[Q] Can´t get any rom to boot - HTC One S

Hello
I´m going crazy here.. So I wanted to try Android 5 and long story short my phone is without a rom and apparently won´t install one.
I got the "sdcard wont mount" error but got that fixed by flashing stock recovery and reflash TWRP 2.8.4.0.
But now I cant get any rom to boot. It seem to install just fine but then ether stops at the "white" screen or at the black that comes after.
I tried "Candy5" with "gapps nano" and all seems fine but it wont boot up. Then I tried a CM10.2.0 witch is 4.4.3 but I cant get gapps to install on that one.
Info:
HTC One S s4
Old rom that I had before = Unknown Blackbean version
Hboot = 2.15
Radio = 1.11.50.05.28
Might be because I don´t know how it works but I cant get ADB Sideload to work ether.
Says "Starting ADB sideload feature. . ." in console. And then adb can´t find the device when i run a "adb devices" command.
Hope someone can help me
Edit:
Found a RUU that worked So the phone should not be completely broken.
So I unlocked the bootloader again and flashed the latest TWRP. Things still work at this point!
Then I tried the CM11 rom again and it´s still the same.. White HTC screen (whitout the red text for some reason) then the screen goes black and nothing happens.
Am I doing something wrong when I install the roms? Did it the same way with my old Galaxy s plus yesterday and it worked first try. From 2.x straight to 5.0.2.
How I´m doing it:
Wipe - Data, Cache and Dalvik
Install rom
Reboot phone
Edit 2:
Restored the backup I did after I got the phone running with the RUU. And that also worked as i should.
So why can´t i get any custom rom to work :crying:
Edit3:
I somehow got it to work and is now running LiquidSmooth on 5.0.2
This thread can be locked or deleted now I think.

I have the same probable but I can't even get RUU to work.
Do you have T Mobile phone? Where did you download RUU from?

No I´m not on T-mobile.
I got the RUU from:
androidruu.com/?developer=Ville

I get stuck on the white HTC screen. boot is unlock but s is on, can not turn it off because adb debug is not on. have no os to load in to, so I can get adb

I had to relock and flash stock recovery in order to get RUU to work. Now my phone is at least working but I still cant flash any roms. I also used rumrunner to get s-off

If you're S-On, have you separately flashed the boot.img via fastboot?

*** Urgent Help Please ***

Was running Clean Rom 4.1 & decided to try a new rom. Flashed Xi40, after install & upon reboot, phone got stuck in boot screen (was black). Went into recovery & tried to restore from a nanadroid back up & now im getting a MD5 Mismatch. Tried several times & the same thing.
When I try to just reboot the phone normally it gets stuck on the white htc splash screen & thats as far as it goes. Then tried to just RUU & am getting a USB connection error. Checked my pc for connnected devices & my phone isnt showing up. Yes I have all the drivers, never had an issue connecting my phone to pc before now. I can get into recovery but thats about it. Cant nandroid or ruu. Im running out of ideas & phone is usless right now, this sucks any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Boot into the bootloader, enter fastboot mode, and then run the RUU.
can you still access recovery? I wouldnt think there's a need to ruu if you still can get into it. wipe cache, dalvik, and do factory reset and try flashing a different rom perhaps. If you want to ruu then you'll need the drivers installed and be in fastboot on the bootloader. You may need to relock the bootloader as well in fastboot, but by doing that then your only option will be to ruu.

[Q]

First off I am sorry for posting this, however I DID use the search tool. I recently got a USA spec Wifi only Xoom. It came with 4.1.1 preinstalled. I have sucessfully unlocked the bootloader.
My problem is this. I cannot gain root or even get CWM installed. I have tried oneclick, i have tried cmd prompt. I have followed every guide I can find to a "T". Is there something missing, is it an issue with Jellybean being preinstalled?
Use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468298 to get CWM installed (and when you reboot from fastboot flashing the recovery image, and this is very important, DO NOT LET IT FULLY REBOOT INTO THE OS. You have to get into recovery in the next boot or the OS will just overwrite it with the stock recovery and you will just have to go back into fastboot and flash the recovery again.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30464067&postcount=408 has the root once you get CWM installed.

