system will be replaced by the one in modules’ system, and new files in modules’ system will be added to the real system.

So as Magisk overlays modules /system folder to actual system with debloater module blank files android "thinks" those files specified in MODPATH/system don't exist.
Though a presume, in reality they are there.
So is magisk solutions really delete files from /system and not just "hide" them from Android?

For Xiaomi phones, first install the “Hidden Settings for MIUI” app.
1. Open “Hidden Settings for MIUI.”
2. Go to “Manage applications” and find the application you want to disable.
3. Tap on the “Disable” button.
