Starting problem - Honor View 10 Questions & Answers

Hello, after screen replacement, mother board flex replacement, when I start the phone I have nothing on the screen running only a red and green light on the top of the phone. I have disconnected the battery and load again but still the same. I tried power and volume down or up but still the same problem. I try with other screen but the problem is still there. Some people can help me in the diag and solution to resove ?
Many thanks for your help

I maybe have the same problem on my BKL-L09, my phone just show the screen a split second and then it is black screen all the time. I started having these problems after I installed the latest magisk (The old v.17). And also, I can get to TWRP anymore, both official and unofficial TWRP. I'm guessing it's the internal partition problem (funkyhuawei's unbrick service shows all the partitions). I guess we just gonna have to wait for the Honor View 10 SP Flash Tool or something... (BTW, I already know the tool : https://forum.xda-developers.com/ho...ol-tool-one-driversunlocktwrpfactory-t3776736 but, it is not supported yet.) I hope someone does it fast and for free if possible, because we're community and if someone is having the same problem, we can easily help them. And that is what community does.

[Q] Phone keeps rebooting

Hello, today my phone keeps rebooting for no reason. It just reboots immediately after the Google logo shows up or during the flying balls animation. Once in a while it will be able to start, but then back to reboot loop very soon. I can't even use the "Volume down + Power" screen (sorry I forgot what it's called) because the phone will restart immediately.
I didn't install any new app today. My phone is unrooted and is on Lollipop 5.0.1. Bought it used last week after I hardbricked my Moto G.
Please tell me this is fixable. My Moto G is still lying in front of me. The Nexus better not join its brother.
I got the same problem here, all of a sudden it turned off and began this incredibly fast boot loop, I can't enter recovery mode because the fastboot screen goes off as soon as it appears. I'll try to figure something out and come back here. Thanks
I recently installed Lollipop 5.0.1 so it might be something with it too
Thanks. Please tell me as soon as you find the problem. I hope it's just a software (particularly Lollipop) problem and is fixable. It's incredibly frustrating to see 2 phones go down in a 2-week span. **** my life.
ok, so my phone turned on and I actually was able to use it for a while, until I slightly touched the power button (but didn't actually click or even apply force on it) and then the problem occured. So it's either that the power button became overly sensitive or a sensor malfunctioned (I'm a noob so forgive me if I sounded silly).

So, I was looking for answers and figured out it was a hardware problem, the internal power button was stuck. I saw some tutorials on how to disassembly the phone and managed to loose the button up a bit and now it's working fine. Sending it from the phone right now hahah
PS. I'm not a phone master or something, I saw the tutorial and got the motherboard out to fix the button, the worst part was unscrewing those tiny little screws, but it was kinda easy at the end.

That's good news. I don't have the tools to open the phone so I'll have to go to the repair shop next week. Please inform me if the problem somehow returns to you.
P.S: I'm actually gaming on it right now without problem, just gotta be careful not to touch the power button

Messed-Up Display

Hello XDA,
My Nexus 5 running CM12 5.0.2 nightly will not respond to the touches anymore infact when I press the power button to activate the display it acts as if someone is touching it randomly messing all the apps that are running and opening and closing many other things.
Furthermore it displays weird and burned lines throughout the screen. It was not dropped, no water went inside the device or anything. If it helps I did install the OTA updates that CM gives us.
I have also attached pictures so you may get a better understanding of my problem.
Thanks in advance.

Hmm I see. Well since a month HAS passed, its definetly not the rom thats causing the problem, i don't know if anything regarding the software could even be causing the problem. Its 100% hardware and by that i mean the screen, you should change it, the touch and also the display are messed up.

Is it possible that a driver update could fix this, if so then how?

I hate to be the bringer of bad news - but your screen is toast. Fortunately you can replace the touch and display components all at once.
http://www.amazon.com/Skiliwah-Digitizer-Assembly-Google-nexus5/dp/B00HN0U168
Here is what you need to perform the repairs - and here are the procedures for disassembly.
https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Disassembling+Nexus+5+Display+Teardown+-+liquid+damage/32410
Trust me, it's not that difficult. Unfortunately, it's a bit pricey ($60 for the screen and digitizer), nevertheless much cheaper than a new device or sending your device in for repairs.

Problem Solved
The screen isn't toast, neither is the digitizer. I have 2 of these phones. The parts which cause problems like this are the main board and the ribbon with the USB connector on it, which also attaches the screen & digitizer to the main board. One was showing lines exactly like this, & also no touch. I put a replacement main board in. Works great now. The other, wouldn't even turn on. I put the main board from the first phone in the second one, it still wouldn't turn on. I replaced the ribbon cable, it turns on and perfectly replicates the issue from the first phone. So now, I have one fully functioning LG Nexus 5, and another which turns on with the same problem as yours. This is good, I started out with 2 of them that were useless to me. So, it appears that your display and touch issues are caused solely by a bad main board. A replacement main board costs somewhere around $75. After swapping stuff around, I have 2 bad main boards, 1 bad USB ribbon & 1 working phone of 2. Not bad, not bad at all.

[Q] Broken graphics, screen, or software problem?

