First disable auto-brightness
You can check this thread: THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO FLASH GPE LOLLIPOP OTA 5.0.1 on XT1032/XT1033/XT1034 with ROOT.
And use an alternative auto-brightness app like described here: moto g brightness apps.
At least as long as the stock auto-brightness feature in your Android L ROM is broken.
Here you can find various threads about Android L for your device: Find out how to get Android L on your Moto G. Install the latest operating system from Google with tutorials and instructions on getting Android L for the Moto G.
Maybe another ROM has a working auto-brightness function.
If you register on xda, you can post in the Moto G Help and Troubleshooting forum to get quick and proper help for your device.

VPN on Android L

Is there any VPN working on Android L? I can't even log into my Google account and restore my apps in China because everything Google is now blocked....Hola doesn't work, fqrouter doesn't work either. I'd really appreciate if someone could help me with it.
Thanks.
Um you do know that L is a developer preview edition, not necessarily ready for daily use...? I would read thru a bunch of the L threads already out there there might be a hack

I had the same problem. I use VyprVPN for China and couldn't even log into my account. Tried to set it up manually and also failed.
Please use the dedicated L thread

update
So how do i update this rom im on 4.4.4l version 6.1 moto g and are u guys going to make one for android l just wondering love this rom best one ive had for this device
about validus
in case the maintainer finds this post, testing the latest milestone (6.2) on falcon (moto g, european version), found a few bugs :
- the setting to disable wifi in profiles and power saving mode for the battery (in the void options) is just ignored. When disabling wifi manually, it comes back everytime I exit the lock screen (maybe it's because of another setting but I couldn't find it).
- in sound option, music effects shows viper audio. When clicking on it, it proposes to install its driver automatically. Except that it doesn't work, since there is no log it's hard to know why. I tried the 3 proposed driver, to reinstall busybox (from the playstore), nothing worked.
- And the touch screen suddenly stopped working in 1 situation, I don't know why. I received a mail, when I tried toclick the screen it didn't work, and I couldn't use the touch screen anymore even after puting the phone to sleep and wake it up again, so I had to do a hard reset (power button pressed for a few seconds).
I'll try to keep on using it, but if the touche screen bug comes back I guess I'll have to do something... maybe try another kernel then, it seems related to the kernel...

This 6.2 MS is built with what version of DK kernel? 1, 1.1 or 2?
Everything else works fine atm.
request
I just want to say that i have been using this rom as my daily driver since 2 days. no major bugs..
just wanted to request that the theme of the settings app should be changed back to the material white again. thank you
I'm using validus 5.0.2, build date says Jan 1. I noticed in a post you said you added the option to change nav bar dimensions, but I don't see it anywhere. Also "performance" under settings is empty.
I guess the questions asked here are of so little importance they don't deserve to be answered...
Can't post screenshot.
Groups still themed white text on white BG.
Rom, gapps, kernel so anything else I forgot to install apart from these?

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately this isn't what XDA Assist is for, our purpose is to point people who don't know where to post in the right direction. Enter "cm device requests" into Google and the first result should be a link to a page where you can request CM to build for your device.
Good luck!

[Q] Cyanogenmod for Nexus 5 Lollipop 5.1?

I have a LG Nexus 5 with Lollipop 5.1, unlocked and unrooted. Is there an easy way to install CyanogenMod to it? I'm new to tinkering with my phone so don't have much knowledge or experience with this.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
A quick search for that app leads me to believe that it takes advantage of LP's power saving features built into the firmware. Not exactly fair to assume those features would be in the KitKat version (99% sure they won't). Sorry.
But for porting "down" other apps, you may want to post your questions here:
> App Development Forums > Coding Discussion, Q&A, and Educational Resources > Java for Android App Development
It doesn't look easy, as when you set up a new app in Eclipse, one of the first things it asks is how far back the compatibility should go. The further back, the fewer features will be available. So some (if not many/all) apps will require a complete rewrite.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
