[Completed] Upgraded System but boot loop. - XDA Assist

Hey guys. so basically lenovo S820 has this Upgrade System button at the Home/Menu. SO i clicked on it and yeah it upgraded. the volume, the notification, the display battery on top of the bar looks very fine. it worked well for a couple of hours but then, my Home/Menu wont show up. So, meaning that I cant open any app and it's really frustrating so i just decided to turn the power off and took my battery out. okay. and then , the opening showed up but it got stuck when it showed "Lenovo. Powered by Android" and it happened again and again again and again.
So like i really dont know what to do. Should i send it to the phone services and all- and im not really good at whatever android or pc things. OTL
Please help me. And it'll be much better if theres a video because i really dont understand any of the answers that had the same problem SORRY : (

Hey!
As you said that you are not good with android or PC things, i would recommend you to take it to service center.
The problem might be small, but as you don't know much about playing around with android, you might end up messing up with your phone.
Cheers!

[Q] Galaxy S 4G Acting UP! Please Help, Thanks!

Hello ALL!
I’m new to this forum as its a kick a$$ place to read and learn new thing to do your phone from what I read.
Now to what I’m here for is to see if anyone else is having the same issues that I’m having or if it’s just my phone and should go exchange it.
My phone will go to a blank black screen and but the touch buttons are lit up, also yesterday night it would start to vibrate like crazy with no incoming calls or emails, or text massages. And today I ran into the issue that it when blank and when I press the power buttons nothing happen so i turn it off and then turn it back on but it said no SD card was in (of courses not in those words, but by going into the settings under the SD tap that’s where I saw that info.)
Now as of right now I’m not in “Panic Mode” cause I’m thinking it could be a software issue that could be fix (I hope soon, like next week). An cause I’ve read things on the net where the Samsung Nexus S is having similar issues and to me that’s like this phone relative minus the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread, which I hope we get soon also.)

Thanks troby1986 for the advice, any ideas on what to tell them without them giving me the dreaded answer of “Call the manufacture.” I was going up to the store tomorrow after work and just ask for a exchange and telling them what going on whit the phone since I got it on the 23rd of Feb.
I'd say give your phone a factory reset first, go to Settings -> Privacy -> and tap Factory data reset. You'll lose everything of course, so ensure you have everything you need backed up, and it should work. If it gets wonky again, definitely return. You have time left on your return window. =)
Thanks for the advice princedwi , I’ll definitely try this I didn’t even think of this. And I hope it works.
The phone sounds like it is possessed. I would take it back.
I had mine go to a black screen the other night, and i couldn't turn it on, or off. I had to do a battery pull in order to get things working again.
Blank screen happened to me once and did the battery pull but ever since its been no problem.

So on Saturday after work I took the phone back and did a exchange and got a new Galaxy S 4G. This one so far in about 24 hours has not given me issues. Only issue now is that I’m not getting more than 4MB of download or upload. IDK why I mean I resided in Dallas TX were we have HSPA+ but still can get those crazy good speeds that I see of 10+ MB… But is should cry about that in a different topic…
Also I forgot to mention I did the factory reset on the 1st one I got on releases day and it would work well for 30mins but then continue acting up. And also I also had to pull the battery once cause it when blank on me also.
to fix all lags and constant reboots.. use this rom ..it superfast and Awesome

Battery went down right in the middle of Android OS update

Hello guys, I recently bought Sony Xperia L and I was really happy with the product. But, few days ago, I wanted to update the OS and in the middle of the updating process - the batter went down! Now, my phone is dead. Some LEDs are still lighting so in fact I have a black screen but with lights (it's turned on), but all I see is the black screen. I can't even turn it off with the side button. I tried with volume down + Turn on, but nothing happens.
What can I do to solve this problem? Please help me, I really need the phone soon!
Did you try flashing a FTF ? It looks like it's softbrick which is easy to fix.

Nope, in fact, I am really new with the smartphones, I don't know how to do anything. I have xUbuntu OS on my PC though, is this gonna be a problem? All I found so far is for windows....any suggestions?

It's for linux too. It's not a hard thing to do. You will find a lot of tutorial's in google.

