I've been on Cyangenmod CM11m12 for months and decided to give AHRD 22.2 a try. Already have the 4.4.4 firmware installed and SunShine'd long time ago.

In TWRP 2.8.4.0, did a factory reset, went through AROMA (wiped user data) which completed successfully. After rebooting it stayed at the HTC boot screen for 20+ min before I gave up. Turned to Google and tried a variety of things which didnt work either (fastboot erase cache, full format, run the installer 2x in a row, etc).
To confirm I could still run a Sense ROM, was able to successfully install and boot CleanROM-3.0 (after a factory reset, of course). Now currently in the process of restoring the cyanogen backup.
Searching online, there are plenty of posts with people having issues with AHRD stuck booting, but no clear path to a resolution. Anyone know the fix?
Tonight tried AHRD again, which resulted in the same issue stuck at the boot screen. Oddly after touching finish the phone power cycled instead of going back to TWRP.
Next tried ViperOneM8_3.2.1 which failed part way into the install (Installer Error (Status 7)). Tried booting and it got part way into the setup screens before various apps (sidebar, venom tweak, etc) started to crash.
Back in TWRP, this time I did a full format, rebooted back to recovery and tried AHRD install one last time. It completed successfully. This time it booted past the HTC screen after 2-3 minutes. Skipped past all the setup wizard stuff and got to the home screen. However WiFi refused to enable and LTE took a longer time to enable...but the settings pulldown didnt say I was ever connected to Verizon. Those two issues were enough for me to ditch AHRD once and for all.
Back in TWRP, factory reset, install CleanRom 3.0 successfully. From reboot to white HTC screen (after the Android L boot animation) was 2 min, then another ~2 min till the setup wizard appears. WiFI and Mobile data work just fine. No app crashes. Can't say the heavily modified sense roms work well 'out of the box'. Heck, the only reason I had to go down this route again is due to GPS not working (resolution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56882534&postcount=28)
Back to CM11 for now...
I'm not sure but I think there is different firmware choosing around for the lollipop roms. I've heard odd people flashing the firmware from sundream's s-rom and I think there are other firmware that have been posted.
My uneducated guys is that your "latest firmware" isn't actually the latest.

I'm at a loss here. I was using my phone as normal today, no issues all day. When I tried loading Facebook to respond to a comment I suddenly started getting a lot of stopped process errors. Pretty much all were GAPPS processes. Then my phone rebooted. After it booted back up (no issues, no subsequent reboots, saw the HTC screen and the ViperXL screen), my phone loads to an empty lock screen with the default ViperXL background and just the ring. The phone is also now in Airplane mode and showing the time to be 5 hours ahead. When I unlock the phone, I am met with a screen that tells me to "Type password to decrypt". I have never created a password. Nothing works. I can only make emergency calls. No amount of rebooting or wiping cache or dalvik in TWRP works. I have not updated this phone recently and when I try to restore from backup none of my backups show up in the TWRP folder. I cannot do a factory reset as I receive errors when attempting to mount the SD card. I've read several other forum posts for similar issues for different devices but none of what they try works. My computer recognizes when the phone is connected, but it does not mount the SD Card and I cannot put the ROM .zip file back onto it to reinstall from recovery. I cannot adb as it doesn't recognize the device as being connected. I can initiate fastboot and it does see my device, but when I try to erase the userdata partition or anything else I receive an error that states "failed (remote: not allowed)". All instincts would lead me to believe it's a locked bootloader, but the bootloader screen still shows as UNLOCKED. I am S-Off on HBOOT 1.14.0002. Currently ViperXL 3.2.6 is installed with ElementalXL 5.4 for the kernel and the AT&T 3.18 Radio. Again, I have not TOUCHED my setup in over 3 weeks, with the last update being the updated radio. I am freaking out without any means to communicate with my family and just want an operational phone again. Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We're you connected to an exchange server? It is the only thing that I know of that could wipe or encrypt your phone.

