Hi, i just bought a Lenovo A526. After a few readings i tried to root my cell with few apps. I only managed to root it by using Kingo Root & I root. Unfortunately when i tried to install CWM/TWRP recovery i can't install from zip and even do backup. Then i go through the recovery & noticed that my emmc & sd is not mounted. I also tried to install CWM through MTK Droid Tools but also no luck. The indicator at the bottom is Blue or yellow. While an error " adbd files not installed: also popup when i press "Root".
Now i really want to know how to install CWM/TWRP recovery, properly root my device & flashing either MIUI Rom or Lollipop Rom. I really hope you guys can help me.

I cant boot my Droid 3 . It only pops up the Motorola logo and Droid 3 all over again.
Here is the procedures i'd done:
1.Root My droid 3 (works fine)
2.Installed Titanium Backup (works fine)
3.Installed Droid 3 safestrap (works fine)
4.Downloaded Steel Droid 3 (for custome ware.. My main Goal )
5.Installed & Run Droid 3 bootstrap
after that process i cant already boot up my Droid 3 Phone.
My bad. Can someone help me out with this issues. ? Thanks in advance. Happy Hollidays.
Try a factory reset and it should boot. My d3 guys said it harmed yo them occasionally after flashing a new rom
I tried it already. My bad, it doesnt work.
Hou might have to try to reset back to stock rom, using watever software\program you used to root it.an if that dosent work you should try wipe dalvik cache an try process again

I didnt install the Steel Droid III custom rom yet. I just downloaded it and place it in my internal storage. then i installed & run the bootstrap recovery and the problem occurs. I used Pete's Motorola Root Tools to root my phone. Do you know how to uninstall the safestrap in "Power button + X mode " or ""Power button + M mode " because i cant access my phone and my pc cant recognize it. thanks.
With out the rom the phone won't function properly an the system will crash try to install the rom
sent from epicjwolf
how can i install new rom ? i cant access my phone thru p.c , i can only access to recovery mode..
Try to flash it using the recovery or option 2 try to find a way to put it into download mode or just stock rom an install via phone

How ? can you instruct me. flash recovery method, im sorry sir im just a newbie here in android. thanks in advance
First your going to want to start in recovery
Find the file where you saved it an select it
If an error sign pops up saying invalid signuture or sumthin lyk that disable an try again then let the recovery work its magic
sent from epicjwolf
Sir, what exactly the file that i will select ? i have a sd card reader here sir. i can download it tru pc. when i browse tru recovery mode. i have no file to select
You need to have the file of the rom on your sd card in order to flash via phone
sent from epicjwolf
Sir u mean the Steel Droid that i downloaded ? or stock room ?
The droid rom or if you just want a quick un brick an start from scratch with root an all use stock rom.

Universal rooting method

Rooted, Had fun, Bricked, Back to Stock, No More Root??????
Ok, so I think the title says it all. I had successfully rooted my GT-S7262, via Odin, and had a lot of fun. But when I tried to install Chainfire 3D (Install the drivers I mean) I got stuck on the name of the phone, that is, after trying to reboot, my phone got stuck after showing the model name. It got bricked, I think.
So, I downloaded the latest firmware from sammobile, flashed it via Odin, and got a completely working GT-S7262, with stock firmware. Used it for 4 days, and now I am finally bored!! So, I tried to root via Odin again, but now I cannot get into Recovery Mode at all!! Now, I get the usual opening detail page with Samsung, and GT-S7262 written on it, with the Red Exclamation Mark at the top left corner, but after 1 second, the whole screen slowly goes white. It starts from the bottom of the page, and then the screen goes completely white....
Anyone who can help me at all with this???
Regards,
Ankush
P.S. - For those who haven't rooted there GT-S7262 device yet, and want some guidelines as to how to do it, drop me a PM, I will be glad to help.

Dude just found this new exploit that works like miracle on my S7262XXUAND5 firmware.
U will need odin latest version 3.09
recovery image(recovery.tar.md5)
Supersu apk
In this method u edit your build.prop to patch kernel due to which white screen issue is occuring.
1. Put Supersu apk in extsdcard of ur phone
2. Boot in download(odin) mode by pressing power+vol. down+home and leave power button when samsung logo appears after that press vol. up to enter dwnld mode.
3. Connect your phone to pc via usb and open odin.. it will show added when successfully connected.
4. flash recovery file by clicking on pda and selecting recovery.tar. md5 file.
5. Press start and wait ur phone will restart and wait until pass appears on odin.
6.Shut down phone again then press Vol. up+Home+Power button leave power button when logo appears.
7. Now As kernel is not yet patched the recovery will open but white screen will appears to u but it is actually cwm recovery up and running in background
8. Now as u cant see cwm u have to write these instruction on a page which I am about to tell or save them
Press vol. down button one time
Then power button
Now u have entered in install zip from sd card menu
Now again press power button now u have to choose zip from sd card u
press volume down 2 times and then press power button
Now u have selected supersu..zip
Now press 5 times vol. down and then power button
Cwm recovery will flash the zip
Wait for a minute or so and u will have installed supersu app.
9. The hard part is over now take battery out then put back in and start phone normally.
10.When phone is booting it will display android is upgrading message at boot it means phone is rooted and su binary is installed
11. Now phone is rooted. Install root explorer and open system/build.prop
13 Remember to mount it as R/W and grant superuser access.
12. to open build.prop long press on it and choose open with Text Editor.
13. now change ro.product.model to Galaxy S4
14. ro.product.brand and ro. product.manufacturer to Samsung with Capital S it would be small then save changes and restart phone.
15. Voila kernel is patched permanently ...
16.Enjoy.

