No way to rearrange things in stock launchers. You either have to install a launcher that let's you do something like that or use an xposed module that let's you do that(I haven't come across such a module).

I really hope somebody is working on such module

applications menu

Hello,
They know how to sort the applications menu?
Separate by games, applications, etc.
As far as I know you can't do that. I am not sure if there is a launcher or a rom that will allow that though.

Too bad.
The LG 2X if you let it
thanks
I believe that you need a different launcher. The built-in ADW Launcher (CM7) allows you to separate your apps into catalogs.

GO launcher allows you to use folders and uninstall applications straight from the app drawer.

App that hides apps?

First off I want to say that feature that shows similar threads when you start a thread is awesome.
With that said, I didn't find one on that...which is amazing as I am sure there are threads on just about everything here.....probably more than one.
Is there an app that can hide apps in any launcher? I know in several if not most launchers you have the ability but not all launchers....for instance stock....so....is there an app that can hide apps in any launcher?

Anyway to remove the app drawer ?

I want to have more room on the screen and want to clear all the apps at the bottom (cellphone SMS and web)
Is there a ROM ?

You're referring to the 'dock'. Just try a launcher. Action Launcher is my favorite.

Nova launcher allows this
Some roms has "immersive" mode where it removes the top and bottom and gives you more screen real estate
Also use Nova free to do this...
I use NOVA and have the dock set to hide with a swipe up. I keep the dock hidden until I need it.

You can also do it with stock launcher and Xposed + GravityBox. I did it for a while but I didn't like the fact that back or home becomes a two step process rather than one.

Reducing the size of Google Keyboard - how can I do that?

I am using Google Keyboard, but it doesn't have an option to reduce its size. What I'm trying to do is use Xposed + App Settings, find the keyboard's process, and reduce its DPI. The problem with this is that it only affects the settings menu, and not the actual keyboard. I assume there's a separate process for the keyboard itself and another one for the settings.
Can you think of any way to do this? Swiping long words on a large keyboard is not very comfortable. Any ideas?

If you want a customizable keyboard try swifkey

I've tested all major keyboards and I'm not interested in any other one. Google Keyboard is almost perfect; I just need to make it smaller.

Ohk sir.. then I'll leave this upto great developers and their scripts

Bumping this thread as I too would love to know how to do this.
API does not allow DPI change

Hello fellow Androider,
I have tried doing this using Xposed framework and every other way I could google but it seems the scripts in the application framework do not allow us to change the DPI for the Google Keyboard.
I just gave up and at the moment I'm using a sweet alternative called Minuum Keyboard, I hope you'll thank me after you try it!!!
Peace,
Syed

[Q] Hide app from app drawer

Is there a way to hide an app from the app drawer maybe without root? Or with root and then removing root that will keep the app hidden?
Thanks

That's a feature of the launcher. Nova and Go are two launchers that have this..

If ur using xposed, u can try GEL settings.
I think the launcher features are only for the premium (paid) app (not 100% sure though). If that's the case you can either pay for the app and use that method or root, xposed framework like the person above me said. However, I highly doubt that the settings will stay if you remove root since xposed needs it to run.
System app freezer
The GEL Launcher doesn't support this feature unless you're using Xposed + GEL settings module. But it only works if you're rooted.
So the only method is to use a Launcher which supports this feature. Examples are Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher. The "hide app" feature is free to use. @poster above: For freezing an app you need root.