Well this is a new one on me. Not sure what happened or how I did it, but as you can see below, I managed to get my phone working again. I left it alone for a bit while I had dinner. Once done, I tried once again to do a factory reset in TWRP and all indications led me to believe that it had failed once again (received a failed notification). I then rebooted the phone and this time it brought me to the HTC setup screens where I was to enter all my info. I got past that and connected to my wifi. I then noticed my phone wouldn't get a network connection with AT&T so I downloaded and refreshed the 3.18 radio and after reboot it connected to LTE without issue. Since I lost all my data I am now in the process of reinstalling my apps. I had been meaning to do a full wipe eventually as things were getting a little sluggish, so I guess this just kicked me in the pants a bit. Bummed I lost my photos I took today, but what can you do?
To answer your question, no, I do not have it setup with Exchange. My company does not allow Android devices to connect to Exchange, only iPhones via ActiveSend so that wasn't it. This has happened to several others, but they were always in the act of flashing something or making changes when it happens, never just normal use and a magical reboot kills everything. This of course makes me nervous that it'll happen again, but seeing as I am in the market for the One, I might not have to worry much longer. Thanks for the suggestions.

As long as you can get into bootloader you can always run the ATT 3.18 RUU.

I have problems with my HTC Desire 820 (single SIM) phone, have been unable to fix it myself or seen any reference to the problem(s) on all the websites & forums I have visited.
The phone, by the way, runs very smoothly, is quick & its overall performance does not appear to be hindered by the issues mentioned below.
My intention was to root the phone, firstly I unlocked the bootloader as per the HTC Developers website. The next step was to root the phone however this is where the problems started as the phone refused to install the recovery & by implication, the SuperUser. Regardless of the utility used & I have since tried many (I really like the Windroid Universal Android Toolkit), the root does not occur. Have tried via laptop using 8.1 & later Win 10 & desktop PC using Win 7 & later Win 10 – same result, no root.
I have tried to relock the bootloader, however that will not work either.
There are two more problems, firstly the Factory Reset (buttons & software) now do not work either. The phone “gives the impression” it is doing a factory reset, however it has absolutely no effect. The final problem is that the phone now refuses to install the latest update (1.05.980.6), I select update, the phone restarts but immediately goes to the HTC Fastboot screen & waits for my next command. Regardless of the commands selected, when the phone has fully booted up, it tells me there is an update to install & asks would I like to install it – clearly a circular argument.

So in effect, my phone will remain on Android 4.4.4. indefinitely unless I can resolve the issues.
The bottom line is that I really do want to resolve all the issues - help please.

After running into trouble with apps and services constantly stopping/crashing, I tried flashing the stock image for my device based on the guide found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/index-moto-g-factory-firmware-images-t3169639
During the fastboot commands, I noticed that flashing gpt.bin failed, which from what I understand is caused by fastboot preventing you from bricking your device. All of the other commands went through fine, so I rebooted my phone.
However, just as the phone gets to the setup screen, I get a series of errors in which various google services stop, and/or the phone reboots a few times. One thing I noticed here was that the boot animation was different from when I first got the phone (it is the rotating globe whereas before it was the thread/needle animation).
Sometimes everything seems stable for a while, but then apps will start crashing frequently and I'll get random reboots again. Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to include as much information as possible to help.
Thanks in advanced everyone.
Try factory reseting once

Thanks for the reply. I gave it a go, but apps and services are still crashing, unfortunately.
One other note is that sometimes when the device reboots it won't go through a full boot cycle. I.e. sometimes it will reboot mid boot and others it will skip the boot animation altogether and go straight to the lockscreen.
please help me .. my phone identifies and tries to connect to network, but i cant access to any network. I tried turning radio on and off.. searching automatically and manually. When i did a check up from a service , they said that there are no hardware issues. my phone did fall from me and showed some glitches but it was ok when i hard reset it. during at that moment i wiped my dalvik cache, cache, and factory reset through twerp recovery. maybe an stock flash would do the trick ?
