I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place but may benefit someone on the forums.
Friend who works at basecamp just posted this. They're looking for a developer to help with design of their Android app and future development. Looks to be a full time job and you can work remotely.

This is a real growing company. I use basecamp project management software for my own business.
Hope it works out for someone.
Side note: Looks like living social is also looking for a remote Android developer as well. https://weworkremotely.com/jobs/1187

Newbie post!
We've come up with our first app---uHeart. It does a nice job controlling or manipulating the camera, display and vocalization functions. I post here because I think this forum might especially appreciate seeing what my coding partner works through the Eclipse plug-in for Android. Is he any good? What do you think? How could we make it better?
uHeart on the Android Marketplace (or linked below here)
Let us know what you think or how we can improve. All feedback is welcome, particularly if it is constructive.
Thanks, S

uHeart is linked under my name
also available on the Android Market or here
I wasn't sure where anything like this would go, so I made sure to put it in a forum as general as possible.
I'm a beginning web designer, but seeing as I spend most of my free time on this site, I'm growing more of an interest in learning to code for the mobile platform. If anybody is willing to help, all I'm asking for is a few tips from developers here on where to begin.
I learned some very basic java in college, but was wondering if there is a better path to go on. Do I start with BASIC? Do I continue and go towards more advanced Java and stick with only one programming language?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
-Considering I've done almost everything that I can with my rooted EVO, all of you were the people I'd rather hear from. I appreciate all of the hard work that you all have done!
You can develop full market apps using the language I use called basic4android.
Its easy to use but very powerful, produces a native android apk (so no interpreters) and has regular updates.
There are free user contributed libraries that make it even better and it has been used to produce everything from live wallpapers and anti theft apps to games and gps software so is a good option to consider.
I wrote my first app after messing about with it for about an hour and was amazed how easy it makes things. Google basic4android and you will find its homepage for more info. I can't remember the address as it's saved as a bookmark on my pc not phone.
EDIT: did a google search and its at http://www.basic4ppc.com/

Moving to Q&A
Hi Everybody.
I saw some videos with storyboard in iOS development. I take interest into this project. I'm going to design and try to implement a such similar thing as long term just for fun project. Not sure yet, but I hope it will be alive and I will still want to do it. I understand this project is not small so I am looking for co-developers to work on it together. I am experienced Android developer and have experience developing desktop apps. Honestly I am familiar with OSX development, but I think I have very poor experience with it. I am looking forward and develop prototype native application for OSX and later, may be, for Windows.
Just as note, I want it to be as big live parser and designer, so it will use real source code of android project and does not require any additional libraries or frameworks to be integrated into Android project.
If you are not familiar with storyboard in iOS, please just look at screenshot and you will understand why android designer sucks.
Thank you and let me know if you are interested in this.
p.s. I hope I've chosen right thread to post a such topic.
Hello All.
I'm new to the forum, so please bare with me. I'm in desperate need of an Android developer to code an app for me. I work in the Stagehand community, and have come up with a concept to make running a show easier and more efficient. I've been working backstage for over 13 yrs and have an excellent concept in hand. The "concept" has been tested and researched for over a year. I have a paper and digital prototype of the app and am done with all functionality for the app. The only thing left to do is work on 1 page of the layout(UI) and start coding. I can provide feedback from users, pictures, links to the digital prototype and more to assure the concept is proven and in the advanced stages. Please help me find someone to develop this app and get it to my industry. People are begging for it. Thanks so much.
Developer Needed for Joint Venture
I am in need of an App Developer for ideas I want to launch in the tech space. It will be a joint founder project in all ramification.
I'm looking for developers willing and able to help with a project.
I'll start by saying, this is a Atheist oriented project focused on atheist related issues. You don't need to be atheist to help, but at least opened minded to others beliefs, or lack there of.
I'm heading this project for the time being. Its my idea, but its beyond my depth. I don't have the skill set to pull this off on my own. I'll take a step back and allow someone who's capable of heading this, once I find one. I can help in other areas, mostly design.
I have two other developers on board already. Capable of developing Android and WP apps. I have done some Android developing on my own, but I'm a amateur at coding.
We'll be building a website, paired with some mobile apps. Focused on help and information forums, local community forums, Atheist related news articles, Articles on atheism, etc without getting into it to deeply on what we're trying to do. Its open for discussion.
If interested on helping, IM me. We could talk further on what we're trying to achieve, and I can direct you to the facebook group.
