With my usb data. It was connected succefully before. So i am clue less
Are you trying to connect to transfer files, sync outlook or issue ADB or APX commands?
Does your computer play the new hardware sound?
What OS is your computer running?
Do you have USB Debugging checked?
Have you tried another USB port on your computer?
Also, many of the JB ROMs show a charging indicator via USB even if it is not really charging.

I did use other and it didnt work.
I will test on other pc's.
Are you sure you are getting it booted up into APX mode? I know it is a bit tricky to do.

Has anybody else connected via a USB OTG cable to a USB drive? I get stuck in bootloops both when running normally and in recovery mode. I thought this might be a better way to backup my storage since connecting via a USB cable to a computer takes a very long time.
Edit: Working now, seems that the S6 does not like the Stickmount app but supports OTG without an extra app.
Thanks
Hello, I have a galaxy S6 where after restarting the factory settings stopped working the USB and Wifi. When I try to update the software via OTA I get the message "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available".
I have already tried to connect it via USB in recovery mode and even then the device is not recognized on any computer. I also tried a new reset with wipe cache and wipe data but it does not resolve. Do you know any alternatives?
Note: The USB port normally charges and if I connect a pen drive via OTG I can copy data.
Install TWRP by USB from PC, and MTP in TWRP should work.

The problem is that USB is not recognized on the PC. The device only appears as charging.

Then you have broken USB port in phone or in cable.
Try another USB cable, if it's not working u have broken it in phone and there is nothing you can do about it expect a repair.

The strange thing is: If I connect a pendrive in the device with the OTG cable I can see and copy files from the pendrive.
I recently rooted my s8+. Now when I connect it to my PC (or even my wife's PC), I get the following on my phone, "Attention: the connected device is unable to access data on this device. Please disconnect the USB cable and try again". I'm using the USB cable that came with my phone and the issue is happeing on 2 different PC's. I have USB debugging checked and set to MTP.
in settings, Switch on Developers options in configuratien. Then there is a USB modus setting. Set it to Charging rather then MTP Transfer.
try another USB cable and update the drivers in device manager.

Ok, I've tried your suggestions but the problem still persists. What's worse, I unrooted the phone and did a factory reset and it STILL is unable to access the data on the device.
Hey everyone, all of a sudden my PC no longer detects my phone? It use to detect it with usb debugging with no problems but out of no where just doesn't detect it anymore? It just charges it with no debugging options?

Have you found a fix for this yet?
I heard try using a USB 2.0 port and original cable.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try. So wired though that it would just change randomly like that.
