:good: you may know that when u flashed a new firmware mean you'll flash a new bootloader with protect boot you'll MOD EDIT when you flash something wrong with that bootloader you're phone will completely dead my experience of my two device xperia Z1 and Samsung Grand 2 :cyclops: there only one way to unbrick it is to go to phone repair service change motherboard (because we cannot write any programme on it anymore)
Now if you flash LL you want to Downgrade KK
DO NOT CHECK AUTO REBOOT IN ODIN PROCESS !!
Download this clear warranty bootloader :
http://www.mediafire.com/download/d0fw56n3ucj66oh/BL_HA3GZS_CLEAR_WARRANTY_BIT-4.tar
if you flash it success but not see any change of bootloader logs you have to flash it again it'll work
LL bootloader be like :
PRODUCT NAME : SM-N900
CURRENT BINRAY : CUSTOM
SYSTEM STATUS : Custom
REACTIVATION LOCK(KK) : OFF
Secure Download : Enable
KNOX WARRANTY VOID : x
AP SWREV :A4
IF YOU SEE CHANGE OF BOOTLOADER LOGS YOU CAN FLASH KK Firmware without any risk and you're device will reset knox to 0 auto unless you're root or install custom recovery

Note 3 sm-n9005
Hi. I installed the leak android 5.0 onto my note 3. I let it on about 85% charge and when i woke up only 60% chargin was left. Now this is not usual as on my kitkat it only use to drain about 3 to 4% in whole night.
I tried to revert back to 4.4.2 but offcourse it gets stuck on the samsung screen and then restarts over and over. Just wanted to know if there is a safe way to get back to 4.4.2 on the sm-n9005 without tripping the knox?
Btw i am now back to android 5.0 so currently running fine.
Just curious to know the way to get back to 4.4.2.
any advise would be greatly appreciated.
aqi1992, you'll need to do a factory reset and a partition wipe from the recovery menu (power off, hold volume UP+home+power buttons to enter). After that it'll boot fine but you'll have to reinstall everything.
Hi. So basically i will need to do the above before flashing the stock 4.4.2?
That means once i have wipes the cache and factory data reset it then after i dont let it restart and straight away flash it with 4.4 2 stock?

No, I was stuck where you are now. I had flashed 4.4.2 successfuly but it wouldn't boot. So I did what I mentioned in my previous post (AFTER flashing) rebooted, and everthing was fine.
Ok. I get it. I did try factory data reset but didnt do partition wipe. I will try that and feed back on it.
One last question, will i be able to get ota if i put stock 4.4.2 when android l comes out?
My knox is not tripped yet.

Well thank you. I will give android 5 a couple of more days and if it still drains battery then i might revert back.

As per my experience (read about it here), at least I'm downgrading.
I have to say that i have tried android 5 on my oneplus. I have had note 4 which i recently sold and currently using the note 3 with android 5.
The thing is i wont call kitkat a joke or neither i think the colors here are bad looking. I think the samsung implementation is much better than plain android. But again hey thats just me.

Hey i have just tried above and it doesn't work.
The phone goes to either samsung logo or sometimes even before that it's just in bootloop. It went to the upgrading android only once when it was stuck on 72 out of something and i had to restart it but after that it never worked.
Also when i flashed android 5 i also flashed the .pit file that came with that. and also the bootloader file so it might be the bootloader file that is initiating this problem.
first attempt at this seemed to be going ok. after flashing with odin i tried to restart manually (think i pulled battery cause i couldnt reboot via PB).
immediatley went to recovery mode to flash new rom. didnt wipe nothing but flashed ketan k12 rom, and got stuck at samsung logo. went to reboot and got weird red screen (of death) i thought but continued on into download mode, where i saw the change you mention. Anyways cause of the many reboots i did to see if the dam thing was stuck i reverted trying to flash kit kat via odin (didnt work). went back to download mode after more failed attempts to boot correctly, i decided to flash lollipop back onto my phone via odin. still didnt reset factory in recovery, and now im back to square one lol.
so my guess is that i messed up cause i didnt factory reset for a new rom, but answer me this please... is it normal to have that red screen cause i didnt restart download mode correctly. you did mention not to have it check, so how am do i restart correctly? thankyou in adavnced (unless i figure it out before your reply LOL).