Thanks for the reply, however this is one of the utilities I have tried,..
Here is a bit more info.
I am running windows 7 64bit if it makes a difference. Whenever I get the device into fastboot and try to flash anything, it just hangs at the original fastboot screen. I have let it sit there from 3 hours and eventually I have to reboot it. The Lord AIO Tool you linked just gives me and error message that the device is not a 2.2/2.3 device. If I were at home I would take a screenshot.
Could my bootloader be corrupt? The device still boots up and runs jellybean fine, but I am not loving the stock experience thus far...
Thanks again for the links!
Actually sounds like your drivers aren't right. I will look them up and link them when I get home
Try installing the driver from http://developer.motorola.com/tools/usb_drivers/, rebooting your pc, and try fastboot again. If that still doesn't work, then there may be something wrong with your pc setup OR your Xoom, not sure at that point.

Thanks a million, I am going to try it fresh on my pc at work. Thanks!
That did the trick THANKS A BUNCH!!!!!

TWRP crashing

Well, after trying to install a ROM through TWRP the phone rebooted and froze on the HTC screen. I then go back into bootloader and try to get into recovery but the splash screen pops up and then the phone reboots. I can get into CWM however when trying to sideload any .zips there I get an error. Not really sure what to do at this point. I probably should have stopped playing with it when I fixed it the first time, ha.
Edit: I fixed my problems! Very happy, ended up restoring some of the firmware from the OTA's and TWRP started working again. Just flashed ROM and fully functionally.

My provider is AT&T. I used the UK OTA from this link http://db.tt/LrIEemZ4 . Its part of this thread in general http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422885. Basically what was happening is that I had flashed a ROM which didn't work out and so it would just hang on the white HTC screen. I figured no big deal I'll just go into recovery and flash another one I know works. That didn't work out. Any time I tried to go into recovery the TWRP splash screen would pop up for a second then the phone would reboot. Which kind of had me puzzled because I flashed ClockWorkMod for recovery and it would at least get me into recovery but still adb sideload was giving me errors so I flashed TWRP again even though it wasn't working either.. I pulled the boot.img out of the Firmware.zip in the OTA and flashed that with fastboot. At that point I had tried just about everything and was about to give up but to my surprise that seemed to fix it. I was able to go into recovery no problem. Sideloaded the ROM and everything went great. I'll probably not be messing with my phone like that for a bit haha. It was the second night in a row that I had wiped an OS off the phone and struggled to figure out how to get it working. Glad its all good now though. Good luck to you!
cant change recovery / device rebooting
Hi, i have a similar problem,
I've unlocked with htcdev everything is fine.
Then I installed Twrp-2.6.0.0.img as recovary.
I'm not able to mount the internal storage, so I had to push the ROMs via ADB.
starting a ROM 1st time seems to be ok.
restart is also ok.
shutdown and power on is rebooting every ~15sec.
I tried to change my bootloader.
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.6-m7ul.img -> volume keys are responding
fastboot boot recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.6-m7ul.img -> volume keys are NOT responding
recovery isn't starting until i run following commands:
fastboot flash recovery Twrp-2.6.0.0.img -> volume keys are responding
fastboot boot Twrp-2.6.0.0.img -> volume keys are NOT responding
but after resetting the device + entering recovery it's there
thanks for your ideas/help

[Q] One Mini Unable to flash recovery "IMAGE UPDATE ERROR"

Hi, I have a unlocked HTC One Mini S-ON, not sure if root is still there.
I had it loaded with One-Hybrid-Rom, which used to work fine.
Whenever the phone runs out of battery and I recharge it, after trying to reboot, I always get bootloader.
I have to reboot boatloader 100 times before I finally get the HTC screen and the Rom boots up.
Once the rom is loaded, the phone works fine.
Also, in bootloader, I can NOT enter recovery. When I select "Recovery", it gets back to the same bootloader screen.
So I tried flashing the recovery partition with all kinds of versions of twrp and cwm.
The phone is perfectly connected with adb, fastboot. I use fastboot flash firmware to try and flash the recovery, but it ALWAYS gives me the same error, it is able to send the file to the phone perfectly, but when it starts writing I get "IMAGE UPDATE ERROR".
I have tried literally everything to get the recovery partition working again, but all fails.
As I said, once the phone is booted up, it is working fine...
Is there a fix for this issue? It is just impossible to reboot the phone 100 times before the rom loads.
Thanks a lot guys.

No one?
No-one willing to help me on an unflashable recovery partition?
Sometimes phone boots into modded OS and runs perfectly, but mostly (99 out of 100 times) it just reboots to bootloader,
unable to enter recovery.
When flashing recovery (I tried all possible recoveries) via fastboot, it connects, but then I get "Failed, image update error"..;
I would really like to use this phone again...
It is S-ON, Unlocked, Hboot-2.21
Thanks.
