Every rom that i port to my htc 616 (mtk 6592) get stucked into "Android is upgrading-starting apps" .I've followed many tuts but all are in vain.
I've tried porting some rom from lennovo s939,jiayu g4s ,zopo zp998. These all devices are mtk 6592 based ported . But i am not successfull.
Now what can i do ? Can anyone help me?

It simply means , the ported apps is not supporting on your device ( may be the different sig . and due to other reasons so) . Copy framework-Res.apk and other apks in system/framework folder from the rom(which is used for porting ) to the ported rom . May be that will work .

i tried this bro but that didn't work. still the same problem. i don't know how they successfully ported lewa & miui.
Hey Pal, SORRY I hadn't seen your req on my thread till now, but now I'm here,
There's numerous problems which can cause that,
Simple, Fix is Wipe Data, Cache, Dalvik (reboot)
Others fixes need little information from you, so if you still want to know, tell me

tried, seems to be very buggy, something in chinese is poping out for every 5 sec. i quickly removed but i manage take some screen shots (sorry for picture quality they r not clear)

Can anyone send across me the original splash screen file(splash_rs.img) or (splash.img).
I searched mannually for the file which which contain the splash screen, but not able to get, if anyone knows that file then please do let me know.
Or else if anyone get the originall Karbonn A9+ ROM, then please forward that to my mail ID.
I googled a lot for both the thing..... But not able to find.

everything worked out well (message displayed .. installation success). but after reboot, my phone stuck at the Intel Xolo logo screen. i have tried reinstalling the rom several times, but always stuck on the Intel Xolo logo screen. please help me to get past this.
i have also made backup of the original rom and it restores quite easily. but when i try installing this custom rom, it stucks at logo screen again. please help me.

actually, i was pretty much amazed by the features that developer described.... however i know the capabilities of the hardware on Xolo A700. but then again i thought let's just give it a try..
as i stated earlier in my above post that i made a backup of the system before installing custom rom.(m not stupid person)
i just restored the backup and my phone is working perfectly.( thanks to good lord)
actually i love the ICS stock rom. stock is the best.

@Ankur Yadav : please donot comment on other peoples work when you havent tried them. We put in a lot of effort in porting roms for unsupported device and if u cant appreciate it please dont make a mockery out of it. Its only visually modded to jb.....
And for langiage just change it from indonasian to english from settings

i can see its a modded jellybean... follow my screen shots to get to the language settings..
goto settings>lang. and input>FIRST OPTION!
U could recognise menus by icons... look at the screens..

U ll have to search for a custom rom of ur device or similar devices..
And then port(here, simple copy & paste) the apks from system/app folder in the root of that custom rom to ur port rom.

bro... i m all tried this... as a example m using canvas 2 (MT6577 chip set mobile) now i want to port samsung S3 apps... as u say i do... it will not working.... as u knw some apps have some files in system in folder like framework , bin something like this... so how i port those apps ????

Those apps need to be checked for the links that they have with the framework, bin, lib files.. i am not well versed in it so not sure
BTW are trying to port s3's stock system apps? They would have to be deodexed first in order to port them in ur custom rom.
That too in case if these devices have similar specs including screen size.

And search for uses library,
And grab those lib files from s3 to the canvas2 to respective folder

I'm windows user. so I know only windows program.
it is just in my case. someone said use other apps.
soneone go into trouble. rooting by your own risk.
you can't claim anyone.
search & download
1.vRoot
2.supersu 1.94 zip version
3.easy installer twrp for mtk device
1&3 windows
2 android. keep it at sd.
1. root by vroot
2. install twrp
3. go into recovery & flash supersu, reboot.
4. open supersu, update su bynary, delete vroot.
in my case, supersu after 1.94 makes our device su bynary update loop. you can check this matter at xda.

Kudos to user maxritz, I tried his port of Xolo Q1010i's KitKat onto my Lenovo S930 and it worked like a charm!
The only thing that is not working is the Camera app, I keep getting "Can't connect to the camera". I tried other apps (like the Google Camera) but to no avail.
The ROM is not rooted, so I can't freeze apps at the moment.
Any help with the camera would be greatly appreciated!

I did not manage to get the Camera app working with maxritz's Xolo ROM.
As such, I installed on my S930 another KitKat ROM downloaded from NeedROM ("VanillaKK") and this one worked perfectly, including the camera.

you can use your stock s930 libs for it. if it doesnt work then you need to ensure you edit the init.rc to setup the correct camera lines.