Now I just want to know that can I flash any other KK rom through CWM with this above said bootloader safely, as I did earlier when I had KK bootloader installed ?

Recently my Nexus s started bootlooping.
First it was happening if the phone was powered off due to finished battery, now it happens every time i power it off.
What happens is, it bootloop on the google logo. In order to over come that i pull the battery out and turn it back on. After a few time (3-10) it would start up normally and not bootlooping.
I run stock 4.0.3, not rooted.
Anyone has a clue ?

my only suggestion is maybe a factory reset, you might have some corrupted files somewhere. but, my fear/concern is that your internal sd storage card might be going.

Okay, so i did factory reset and i'm still stuck on the bootloop. Need to remove the battery and turn back on until it doesn't bootloop.
Actually what happens is the google logo appear, then for a moment it turned off and comes back again.
simms22, why do you think it's internal sd damage ?
TheMatrix246, what's ODIN ?
Guys, you think if i root and switch ROM it could be fixed ?
I would appreciate some help here a bit lost.
One last thing before you contact Samsung:
Download Nexus S [i9020T/i9023] 4.0.3 Full ROM and copy to sdcard as update.zip
Go into bootloader
Recovery
Data/factory reset
Install update.zip (reflash all files of ICS)
Reboot and hope it works out fine
If this doesn't work for you i highly doubt rooting and changing ROMs will. This will reinstall the entire OS (format and install /system), bootloader, radio, kernel and recovery.
Do i need to be root user in order to do that ?
And just to make sure, this Full ROM is for i9020T ? correct ?
(mine says only GT-i9020 on the back, bought in Carphone Warehouse in England).
Yes, i9020T. If you get 3G with Orange, and you have the SAMOLED screen, you have the i9020T (and to my knowledge, 9020 on the back signifies i9020T).
Also, i don't believe you need to be root to do that. I'm pretty sure you can flash the same version ROM from stock recovery as long as it is signed, just not older versions.
First, thanks guys for the help.
After first doing the factory reset, it seemed the bootloop happens less often. At first i tought it was solved but then it rarely (1 to 5 reboots) yet happened.
Today i installed the Full ROM Harbb suggested and so far i have no reboot issues.
But i after the installation i saw OS wasn't reset. Does it suppose to (not) happen ?

You're welcome. Also, all that file does is replace everything in the /system partition (OS). All apps besides the defaults that come from the factory are not in that partition so are not affected. Hopefully your problem is fixed permanently
But it's generally recommended to do a full wipe when switching ROMs. It could be that you encounter other problems because of the ROM change without wipe. But you could also be lucky to have no problems. Just to remind you, when you encounter something wierd.
Problem is still there ....
Hi guys,
First thanks for all the help, but the problem still there.
I did the upgrade using the Full ROM as Harbb suggested. For the first 10-12 times i rebooted (i rebooted again and again) it was alright, booting successfully ... but then it stated occasionally to bootloop and now it does it almost everytime. usually takes up to 10 times i remove the battery and start the phone so it will start up and not bootloop.
Also, I'm sorry the taking so long to respond, the nature of the problem compelling me to test it for a few days so i will know if it works or not.
Should i root the device ?
If so , how do i replace / rewrite the boot program ?
I would much appreciate any suggestion.
I had a similar problem, bootlooping, stuck on Google logo when running 4.0.3 in the end I took it back to carphone warehouse who repaired it and now it's ok. I found that heating it with a hair-dryer made it stop bootlooping (but that's what worked for me). However the repair seems to have fixed any issues and its all OK now.

