Battery went down right in the middle of Android OS update - Sony Xperia L

Hello guys, I recently bought Sony Xperia L and I was really happy with the product. But, few days ago, I wanted to update the OS and in the middle of the updating process - the batter went down! Now, my phone is dead. Some LEDs are still lighting so in fact I have a black screen but with lights (it's turned on), but all I see is the black screen. I can't even turn it off with the side button. I tried with volume down + Turn on, but nothing happens.
What can I do to solve this problem? Please help me, I really need the phone soon!

Did you try flashing a FTF ? It looks like it's softbrick which is easy to fix.

Nope, in fact, I am really new with the smartphones, I don't know how to do anything. I have xUbuntu OS on my PC though, is this gonna be a problem? All I found so far is for windows....any suggestions?

It's for linux too. It's not a hard thing to do. You will find a lot of tutorial's in google.

[Q] Phone keeps rebooting

Hello, today my phone keeps rebooting for no reason. It just reboots immediately after the Google logo shows up or during the flying balls animation. Once in a while it will be able to start, but then back to reboot loop very soon. I can't even use the "Volume down + Power" screen (sorry I forgot what it's called) because the phone will restart immediately.
I didn't install any new app today. My phone is unrooted and is on Lollipop 5.0.1. Bought it used last week after I hardbricked my Moto G.
Please tell me this is fixable. My Moto G is still lying in front of me. The Nexus better not join its brother.
I got the same problem here, all of a sudden it turned off and began this incredibly fast boot loop, I can't enter recovery mode because the fastboot screen goes off as soon as it appears. I'll try to figure something out and come back here. Thanks
I recently installed Lollipop 5.0.1 so it might be something with it too
Thanks. Please tell me as soon as you find the problem. I hope it's just a software (particularly Lollipop) problem and is fixable. It's incredibly frustrating to see 2 phones go down in a 2-week span. **** my life.
ok, so my phone turned on and I actually was able to use it for a while, until I slightly touched the power button (but didn't actually click or even apply force on it) and then the problem occured. So it's either that the power button became overly sensitive or a sensor malfunctioned (I'm a noob so forgive me if I sounded silly).

So, I was looking for answers and figured out it was a hardware problem, the internal power button was stuck. I saw some tutorials on how to disassembly the phone and managed to loose the button up a bit and now it's working fine. Sending it from the phone right now hahah
PS. I'm not a phone master or something, I saw the tutorial and got the motherboard out to fix the button, the worst part was unscrewing those tiny little screws, but it was kinda easy at the end.

That's good news. I don't have the tools to open the phone so I'll have to go to the repair shop next week. Please inform me if the problem somehow returns to you.
P.S: I'm actually gaming on it right now without problem, just gotta be careful not to touch the power button

[Completed] Upgraded System but boot loop.

Hey guys. so basically lenovo S820 has this Upgrade System button at the Home/Menu. SO i clicked on it and yeah it upgraded. the volume, the notification, the display battery on top of the bar looks very fine. it worked well for a couple of hours but then, my Home/Menu wont show up. So, meaning that I cant open any app and it's really frustrating so i just decided to turn the power off and took my battery out. okay. and then , the opening showed up but it got stuck when it showed "Lenovo. Powered by Android" and it happened again and again again and again.
So like i really dont know what to do. Should i send it to the phone services and all- and im not really good at whatever android or pc things. OTL
Please help me. And it'll be much better if theres a video because i really dont understand any of the answers that had the same problem SORRY : (

Hey!
As you said that you are not good with android or PC things, i would recommend you to take it to service center.
The problem might be small, but as you don't know much about playing around with android, you might end up messing up with your phone.
Cheers!

Black screen with no response

Hello everyone,
i got a strange "bug", i don't use my phone 3 hours and when i press the power button nothing appends... I plug it in the charger and the charging led don't switch on... To restart the phone i have to plug it in and press the volume down and power button for a while.
When the phone woke up my battery have drop from 70% to 20%.
Did someone got the same bug ? Or it's a material faillure ? (my firmware are .185)
I kind of have the same (similar) issue on CM 13.0., i have submitted it as a bug and so did two more people. The Z5 CM Devs are trying to figure it out so i reckon you might be able to find what you need there. You might not find it straight away because there is no solution yet, but soon.

Right, it's seem to be the same issue on CM13. Realy strange because it is not base on sony firmware.

S6 Freeze/bootloop out of the blue

So had this phone for a while now and no problems, been running nougat for the past few months, this morning took my phone off charge and placed in pocket. A bit later I checked my phone, it was not responsive a black screen, did a hard reset does the samsung logo then gets stuck either flashing blue or pink. So leave it until I get home, flash latest nougat with odin installs fine, reboots and does same thing freezes at boot samsung flashing blue. Flash it again and now its froze after its said erasing...
I think something has failed hardware wise, any others had this issue?.

Just install "CPU awake" from play store, this will help you keep the device working, this problem is very common in each & every Samsung flagship, starts after 2 year use(won't ever buy a Samsung flagship again), no fix for it, if you don't believe me, check Evey flagship forum q/a section.

That app is useless, in that case completly useless. That app just won't allow CPU's get to deep sleep. But in him case that looks like just next S6 who get hardware broken from unknown reasons

Really? I have a note 4 , exactly same problem, that app gave it new life & not just mine, many note 4 users are using it who are facing the same problem, so, next time instead of just posting nonsense, do some research.

He even cannot turn on the phone, maximum what he can see is SAMSUNG logo so what the **** you are talking about turning on some app on working system?

That's a nand problem, if the device is cooled (I hold mine in front of AC for 5min.), that will help it to turn on & once it's on, install the app & it will work fine but it shouldn't be allowed to shutdown or it has to be cooled down again, it's not a new problem, thousands of Samsung mobiles which ship with faulty nand face the exact same problem, I know it sounds silly, it is what it is & it works(for thousands users)

Never before heard bullshits like that. Can you give some link to any information which will confirm that what you told so that a CPU Awake app will fix broken Samsung device? Please about it.
P.S.
I could'nt find anything about it

Enough with your bull****, here, take a look...

Read it, on almost every page someone recommended using cpuwake, it's not my problem that you are such a fool who instead of trying to help someone with some advice, would just bash other people who have faced similar issues & maybe know the solution. You can go **** yourself for all I care.
Rishi is correct about cpu awake on the Note 4. It is commonly viewed as a means of extending the life of the Note 4 but eventually the phone will fail.

Starting problem

Hello, after screen replacement, mother board flex replacement, when I start the phone I have nothing on the screen running only a red and green light on the top of the phone. I have disconnected the battery and load again but still the same. I tried power and volume down or up but still the same problem. I try with other screen but the problem is still there. Some people can help me in the diag and solution to resove ?
Many thanks for your help
I maybe have the same problem on my BKL-L09, my phone just show the screen a split second and then it is black screen all the time. I started having these problems after I installed the latest magisk (The old v.17). And also, I can get to TWRP anymore, both official and unofficial TWRP. I'm guessing it's the internal partition problem (funkyhuawei's unbrick service shows all the partitions). I guess we just gonna have to wait for the Honor View 10 SP Flash Tool or something... (BTW, I already know the tool : https://forum.xda-developers.com/ho...ol-tool-one-driversunlocktwrpfactory-t3776736 but, it is not supported yet.) I hope someone does it fast and for free if possible, because we're community and if someone is having the same problem, we can easily help them. And that is what community does.
