[Completed] Is there any software that could lock Windows Mobile device after specified time? - XDA Assist

Lets say I have to lend my device to someone for a certain period of time, for example 14 days.
During this time it has to be fully operable.
What can I do to prevent this device from being used after that time, turn it inoperable?
Is there any software which could help?
Thanks in advance for any reply.

Hi,
I can't find anything about such a method. You will need to register on XDA and ask about that here,

[Completed] Is there anyway to retrieve photos from the internal memory of a dead android phone?

My phone has been dead for over a year (apparently from water damage) and so I've been trying to get access to the photos in the internal memory without any luck. Is there anyway that I can do so?
Thank you.
Hi,
If your phone doesn't power on at all, there is nothing you can do unfortunately. But if it does power on, even with no display, there are many options to try. You'd be best to google search on "data recovery Android xda" for lots of options.
However, it's been experience that the success rate is very low, especially with no display.
You can ask about it further if you register and ask here,

[Completed] [Q] Caller phone model

Hi everyone,
Is there an app to identify caller's phone model?
Hi,
If there is an app, I would not trust it anyway. If it incorrectly identified your device and you try to flash anything not designed for your exact device, it could destroy your device.
You can ask about it here,

I'd maybe look for a sticker or something on the device with a model number or anything to search on google.... In the battery compartment maybe if it opens up.
Good luck!

[Completed] [Urgent] Remotely modify lost device settings?

I lost my (simless, older) device that I use as an iPod-eqscue over a crazy weekend however today have discovered, the device is on, connected to the internet. I've locked the device down i.e added a password and lockscreen message using Android Manager, however the location settings are set to off, as it both uses too much battery and I'm pretty security conscious however this appears to have come back to bite me in the ass. The device has battery, wifi (AFAIK, Android Manager says its "online") and Root access, I'm wondering if someone knows of a way I can modify the settings i.e turn on Location without having the device to hand? If I could do it, I would be able to trace the device hopefully
If there's some other way I can trace the device i.e install software using play store that doesn't require me to click allow on something.. because I wouldn't have lost my device then!
Hi,
With GPS off and no locating software installed, I very much doubt there's anything you can do at this point. But you're welcome to ask for ideas here,

Hi and welcome to XDA.
There's no dedicated forum for your device here in XDA. Try posting your query in Android Q&A,Help and Troubleshooting or in the friendly Q&A thread here->[Ask Any Question][Newbie Friendly]. Experts there may be able to help you.

[Completed] I have multiple problems after installing CM-11 to my phone.

My phone is an LG-E980. I'd post the exact link on my phone, but spam prevention wins.
So I have quite a number issues regarding my phone ever since I updated to Cyanogenmod 11. I chose this mod because it was the perfect firmware number for the apps I wished to run, and according to the wiki I linked above, going 12+ would disable my SIM card. However, after installing CM tonight I have alot of problems with my phone.
It seems all related to the hardware. The speakers won't play any sound no matter what I try, including alarms or youtube. With this in mind i'm certain that headphones won't work. The Camera won't even load, and finally the SIM card refuses to even work. It's as if drivers to these parts of my phone flat out don't exist. I'm able to connect to the internet still, and I have full access to my phone + it's recovery, so i'm sure the problem is easily fixed. However, I have absolutely no idea where to start. If anyone could help me, i'd really appreciate it.