[Q] Crazy Boot Loop *help*

This morning my Nexus 5 decided to die. It's stuck in a boot loop. I've never rooted, or done anything crazy to my phone. Haven't even downloaded an app in a few days, maybe a week or more. I am running stock 4.4.2.
My morning started just right. My alarm on my phone went off letting me know it was time to go to work. Then after I got ready, I picked up my phone and checked emails, facebook, instagram, you know.. normal things I do every day. I put it in my pocket and proceeded to get into my vehicle to drive to work. I then checked the time. All of the sudden after I press the power button to see, it turned off. I then went to turn it back on by holding the button. It showed "Google" then turned off. That's when I knew I was in trouble. It then began... The boot loop of death. This thing sometimes gets to the four Google colors, then shuts off..but this is rare. I can't even do the whole volume down + power deal. I can.. but I can't make a selection because the phone restarts.
WHAT AM I EVER TO DO.
I tried the hard reset with the two buttons, obviously as I stated above, that doesn't work. I tried downloading this to see, but turns out you need to access the bootloader. I cannot do this either.
My question is, do I send it in for warranty work, or is there some magical way to fix this?
Well,
Even if there was a way to repair, I would not keep a phone that had this kind of problem. I think, you should call Google and ask them for a RMA.
While they send you the new Nexus 5, you can try to repair the old one (if anybody is able to provide you a "fix"). If you're able to repair it : great, backup your data and use the new phone (and send the old one to google, like you would do for a RMA).
The power button has record of getting stuck on its contacts. Some have fixed it by hitting the phone against a table. Obviously not recommended
and as it's an internal hardware fault, Google will replace it. .
Might be a stupid question, but are you sure it has battery? Maybe plug it in for an hour and try again.

This actually makes so much sense. I know sometimes when locking or unlocking, the screen would flash. So this, I believe may be the problem. I didn't even think about that.

Google is usually pretty good with their RMA process, except they make you pay up front. But looks like I'll have to do what I gotta do.
Thanks everyone!

[Q] Phone keeps rebooting

Hello, today my phone keeps rebooting for no reason. It just reboots immediately after the Google logo shows up or during the flying balls animation. Once in a while it will be able to start, but then back to reboot loop very soon. I can't even use the "Volume down + Power" screen (sorry I forgot what it's called) because the phone will restart immediately.
I didn't install any new app today. My phone is unrooted and is on Lollipop 5.0.1. Bought it used last week after I hardbricked my Moto G.
Please tell me this is fixable. My Moto G is still lying in front of me. The Nexus better not join its brother.
I got the same problem here, all of a sudden it turned off and began this incredibly fast boot loop, I can't enter recovery mode because the fastboot screen goes off as soon as it appears. I'll try to figure something out and come back here. Thanks
I recently installed Lollipop 5.0.1 so it might be something with it too
Thanks. Please tell me as soon as you find the problem. I hope it's just a software (particularly Lollipop) problem and is fixable. It's incredibly frustrating to see 2 phones go down in a 2-week span. **** my life.
ok, so my phone turned on and I actually was able to use it for a while, until I slightly touched the power button (but didn't actually click or even apply force on it) and then the problem occured. So it's either that the power button became overly sensitive or a sensor malfunctioned (I'm a noob so forgive me if I sounded silly).

So, I was looking for answers and figured out it was a hardware problem, the internal power button was stuck. I saw some tutorials on how to disassembly the phone and managed to loose the button up a bit and now it's working fine. Sending it from the phone right now hahah
PS. I'm not a phone master or something, I saw the tutorial and got the motherboard out to fix the button, the worst part was unscrewing those tiny little screws, but it was kinda easy at the end.

That's good news. I don't have the tools to open the phone so I'll have to go to the repair shop next week. Please inform me if the problem somehow returns to you.
P.S: I'm actually gaming on it right now without problem, just gotta be careful not to touch the power button

Brand new One Plus 6 Stuck in OnePlus Logo

So I just got my One Plus 6 today and was setting it up installing my favorite apps so I decided to see the community app while apps were downloading and my phone crashed and turned off.
It tried to boot again but it got stuck on the one plus logo right after the "Powered by android" message is gone.
I just can't believe this just happened to me in a brand new, out of the box phone.
Please help!

You'll need to do another factory reset. I think if you hold volume down and power key it takes you to the default OnePlus recovery and there's an option to format inside you. Other users please correct me if I'm wrong.
As for the crashing. Was it due to low battery or it just randomly crashed? Sounds very odd, I think you're one of the few who had this happen.

I know, I have never experienced something like this, nor have I heard about an issue similar. I can't even get to the recovery screen, it goes straight to a black screen, but I can feel it vibrates when I touch somewhere in the black screen. So pretty much my new phone is dead.
It had about 90 percent of battery and it crashed when I was surfing through the community app. Weird af.

To be honest. I would just warranty it. No point wasting the time trying to recover it to only have an unstable phone.
Had a similar issue with my old Sony z3, motherboard was toast.. Got it replaced right away, phone counted as "dead on arrival"

Yes, I have contacted one plus and seems like that's the only way to solve this. Though they keep transferring my case and all of them want me to go into recovery mode, which I can't do.
