Xperia S without system - HELP!!!

Hello.
A few days ago i bought my new Sony Xperia S. I gave this phone to a moment for my friend - he would install CyanogenMod 9 on this. Installation from androidauthority[.]com/xperia-s-lt26i-ics-cyanogenmod-9-unofficial-81581/ tutorial are failed, and my Xperia actual runs only bootloader and recovery mode. Installation of Cyanogen is not working, it failure after one-two seconds of install. What i to do with my phone, for recovery the factory Android?
Please help to me, my phone is actual like brick

Thanks. I downloaded both files - App and FTF, launched FlashTool (Windows), i chose Flashmode, and linked to file FTF. Everything is all right, but after clicking OK the program displaying prompt "How to put phone in FastBoot mode" - of course my phone is already in this mode. What is the cause?

to connect the phone is fastboot mode power off the phone and hold the volume up key and connect the phone to pc via USB,it should show a blue led that indicates fastboot mode

I had the same problem when i tried to flash something i ended up having the same problem. Phone keeps rebooting into recovery mode.
I also have the Sony Xperia S LT26i.
Flash the phone using fastboot using this command: "Fastboot flash boot kernel.sin".
For that you need the kernel file. I'm guessing that your kernel and my kernel are the same because we have the same phone. If you want the kernel file, email me then i will send you the files. Hope this helped

Not really. But thought it could be helpful to others who might ever come across the same problem like i and he did. By the way how did you know i commented on this post?

[unlock bootloader] [Relock bootloader] [Xperia e ss] [other Xperia] [noob friendly]

this guide is for anyone having trouble unlockin bootloader.
note: unlocking bootloader voids your warranty but hey you can relock your bootloader and your phone is under warranty once again
note : after unlocking bootloader of Xperia e c1504/1505 c1504 goes into bootloop and in some cases c1505 also faces bootloop.so backup all your data.
1)- open the dialler
and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access
the service menu. In your device, tap Service info >
Configuration > Rooting Status . If
Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes,
then you can continue unlocking your phone..
if its no then please stop and don't try the next steps.
2)- go to developer options in your phone and enable usb debugging and in security options tick on allow installation of non market apps.
3)- download http://adbdriver.com/upload/AdbDriverInstaller.exe and install adb drivers installer on pc,open it and connect your phone to pc and install the adb drivers.
4)- download flashtool http://androxyde.github.io/index.html?1350585408000 and install on pc.
5)-open flashtool folder>flash tool drivers>flash tool drivers and then select fastboot drivers and flashmode drivers and install them.
6)- download http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390169635556426292 and extract it adb_fastboot_and_other_tools.zip and place in on your desktop/any other drive.

0xKEY' ,without single quotes where KEY is the unlock boot
loader key you got in step 7 .. after doing this you will get reply as done on pc and your bootloader will be unlocked.
using the above instructions you can unlock other Xperia also which has bootloader unlock allowes to be yes.backup your data before unlocking.only the fastboot buttons will vary. you can get it here -

2)open flashtool click thunder icon select flash mode and select the stock ftf.
3)- connect Xperia e as shown in step 8 but with. holding volume down button instead of volume up. you will get a green led
4)- original firmware will get flashed and initial startup will take about 5 minutes. so be patient.
steps for relocking Xperia e bootloader
1)- download https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_d8uWGbkaetYmh2V0l5Q0dFQW8/edit?usp=sharing
2)- flash it in same way as you flashed the original firmware..
note)- after relocking bootloaDer//on a locked bootloader if you face bootloop then use Sony update engine (download from official website) to flash original firmware.

thanks for the post. ive been reading hundreds of pages here in preparation to root my phone (XPERIA E/c1504.) i know that unlocking the bootloader is step one, so your guide is pretty helpful, but i'm on a mac! does this change any part of the process?
3)- download ADBDRIVER and install adb drivers installer on pc,open it and connect your phone to pc and install the adb drivers.
4)- download flashtool ANDROXYDE and install on pc.
i know i can get androxyde for mac, but is there a mac version of the adbdriver program?
7)- go here SONYMOBILE .
fill your details and then check your email inbox for bootloader key.
if you contact sony for the bootloader key, unlock, then lock back if you have to return it to them for warranty issues, etc., won't they know since you had to get the key from them?

The latest Flashtool (v0.9.11.0) has "BLU" menu to make Lock/Unlock bootloader more easier.
the simple step :
1. Set up Flashtool to be ready for your device.
2. Refer to the SONY link provided in OP, and get your bootloader key
3. Connect your phone to Flashtool.
4. Click the "BLU" and follow the step.
hope that work for Xperia E,.