Hi All,
I would like to request all the senior developers and supporters to read completely the issue I am facing and suggest me what should I do to resolve the issue.
I have rooted the device using Framaroot (downloaded the .apk file and installed on device and then run) and checked with Root Checker and found that it is rooted. Restarted once and saw the exclamation on boot screen which confirmed that it's rooted. Now my next job was to install custom ROM but everywhere I found that, phone must be rooted and CWM installed using ODIN. Here comes the issue:
My device is not booting (volume down+Home+Power) for installing CWM via ODIN.
Any other option to install CWM andtake the device to recovery mode and then upgrade it with available custom ROM?
Help me bro.
Hi , I want to install custom rom of cyanogen-12.1 on my samsung galaxy grand I9082(current ver 4.2.2). So i downloaded all the necessary zip files required for the process. Then I successfully installed "CWM touch recovery" zip using odin software. After that i installed UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.25 zip file using cwm touch interface and rebooted my device. After reebooting i checked that SuperSU app was there in my phone and i verified this with Root Checker also(it showing-Congrats! root access is properly installed on this device! ).
Now i want to install custom rom of cyanogen and gapps zip files. When i am pressing (power+vol up+home) button it showing "No Command" and in the background there is Android robot laying down with the red triangle and the exclamation mark "Error!" message and after some time samsung's recovery mode options are coming with heading on top "Android system recovery <3e>".
what are my options-
1. Do i need to remove/uninstall current SuperSU and cwm?
2. someone suggested that i need to install Fix-recovery zip file also. For this do i need to follow process again for cwm and fix-recovery both using odin or fix-recovery only.
I dont know what to do please suggest really stuck!!

Installing Clockworkmod Recovery on your Alcatel Onetouch Flash 6042D means that you will be able to flash new custom ROMs on it. Without custom recovery you cannot flash new ROMs. Also, it should be installed on rooted devices. Clockworkmod Recovery can also be used to backup your entire ROM.
WARNING: Installing a recovery may brick your phone...Don't Blame Me.. Do at your Own Risk...
Note:- Alcatel OneTouch Flash Recovery Uses a secured boot.img,so a custom recovery will cause boot loop..Please Download and Flash The unsecured boot.img from below link. And flash it with recovery..
You need:
1. A Windows PC
2. CWM recovery (Download)
3. Unsecured Boot.img (Download)
4. SP Flash tools (Download)
5. Driver (Download)
6. Scatter file (Download)
7.Alcatel Onetouch Flash 6042D
Follow these steps to flash custom recovery using sp flash tools:
Step 1: Extract/unzip all downloaded files.
Step 2: Open SP flash tool and load scatter file.
Step 3: Unselect all blocks and select only RECOVERY and BOOT.
Step 4: Click the location column of RECOVERY and BOOT and select downloaded
recovery and boot.
Step 5: Press and Volume Down + Power to Enter in CWM Recovery Mode.

connecting in sp flash & mtk droid tools.
hai there
I have a peculiar problem here. I am not a programmer or some thing like that. But an avid fan of android.
I am not able to get my rooted 6042d detected in SP FT & MTK droid tools to take a back up. My system is Win.XP [SP3]. I even formatted the system twice to remove left overs. Even, I am clue less how to get it done. I installed the drivers provided by you. I think my ignorance of windows is the main hurdle here. Can you please guide me - how to? Sorry for the bother.
I wish to flash the secure CWM made by you and the LP style rom followed by it.
1. spft says 'the application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect....reinstall..'
2.mtk droid tools says 'the device is not revealed.. connect or reconnect...' - on the right side -' in system already available android debug bridge 1.0.26'
thanks
PS: I know how to use both the tools, I did it with my previous device, also of MTK-zte.
Solution of your problem....

then u can try flashing My CWM recovery or Philz Recovery
(philz recovery can be found here...)
and got to this link
you can understand what is your problem connecting in mtk driod tool...
I think u must flash it.. because its the problem of your phone...
and if u face any problem contact me or for instant help just take the help of Google BABA!!!...
thanks for the swift reply.
SPFT problem solved as you suggested. But the problem with DT persists.
I do not have the stock rom of onetouch flash 6042d. [ my device is wrongly showing idol3!]
I want to have a SPFT back up in Droid Tools to be on safe side with imie etc. [being able to run Droid tools.]
I highly appreciate what ever the hints/advice I need in this regard, if extended.
When your LP themed rom for our device will be out?
