I'm using a mac with Android File Transfer. This happened recently after my update to 4.4.2. I am rooted as well. I plug in the phone via usb and it starts charging but doesn't mount. I have USB Debugging on if that helps. Any ideas?
So at first, my problem was about the usb mass storage. whenever I plug my myphone a919 duo to my pc and turn usb mass storage on, the mass storage doesnt seem to come up at my computer.
usb debugging enabled, still not working. there are also times that the usb mass storage on my phone does not appear even if it was already connected and charging.
dont blame my usb cables, used 4 of them and it works on my other phones.
then I decided to just flash it with a Custom ROM and it might fix the problem seems didnt work either.
tried restoring to my original stock ROM then UNROOT it and it still doesnt work...
so i decided to just leave the problem first and just flash again with the custom ROM.. but now i cannot get back to clock work mod...
whenever I use mobile uncle tools then update to the recovery img, it restarts but it just factory resets my phone.
please help
My motog USB port is not working. Unable to charge mobile using any of the USB cables. Only with wall charger its charging. Tried all the ways.

Both, not able to charge and no transfer of data.
I have installed motog drivers in laptop, still its not recognised.
I recently rooted my s8+. Now when I connect it to my PC (or even my wife's PC), I get the following on my phone, "Attention: the connected device is unable to access data on this device. Please disconnect the USB cable and try again". I'm using the USB cable that came with my phone and the issue is happeing on 2 different PC's. I have USB debugging checked and set to MTP.
in settings, Switch on Developers options in configuratien. Then there is a USB modus setting. Set it to Charging rather then MTP Transfer.
try another USB cable and update the drivers in device manager.

Ok, I've tried your suggestions but the problem still persists. What's worse, I unrooted the phone and did a factory reset and it STILL is unable to access the data on the device.
Hello,
I accidentally deleted some pictures on my phone (samsung galaxy core) over the weekend and I am trying to root my phone to recover them. I have tried connecting my computer to my phone with a USB cable, but my computer does not seem to recognise my phone when USB debugging is enabled. When I have USB debugging disabled, my computer recognises my phone without any problems. My phone uses android 5.1.1 and my computer uses windows 8. Is the problem with my phone or my computer? Thanks.