Dude,u necessarily don't have to unlock bootloader... If u need root.(just root.nothing else).

okay your next question is quite good. first when I unlocked my bootloader and faced bootloop. I got my phone a Sony service centre. the guy there took my phone on warranty and tried to reinstall software through sus (works only on locked bootloader). then when he was unsuccessful he told me software modified and I got my phone back
so I don't think you will have any issue with warranty.
you can get any Xperia phone's bootloader key in your inbox just by knowing its imei.
so no issues at all.
P.S : rooting can also be done on a locked Xperia e

Are u kidding...u mean to flash with the ftf.of C1504...dude mine is C1604 dual.....
Anyway I flashed by creating ftf from pc companion
.
And all these,steps are UN necessary..I unlocked my bootloader with flashtool..

dude i tried the steps you have mentioned but according to the official website of sony after unlocking the bootloader of the 2013 devices the factory data formats and also the settings due to which during flashing the stock rom the flashtool fails and shows that device is connected without usb debugging. now you tell me what should i do.

i couldn't find anything useful in ur post sorry to say that but as i said after unlocking the bootloader the factory data formatted and usb debugging was disabled due to which flashtool is not able to read my phone during flashing and hence cannot flash the stock ftf file. now what should i do

Dude to flash stock ftf you need not enable usb debugging.
Power off, click flash, connect phone in flashmode..

no dude this is the first time i have done it i have bought it just two months ago and now i want it to be rooted as i know what all potential my phone is having if i get full control on it i have done all these stuff with samsung devices which generally dont have bootloader. But now i am not able to do anything plz help:crying::crying:

Dude in that thread it is clearly explained how to flash your phone with ftf..click thunder select flashmode,select ftf,click flash, wait till it asks you to connect device,power off connect in flashmode....
If u have done these steps correctly u won't have any problems

[Q] bootloader status unknown, and problem with cyanogen

When I use flashtool to unlock my bootloader, it seems to succeed. however, when I check my rooting status, It is listed as Unknown.
also, when I tried to install Cyanogenmod 12 using a recovery, it seemed to succeed, and no errors were displayed. however, when I tried to reboot, It wouldn't turn on. at this point, pushing the power button only caused the phone to vibrate. the only solution was to flash the ftf and start over, which didn't work,
what should I do?am I doing something wrong?
I used the instructions on this pages:

you could try (dont know if it will work)
prepare:
download from my site:
sdtbarbarossa.bplaced.net
bootlp.img
madbf.exe
put bootlp.img on C:\
download from cm site the official cm12 build for "taoshan"
put the cm12 build on an external sdcard and place it in your phone
on your phone activate usb debugging
____________
progress:
install and execute madbf.exe
while phone is on plug it into pc
IN madbf enter:
adb reboot bootloader
(wait for phone to get blue led)
fastboot flash boot C:\bootlp.img
fastboot reboot
(now when purple led ...press vol-)
you are now in cwm
________
factory reset-> clean to install
install -> sdcard1 -> your cm build
wipe cache and dalvik cache (dont know where)
reboot system
________
reboot can take 45min .... if you run into any trouble tell me...

please generate your unlockcode on official sony site....and then try the oem unlock command manually with madbf.exe
also may you send me a image of your aboot?

I am afraid I do not know how to unlock bootloader with adb, and I couldn't find instructions on how to do it.

Follow the instructions on the Sony website to unlock your bootloader "officially".

also thanks to you kahana, for providing me with the link. I thought manual unlock was a third method other than FT and Official.
the solution was to use official method. afterwards, the whole process was easily done.
currently, I am looking at cyanogen logo waiting for it to boot.

i tried flashing but fails,, my phone wasnt recognized in my pc (The LED lights Green but nothing happens).
The phone connects in Fastboot(with blue LED) and is recognized in Flashtool

yeah flash it trough flashtool if its detecting in flashtool its easy check tutorial here or Google it

i follow instruction how to flash xperia e3 d2202.
I've already downloaded what needed ( file .ftf, drivers, and flashtool)
i use flashtool 0.9.18.6 version
when i press volume - then connect usb cable , the green led indikator turn on but no respond and not recognize on my pc
if i press volume +, my pc recognize it and at fastboot mode

Press Win key+R, type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
You will see the list of devices connected to your PC. If you connect your phone and your PC recognizes it, the list will refresh.
Try to see if the list refreshes when you put your D2202 into flash mode (with the green LED).
If it refreshes, look if a new device has appeared in any menu.