Hi, the other day while I was using my OPO as a GPS unit in the car, it seemed to freeze and restart, but it didn't boot. I thought it was just an empty battery problem. But since then, I haven't been able to use my phone again.
Apparently, it boots correctly, but I can't see anything on the screen. I say it boots correctly because I can hear the notifications, the led blinks, and I can even feel the feedback if I touch the capacitive buttons. Also I was able to backup my data through adb. But the screen is completely black. The only moment where it shows something is at the moment of booting, where the cyanogen logo should be, but it's completely scrambled (see attachment)...
I tried going back to stock (with the help of Bacon Root Toolkit) with no luck.
Has anyone faced the same problem? Do you think it might be a software problem? Otherwise, do you think it's a screen problem that I can fix changing the screen? Or it might be a problem with the GPU and changing the screen will not accomplish anything?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers,
Capelare.
PS: Well, apparently I can't post the image since I just registered. It's here anyway: i_imgur_com/V9oH2el.jpg Just change the _ for dots, please. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
bump
Nobody knows what might be the problem?
Reflashing didn't help anything? Even with wiping all data?
Then i think its an hardware- based problem.

Try booting into fastboot (volume up and power when off) you will hear a vibration and fastboot mode should come up, if this doesn't happen, it's pretty much a dead giveaway that the hardware is broken

Thank you! Nothing happens with any of those methods. So yeah, I also suspected that it's a hardware problem... But do you know if I can figure out if it's the screen or the graphics system (I don't know how to call it other than graphic card... and it's not a card lol) before purchasing a screen replacement... Any ideas?
Thanks again,
Capelare.

I find it hard to believe that the gpu is broken, the cpu, gpu and more are all on a single chip and I don't think one part can just fail without the others failing too... but you never know, if you can still send it to oneplus for warranty do it, it saves you a lot of time. If you can't there are a few things you can do:
1. If you had usb debugging enabled and authorized to your pc, you can try to use some screen mirroring software on your pc that works via usb.
2. Contact a repair shop that will allow you to test a new or used display with your current phone.
3. Try connecting your one to a tv by using a micro usb to hdmi cable (DON'T KNOW IF THE ONE SUPPORTS THIS!!).
Good luck!

Thanks, I can't send it to oneplus because this screen is already a replacement and I changed it myself. I will try asking for another display
I didn't know the gpu and the cpu were on the same chip, but I also think it's not likely that one would fail and not the other.

Zenfone not responding. Very specific situation.

My phone seems to be dead - screen is blacked out no matter what, no sound and it seem you cant get any kind of response from the phone. by that I mean that I have tried all the available resets- factory reset, safe mode and every other one I could find.
Although, the red light near the right corner can be turned on by pressing the volume and start button somehow and it can last while not charging the phone which should take the battery out of the equation.
Is there anything else I can do ? Are you familiar with the situation ?
Thanks for any help!
Same happened to me yesterday, contacted Asus Shop Germany , got an RMA and will send it in . How did you resolve your problem ? Got a new phone ?

Mi Mix 3 Bootloop after screen replacement

Hi, I'm new to the forum and to mobile operating system troubleshooting in general. I'm hoping to gain some insight into an issue I'm having.
I broke the screen on my mi mix 3 and after waiting for 2 months it finally arrived from Shenzhen. Yesterday I disassembled the phone, connected the new screen, turned it on, and it just went into a bootloop. I've never changed any part of the operating system on the phone before so I just assumed something was making a poor connection. I unplugged all the leads and plugged them back in again, checked that everything was firmly in place, and ended with the same result.
Fastboot will run sometimes for 10+ minutes and then the phone will just shut off, normal booting it will switch from "Mi" to "MIX" and the animation at the bottom of the screen will freeze after a couple clicks and it will loop back to restarting (but twice it has just ended with an all white screen). Rebooting from Mi Recovery mode results in the same.
From what I've seen I'll just need to follow this and flash the phone : https ://c.mi .com/thread-2504118-1-1.html?t=1590725045909
But my question, is there any possible way to try to fix this issue without loosing all my data and without using a back door method that may just brick the phone?
Thanks for any help, btw I still have the back glass off (I've tried with the fingerprint scanner plugged in, nothing) just in case it could somehow be a hardware issue.
So I've given up on trying to save my data, I don't really care much about that to be honest. I just really like this phone and would like to use it. I tried to flash the phone using Miui's official instructions but I can't unlock the bootloader because I can't download the app Miui's flash tool is requiring me to download on the phone to authorize it.
I guess I'll keep looking for a work around.

I changed my display too and it's bootlooping. Did you solve this problem?
I changed my Display too...everything worked fine when I tested it. I unplugged it again to clean the phone and to bring on the glue..when I had the Screen on I restarted and had a black screen...so tried to remove the screen which then just broke...so I ordered a new one and a new display flex cable - I didn't glue the screen yet because I either experience black screens when the screen gets pushed against the backplate or the phone ends in a bootloop -> for the bootloop thingy I just waited for about 10 minutes and then it started normally so there must be something with replacement screens...I don't know whats going on -.-
Hi
Has anyone managed to get this fixed?
The screen works initially but after a while it goes blank, reboot I get the Mix logo not mix 5G. The replacement is a LCD.
Looks like it is stuck in bootloop as inserting sim does phone does not ring when I call it nor front face camera clunk when I slide it
