Hello Everybody , I saw a lot of porting tutorials like changing boot.img and build.prop and updater-script i have changed all of those and still the ported rom wont boot can anyone tell me an exact guide on how to port a ROM ?

Hello ! Here is a small question that I have..
While making a C-ROM for a device I notice the META-INF folder .. Now how does one go about making this folder and also can anyone guide me on the updater-script.. I am very keen in making ROMS for devices and hence I would like to learn as much as possible !

I`m try to porting MIUI v5 3.11.29 to lenovo a1000, after booting i have a rotated touchscreen! Editing a build.prop has no effect! Changing files in the folder lib/hw has no effect. Adding the mtk-tpd.idc has no effect! Have you any idea to rotate touchscreen?

Guys! Don't loose hope! post problem. may bugs are fixable by other devs!
Every rom that i port to my htc 616 (mtk 6592) get stucked into "Android is upgrading-starting apps" .I've followed many tuts but all are in vain.
I've tried porting some rom from lennovo s939,jiayu g4s ,zopo zp998. These all devices are mtk 6592 based ported . But i am not successfull.
Now what can i do ? Can anyone help me?

It simply means , the ported apps is not supporting on your device ( may be the different sig . and due to other reasons so) . Copy framework-Res.apk and other apks in system/framework folder from the rom(which is used for porting ) to the ported rom . May be that will work .

i tried this bro but that didn't work. still the same problem. i don't know how they successfully ported lewa & miui.

There's numerous problems which can cause that,
Simple, Fix is Wipe Data, Cache, Dalvik (reboot)
Others fixes need little information from you, so if you still want to know, tell me

I ported lewa os rom from mt6582 to mt6572...
But whenever i flash the rom the boot logo or animation is not coming,I don't know the reason but I have tried severeal guides and method's and even tried editing a lot of things in boot.img but it didn't helped... Please help me to solve this issue...

Hey guys ,i want to make an custom rom for my device. I am using android kitchen. I do everything right to make an flashable zip. I watch many tutorials and read many threads but that not works for me in twrp recovery it cannot flash. Can somebody told me why this error occurs. I have no idea regarding building a rom but i think it's updater script error....
