XT925 become a Brick! Without trying anything! - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone!
Sorry to bother you but my sister in lay has a big problem and her XT925…it become a brick over night!!
The phone wasn´t rooted o even had the bootloder unlock!
When we turn on the phone, it loads the Motorola logo and wont continue.
I tried to flash it but can’t make it throw.
We are from Argentina and use Personal as a carrier.
These were the thing I try (all in AP FASTBOOT… Device is LOCK. Status Code 0):
First:
I download a firmware (9.8.2Q-50-XT925_VQLM-20_Personal_AR_SIGNED_S12_USAVANQUPERARLA01F.0R_VANQJBPERARLA_P006_A007_CFC_fb.xml) and use the RSD 6.1.4 but fail. In the phone, had the following error:
“downgrade security version
Update gpt_main version faild
Prefash validation failed for GPT”
Second:
Using the same firmware and RSD, I erase the following line “<step operation="flash" MD5="68b23ea5ffaeb78ee66580697dd07cad" filename="partition_signed" partition="partition"/>” and had a different error:
“invalid image size for partition tz”
Third:
I download a new firmware (XT925_rcica-user-4.4.2-KDA20.117-3-4-release-keys-cid14-RCI-CA.xml”) and try the fastboot.
Got the following error:
“failed to hab check for boot 0x56 preflash validation failed for boot”
(same error using the RSD)
Fourth:
I try to use the motopocalypse but nothing happened…
Can anybody help me? I run out of option!
Thanks!!

Hi,
I appears to me that you may have flashed something not made for your specific model. Seeing as your model number is different now. Flashing anything not made for your specific model and device can often cause issues, some very serious ones.
Unfortunately I can't find any relevant threads on your device, so asking for help here would be best,

Hello, does someone have the flashable firmware via RSD lite for Droid Maxx, but developer edition ? I Wanna try to flash it on a Verizon one. I could find only Verizon firmwares for Droid ultra, mini or maxx...
Thanks !
Firmware is identical between verizon and Dev edition, as is the hardware. Only difference is ability to get unlock code from moto, and warranty staying in effect after you messed with the software.
Flash away, you have the right files. If you need help, search for posts from nwkent, he has some excellent guides.

Just to clarify, you have a Dev edition and are looking for the images?
If you are thinking you would flash firmware and convert a consumer edition to a "Dev edition" that way, sorry it doesn't work like that. You already have the equivalent of a Dev edition in your hand, the difference is on Moto's end.

No, I'm sure it wasn't your English.
Many people have tried to talk Verizon out of the unlock codes. Nobody has succeeded. It is simply not in Verizon's interest to let you use your phone the way you want to. They make the most money from you using your phone the way *they* want you to.
Sorry there isn't really a solution for you. Some 2014-model phones may still be unlockable by sending money to a mystery Chinese guy who appears to have stolen a hunk of Motorola's device database, but they no longer have codes for the 2013 versions. There is also a slim possibility that the Sunshine app (available elsewhere on xda) may be able to do it - download and install it, it's free to try and won't hurt anything if it can't unlock it.
Good luck!

tks fro your info. But i read that thread, sunhisne from jcase. I saw it take 25$/ 1 device to unlock? Not free.
Free to try and see if it will work. Not free to actually do the unlock. Sorry I wasn't clear.
It runs some tests, and only asks for payment if it is sure it will succeed.
$25 is chump change for the amount of work those guys put into opening the phone, and the number of handsets they kill in the process.

Firmware for Droid Razr Maxx
I also am having trouble with the download site. Does anyone have the firmware for the Droid Razr Maxx XT912?
Firmware downloads for Droid Ultra / Maxx
You can request firmware directly from Motorola. Here is a copy of the e-mail that they sent me along with the link to request the firmware download, it only takes about 24 hours for them to respond to the request.
This link will give you access to the software you requested. To re-lock an unlocked Motorola
device, you must first re-load the original Motorola device software image. Download the image we’ve shared with you here to a computer, and using the Android SDK, follow the instructions on this page to flash and re-lock your device:
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/recovery-images
Also, you can download the firmware from the "Rootjunky" website, they also have a lot of video's and instructions on how to root, flash, unbrick, etc.
http://www.rootjunky.com/motorola/motorola-droid-ultra/
And there is also this site where you can get firmware
http://motofirmware.center/files/do...2-su1-15-3-release-keys-cid2-verizon-usxmlzip
can someone upload these mbn files for a rooted maxx "sbl1", "sbl2", "sbl3", "aboot", "rpm", "tz","sbl2Backup","sbl3Backup","abootBackup","rpmB ackup","tzBackup","partitions","fsg","boot" with 4.2.2 would be much appreciated as I am trying to unbrick my awesome phone
Droid Maxx back to stock issues
Hi,
I have:
VZW_21.11.21.obake_verizon.Verizon.en.US.tgz
Which was provided by Motorola. As there isn't an XML file in the tarball I followed the instructions here:
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/recovery-images
But am running into issues. Currently the phone just sits on the Bootloader unlocked warning screen when trying to boot normally. I can get it into fastboot at will.
When flashing gpt, and motoboot I get the following errors:
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
prompts an error on the phone:
downgraded security version
update gpt_main version failed
preflash validation failed for GPT
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
prompts a similar error:
downgraded security version
update rpm version failed
System seems to flash ok although I do get:
fastboot flash system system.img
target reported max download size of 805306368 bytes
Invalid sparse file format at header magi
Sparse-Flash is enabled!
sending sparse 'system' (786335 KB)...