My problem is i bought the device also in carphone warehouse in the UK, but i live in Israel. Meaning i will have to send it to them by air-mail.
By any chance they mentioned what was the problem ?
also did they give you a refurbished device or a new one ?

Hey, thanks for the replay.
What does is mean to flash it ?
How do i do that ?
You noted it was returned unrooted, was it rooted before ?
Again thank you all for the help.
To be honest I'm a novice to these terms but know that they unlocked it(it was not unlocked when sent off) and reinstalled os 2.3.3 after a complete wipe. Details of how to unlock and flash (install a different os) are on the forums. If you follow the forum advice precisely the instructions work. I am now running a CyberGR rom of ics 4.0.3 that runs smoother than stock ics . Again found on these forums. Hope this helps.

I rooted my Galaxy Note 10.1 about a year ago. I want to bring it back to original unrooted factory settings. I assume that I need to remove the following apps:
SuperSu
SuperUser
Titanium Backup
Triangle Away
I ran the triangle away program and now when I hold down the power and volume down buttons until I get to an Odin screen, it appears that I have no counter problems, it all shows "official", which I guess is good.
I am not sure what steps I need to take next. Should I be uninstalling the above software in any particular order? After that, how do I go about getting the original stock software reloaded again? There is nothing critical on the device that I am worried about from a backup point of view and I know that I can have all of my apps recovered from Google Play.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Run TA flash stock rom via Odin and factory reset is the basics .
Check custom in download mode and in settings about device Status .
What do you mean by "TA", Titanium Backup? In any event, It appears that I was successful in removing SuperSu and all of the other root related apps and I was able to get back to the stock rom. I would, however, like to understand your approach for future reference in case I decide to root again and then need another return path back to stock.
Thanks

Please help me.
Thanks all.
So the power button on my phone is working intermittently and I took it to Bestbuy for them to replace it with my insurance. The dude there wanted to wipe and do a factory reset on my phone, because it was part of the procedure they had to do. (Why they do this, I have no idea,) This had never happened to me before, so I didn't backup my phone and flash back to stock like I usually do if I have to get a phone serviced. I told him I would back it up at home, and be back another day.
So basically what I need is a ROM for the Galaxy S3 that is as close to stock as possible so this dude can reset my phone (for no reason)? This ROM needs to be able to stand up to a little scrutiny from a Geeksquad employee.I would just flash back to stock 4.3, but that will lock my bootloader. I need a stock 4.3 ROM that doesn't lock bootloader, and will reset the "Verizon way".
Just odining to stock won't lock your bootloader. You'd have to actually download and install the update. But if you're getting a replacement why do you care? You're not going to have the phone any longer anyway. But just as an FYI, if you do replace your phone, chances are you'll get one with the updated firmware and a locked bootloader.
Good luck.

I don't think I will get an update phone, as I had a cracked screen in mid January and received a phone on 4.1.2
I'm having of a hell time getting into download mode as well. For some reason after I go to download mode, the screen goes away after a few seconds.
To do a factory reset the "Verizon way" you need a stock recovery. If you really want to, load cleanrom 8, then use ez-recovery to flash the stock recovery to the phone. But if you have to turn it in to get a new phone you might have to Odin back to stock anyway, and could get in trouble having a custom rom loaded.
They can do a factory reset through the stock recovery and probably won't notice you're custom, and you won't have to worry about it updating to 4.3.