Maybe but I don't know becouse if USB doesn't work fastboot mode wouldn't connect, but it is connecting.
You have to flash a rom through fastboot mode, so you need to find system.img and boot.img from stock rom of a D2202 (unfortunately I have D2203 variant so I can't backup my phone, but I can help you findind the files on XDA) and flash it though flash tool.
You can also try to download an ADB toolbox and run the command:
fastboot erase userdata
(this command will remove all your apps' data but can fix your issue)

Try these steps
Follow this guide to install ADB toolkit.
Then open Sony Flashtool and select the XF icon.
Find Xperia E3 and select D2202 variant. In the right panel you will see a lot of entries with countries and telephone companies, select one and click in the field of "Available firmware:". Download the rom.
When it finishes, close XperiFirm. Click on thunder icon, select Fastboot mode, connect your phone off with vol + pressed (blue LED) to the PC and then press on Select system to Flash. It will ask for a sin file. You have to select a system_....sin, which is in C:\Users\(your user profile folder)\.flashtool\firmwares\Downloads\D2202_...\
and let process finish.
Then press on Select kernel to Flash and select, in the same folder as before, a file called kernel_....sin
When it finishes you can disconnect your pone and try to power it on.

I have a Xperia E3 D2212 and I made the whole process, the problem is that I could not increase the storage memory and FlashTools no longer recognizes my cell phone as a D2212, it recognizes as a D2203, this is because it changed the Kernel in TWRP . Would you like to go back to the Original Kernel ??

well think im done i have a locked bootloader but have TWRP on and root now im just hitting bootloop and carnt ever use mobile upgrade because it wont find it as i dont have usb debugging enabled

HI if you have TWRP installed,just go to twrp and reboot to bootloader
then connect to pc with usb open adb and fastboot and
-Then type "fastboot -i 0x1bbb devices" should show some numbers and "fastboot" after the numbers
-Type "fastboot -i 0x1bbb oem device-info" shows device info including bootloader status (e.g. locked).
-Type "fastboot -i 0x1bbb oem unlock" to unlock the bootloader; after this you should get, for device info,
-Type "fastboot -i 0x1bbb oem device-info" and you should see "Device unlocked: true"
-To reboot normally: "fastboot -i 0x1bbb reboot"

But in the twrp you have to reboot to bootloader and just use the commands in previous post if doesn't work try with mobile upgrade if doesnt't works,for me doesn't just use this guide to flash the panasonic eluga switch firmware(same as Idol 3) ,it will erase everything

Is it possible for me not to have a ulockable bootloader as I've tried everything a day no joy
I'm back on stock and rooted just no twrp because of love led bootloader
All I get is OEM unlock not allowed
I have the 6045Y and running 010 02

Also with me been on stock and rooted it won't run system update because it sees it as been rooted
When a new version of comes out can I just use mobile upgrade to flash latest version

Yes if you root your device you will wont able to get any update ,but you can get with mobile ugprade ot just flash stock system and recovery and not root..

when you use the panasonic eluga switch update firmware, it also rewrites the aboot paritions and if the aboot parition has fastboot oem unlock command you can ulock it and then use mobile upgrade Q app to go to stock (it will not lock your bootloader)

So can I tried unlock my bootloader from Panasonic eluga alone or do I need to flash firmware from it too as I'll give that a try if I can just unlock bootloader

as i said. Use the original panasonic eluga switch firmware exe, run it, choose 6045 device, connect your phone and let it do the thing. In cca 45-54% you see an error. It is nothing sreious, just unplug hte phone and booti it to see,that everything is allright.
Then just allow usb debugging, connect to PC and confirm connction with the PC ,then use adb reboot bootloader and then the unlock bootloader procedure.

But won't it just flash the firmware I already have on which is 010 02 cause if it does then my bootloader doesn't seem to be unlockable

no it flshes the complete firmware image of panasonic eluga switch, which is just rebranded idol3. with all parririons including aboot.

OK thanks worth a try see if it allowes me to unlock the bootloader will I be on a different build number once flashed
And I suppose the eluga way is more thorough then the other way

thats the only way that will allow you to unlock bootloader beside the way described in the 6039 thread (in that case you need a mbn files for your devices, which you have to find somewhere on the internet).

OK downloading now will I be on a different build number and it's worth a try only doing it to unlock my bootloader and flash your rom
Just happy to have recovered my phone in the first place lol

FINALLY i can confirm that flashing back to the panasonic rom allowed me to unlock my bootloader lol :laugh::good:
whats the best thing to do now to flash your rom should i flash back to alcatel stock rom then twrp then your rom or can i flash from the panasonic rom

just flash the DCZ ROM 1.3 should be fine. Anyway you have unlocked bootloader now and the fastboot commands will work as they should.
From now you can go stock anytime with mobile upgrade Q tool .

-go to TWRP recovery (please make sure you use the @Unjustified Dev version from here

i use the 2.8.7 you can use the 3.0.0 also.