finished. total time: 132.224s
but it seems like it copied over fine.
Booting into recovery eventually gets me to a screen with the 'droid on its ass and a big ole exclamation point.
This phone has only ever run stock firmware, and OTAs. Was never rooted, never flashed like this. I'm at a bit of a loss. I've posted on the Moto Dev board but posting here as well hoping someone might take pity and help me out. I was looking to relock the bootloader before I gave the phone to my gf. Should have just left it alone .
I'm using a Mac, and using the fastboot binary included in the tarball. I have tried on windows using the supplied exe but the errors and end result are the same.
I am getting the same error now after i got if back from emergency download mode
Stock Firmware Droid Maxx
Does anyone have the stock firmware for a Motorola Droid MAXX for 4.4.4? All of the links I find are dead.

Not enough space
Ok, I got the firmware and everything was running fine until I got to the 'mfastboot flash system system.img' command. It gave me the error 'Cannot load 'system.img': Not enough space'
I am wondering what would be the safe way to continue from here...
had that issue on my device (dev edition). i had to ensure i was using the latest update file to flash it all
I am using the file from the referred post above. Is there a way to check if it is the most recent?
works to downgrade from 4.4.4 to 4.4 in xt1080?
Firmware link
Please update the firmware link because link provided with description is not responding it says i dont have the authority .
Phone was roooted and unlocked bootloader, i used HoM to flash back to stock, booted phone up, downloaded the newest software update [which was ~10mb], phone rebooted and with the android guy on his back, the update began to install. After the update was installed the phone just shut off and wont turn on or get into fastboot. Very very weird, and unsure of what to do since I cant even power the phone on....

[Completed] [Q] Error while flashing stock rom on my Moto x 2013

While I was in my Team Win recovery in the section Advanced wiping I deleted everything even the system. Now my Moto X 2013 bought in France doesn't turn on anymore, it just displays the warning page that informs me that my bootloader is unlocked, from there I can just go in the recovery. I tried to reflash the stock french room of Android 4.4 (that I have already flashed successfully a while ago) from AP Fastboot using RSD lite, but this time it didn't work, on my phone is displaying this error:
downgraded security version
update gpt_main version failed
preflash validation failed for GPT.
:crying:
I have searched on google if someone had this problem too and I have found that it is due to when you want to pass from a newer version of android to an older one for exale from 4.4 to 4.2 . I think this is true because before I wiped everything I had android lollipop 5.1 and now I am trying to install android 4.4 . If you agree with me and think that it is the problem could you please tell me where I can get the zip file of Android 5.1 (the file of the firmware) that I will have to install using AP Fastboot?
PS: Sorry for my bad English
Thank yo very much.:fingers-crossed:

[Completed] Bricked Motorola Moto G 2 Gen

Hi, a few months ago i unlocked bootloader and rooted my Android 4.4.4 Moto G (locked to Tesco UK) and that was fine but then i went to lock it all again so i could get the OTA update for Android Lollipop.
This is where the problems began... I thought i found the write files to do it but then i discovered after that it was an US version so it wouldn't work with Tesco.
Today i went to roll it back again to a UK version but it doesn't seem to work.
I have all the files I think but I am getting errors such as 'Mismatched partition size' and 'Image file is too big'. I'm not the best with these things so any help would be much appreciated. I currently have a bricked phone so the sooner the better please. :good:
"Hab check failed for boot"
"Hab check failed for recovery"

[Completed] Help with Motorola X fastboot loop.

Hello i'm literally new here and im feeling pretty desesperated due to my dad Moto X XT1058 which i tried to fix a wifi problem, long story short: I made the huge mistake of downgrading(Android 5.1 to Android 4.4.4) and then installing an OTA update after that everytime the phone boots up it will boot in fastboot
This is what it says in order in red:
Downgraded security version
Update gpt_main version failed
failed to hab check for gpt_backup: 0x35]
CID Read Failure
Invalid CID status 0x69
CustomerID status 0x69
CustomerID error. Contact Dealer: 0xdead
Fastboot Reason: Invalid CID
I tried RSDLite but it always gives error in step 2 and using while using command line (fastboot and mfastboot) it would give error saying "Access denied" Hope you guys can help me out and sorry for the bad english.
PC data:
OS: Windows 10 x64
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Graphic card: AMD Radeon R5 with 1gb of vram
Processor: Quad core AMD A8-6410 x4
Cheers!

Unfortunately the bluetooth and wifi not turning on could be bootloader related, have you tried asking in the moto x forums ? They have the device so may be more help