Don't get a new s3. Most likely it'll come preloaded with 4.3 and you'll be stuck on TW ROMs only.
Watch, as I combine all the juice from my mind...
If vzw store has some of the older s3 it wnt come preloaded but will load wen u set up. So u might be lucky and get a 4.1 or 4.2 s3

Alright, I'm at my wit's end and I've searched the web far and wide. Tonight I thought I'd root, recover and MOD my S5 (have done so before with the S3 and Epic many times).
Ran into a series of problems, but here is where I'm at presently:
I got Philz touch recovery working fine. I used it to install [MOAR][NE5] v2.2 / The Next Level / Wicked Sick / Endless Customization which noted a couple errors (didn't say which) but overall seemed to call the installation a success.
Then I go to restart and I get the Samsung S5 splash, followed by dark screen and reset vibration, the following message:
(blue) RECOVERY BOOTING
(red) RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
(yellow) SET WARRANTY BIT: recovery
which then kicks me back to Philz touch.
Any idea what I can do? I'm glad I can at least get to recovery (and download mode). Hopefully at worst putting stock on the SD and installing that from Philz would solve the problem... but I'm a little pessimistic since the ROM I just installed doesn't seem to work. Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it.

Yeah, no luck there either (can get into TWRP and flash the ROM but same boot problem). Got a bad feeling I'm bricked, but will try to flash stock through Odin :-/ Thanks
If you can get into recovery or download mode you are not bricked. Odin is your best bet.
What firmware was your phone running? It is possible you don't have the correct firmware installed for the ROM. You could also try reflashing the ROM. Don't worry about the warning you are getting, that shows up because your recovery is not stock.

OK, my S6 (verizon) locked up today and immediately went into bootloop. I've tried wiping cache, i've tried wiping system/data, i've tried factory reset. It'll either lock up doing that, or it will complete and then go right back into the boot loop.
I tried using ODIN to flash the stock rom but i get the error: SW REV CHECK FAIL Device: 4 Binary:1
If I boot into recovery, it always starts at "Installing system update" (this was before I tried to update the stock rom or anything) and sometimes it will lock up doing that, sometimes i'll get into recovery, but as I've said so far nothing has gotten my phone into a useable state.
I tried KIES 3, but it just complains that my device is not supported.
Any suggestions will be hugely appreciated, this phone is only a year old and I really can't afford to replace it out of pocket.
Thanks!!

Thank you for replies. Smart switch is telling me my SN is invalid, it is the IMEI number from the phone, and I've confirmed there were no typoes. I did finally get ODIN to work with a newer firmware, but after updating the phone just returns to a bootloop. I'm thinking its a hardware issue at this point.

Yes, it accepted the model number and yes it was correct.
hi, did you try downloading the official 6.0.1 firmware the n flash it using odin. try flashing BL and AP, the bootloop cause might be because of your bootloader, imho
I had already tried flashing AP. After reading your suggestions i tried flashing BL as well. Now it gets to the red Verizon screen (which is new, it was bootlooping before it got there) but it just hangs there now. The "pluse" in the Verizon V logo keeps going, so its not completely locked up, but it never actually boots.
At this point I think i need to just replace it but I'll still accept any suggestions on things to try if anyone has any thoughts!
I appreciate all the help already provided.
im sorry to hear that mattbooty, lets not loose hope, how about downloading an old 5.1.1 bootloader and 5.1.1 official firmware for your phone variant. make sure that the bootloader goes to BL and the firmware goes to AP. , btw BL and AP should be both checked in odin before starting to flash the phone. Im sure this has something to do with bootloader img
OK, so after the last post, i did another factory reset from within the recovery options (this is after odin flashing BL and AP) and this time it got past the Verizon screen and to the new android setup screen!
I'm working on setting it up now and fingers crossed it doesn't lock up and go back into boot loop. I will update.
nice to know that my post was helpful mattbooty, btw did you downgrade to 5.1.1 just like what i've told you?

I didn't, that was using the 6.0.1 firmware. I had tried that firmware originally but was given an error "SW REV CHECK FAIL".
Prior to the phone bootlooping originally I had noticed it started locking up every now and then. Since getting it working again (for an hour or so) it has already locked up once, but it did boot right back up this time. Fingers crossed that doesn't mean its going to start bootlooping again soon.
thanks again for all the assistance.
