Hello, and welcome to XDA!
A quick search for that app leads me to believe that it takes advantage of LP's power saving features built into the firmware. Not exactly fair to assume those features would be in the KitKat version (99% sure they won't). Sorry.
But for porting "down" other apps, you may want to post your questions here:
> App Development Forums > Coding Discussion, Q&A, and Educational Resources > Java for Android App Development
It doesn't look easy, as when you set up a new app in Eclipse, one of the first things it asks is how far back the compatibility should go. The further back, the fewer features will be available. So some (if not many/all) apps will require a complete rewrite.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately this isn't what XDA Assist is for, our purpose is to point people who don't know where to post in the right direction. Enter "cm device requests" into Google and the first result should be a link to a page where you can request CM to build for your device.
Good luck!

[Completed] [Q]Adding animations in apps (App development)

Hi,
I'm developing a kitkat ROM for a Mediatek powered device. I want to add some animations in settings app (android_packages_apps_settings). But I'm new to these things (app development) and I'm not sure where and how to apply the animations. I want to add this animation(reveal effect): http://developer.android.com/training/material/animations.html#Reveal
If there are any guides around here then please redirect me to it.

Hello
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Each device has its peculiarities that should be noticed before installing a O.S. Even, as a learning playground, you will surely need to experiment with your own device. Given your report, we could not determine the Manufacturer & Model of your device in order to better approach your request.
I will have to ask you to create a new Thread where you could be as detailed as possible regarding your devices information and needs.
Nice regards and good luck.

[Completed] Install CyanogenMod in lenovo A3500-HV

I own a Lenovo A3500 -HV. I have been using it for an year now and it is running KitKat(4.4.2). There is no sign of a newer OS coming to this tab so I have decided to install a new ROM. I decided to go with CynanogenMod but the problem is my device is not listed in the supported devices directory.
I think my device has the minimum requirements to run the OS.
I would like to know if it will be better to install the CyanogenMod or just leave it with kitkat or maybe install some other mods that my tab can support?
