Custom ROM, Camera problem.

Hi, everyone. I porting some Custom ROM. All are ok. But i have a problem alomst every ROM. The camera can not work. How Can i fix the problem? It looks like the problem is lack of driver. How can i find the driver for the camera from the stock ROM? I really need help. Who can help me? Thanks in advance. Sorry my poor English, My question is How to fix the bug after porting ROM. may be someone can give me the link. Thank you

thank you for your reply. I ported ZTE V970 android 4.0 ROM to lenovo S720. Because I have a custom ROM from XDA, it support multilanguage.
After I install it from SD card. it work will except the Camera and FM. other functions are all ok. Can you tell me how to fix the problem or Tell me how to find the driver. Because I don't which .so document the camera need. Thank you very much

If Your Stock Android Version and The Ported A. V. Are The Same Then U Can Easily Use Ur Stock Camera libs
But if those aren't same then I don't knw cuz its a non-popular brand.

Thank you. I think i understood U. The Storck ROM and The Ported have the same version. They are allo Android 4.0.4. And they have almost the same hardware configuration. But Only Camera and FM don't work well. Then how can I search for Which libs The Camera need? Because I don't the the Camera hardware version. So i can not down load it. I must find out the libs from The Stock ROM. Can you tell me what should I do? How can i find the Missing libs inside the Ported ROM?

Copy lib of the ROM you're porting
Stock lib won't work ............up have to flash it
Don't just copy using root explorer

Even I faced the same problem with most of the custom roms.

Same here I was porting all Micromax A116 ROMs into Gionee Elife E3... each and everything working fine except camera... can any one help please....!

How to install Customs Roms On Gionee Elife E3 Indian Firmware

Hi Gionee E3 owners,
So in this Thread I will be discussing How to install Customs Roms On Gionee Elife E3 Indian Firmware.
Tested it myself on my Gionee Elife E3 with S/W Ver :- E3_0102_V5715
First u need to root ur phone & Flash CWM RECOVERY
For ROOTING INSTRUCTIONS go to this one or this one
And for Flashing CWM RECOVERY go to this one or this one
Now after u root ur Phone & done with flashing of CWM RECOVERY, Now time to flash Customs Rom.
In order to work Custom Roms on Indian Firmware
READ AND FOLLOW THE WHOLE PROCEDURE..!!!
1. Download any Custom Rom which is made for Gionee Elife E3
2. After d/l need to delete some files from Custom Rom & replace it with Stock Rom Files.
3. Files needs to delete from Custom Rom
4. Delete boot.img
5. Delete firmware folder from system\etc
6. Delete agps_profiles_conf & apns-conf file from system\etc
7. Delete modules folder from system\lib
8. Delete sensors.default.so & hwcomposer.mt6589.so file from system\lib\hw (hw folder)
9. Now copy all the things from ur stock rom to custom rom to there respective folders.
10. Now ur done.. Falsh it & enjoy...
Note:- Never unzip the Custom Rom.

i am on chinese firmware so i dont need these much stuff to replace but why for indian firmware

Bro there is no custom rom which support Indian firmware so in order to work the custom rom u have to replace these files.
That is why people flash Chinese firmware & who are on Chinese firmware do not need to do that.
About the files i can provide u but gionee use two different s/w ver so its better every one should use there own stock rom files.

thanks for reply anyways now i am in confusion
when i flashed chinese firmware 1.2 and tried to update i got update 1.13
now i flashed 1.8 through recovery on top of 1.2 again i checked for update it is showing me update 3.0
what should i do???

you must use your stock rom boot.img
just make cwm backup once
you will find boot.img in clockworkmod folder in your phone storage

This time i am unable to take nandroid backup in CWM 6.0.2.8. Whenever i tried to take backup it says "can't' mount /data" after backing up the system. I have checked my SD card, it is a class 4 Toshiba 4GB in FAT32 format and free space is 100%. Any solution?

many has faced this problem i suggest you ask person whose recovery you are using

It would be better not o. You dont have a custom recovery, so you cannot back up. If you are bricked, you do not have the stock rom zip,\.

I have replaced the systemui.apk file from the system app folder.
Now the notification bar is gone. Can you help with this.

Not able to install any recovery on Panasonic p11. Stuck at entry QPST download. Even if I boot into recovery the installation gets aborted. I have replaced my systemui.apk. Now not able to receive calls and any notifications. I see the cherry mobile flare 2.0 is a similar device just like this one. Please help me in installing a rom on this or just help fixing the notification bar problem.

Hey I know this may be a bit late.. But this is what I have done
Installed ROM toolkit.. Reboot to recovery ...and I managed to make a back up.. The system was already roooted and few modifications were done.
I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to get into the recovery without using ROM toolkit..

To get into recovery mode in a Panasonic T11 just power on your device while holding down the volume up and power key. A green screen will appear. Keep holding both the keys...do not release them till the screen turns red.

Or could you give me a google search key to find the stock rom, plus will I have to run GNQC in windows xp/7 as it ain't running on 8.

Sorry mate for late reply, that rom worked like a charm. Thanks for the suggestions I also updated it to kitkat. But I should warn others that after the kitkat update annonymous SMSes were sent to an Indian number resulting in my balance being zeroed. I stopped those vulnerabilities with 360 antivirus. Apart from that everything is okay, cheers.

[DISCUSSION][DEV] Acer Liquid Z530, Z530S, Z630 & Z630S development

Hi,
I'm creating this thread to gather development informations about Acer Liquid Z530 and 630 series.
I own the Z530, right now it's nearly impossible impossible to install Custom roms on the device.
The bootloader seems to be locked by default, I tried to unlock it but ported roms can't still boot.
the "fastboot oem device-info" always ends with error. It says command not found.
I also tried to compile custom kernel but the process always failed because of erros that I can't fix right now.
I'm trying to port CM12.1 from Blackview Alife P1. The first attempt failed even after patching the boot.img (to use stock zImage with cm12.1 ramdisk). I also tried to compile a cm12.1 compatible kernel using sources provided by Acer and Cyanogenmod toolchain; it ended with erros as said before.
I suspect the bootloader to be the problem. If any of you guys have a solution, tip, suggestion etc. please comment.

To enable unlocking, an option is available in developer options.

hi sir i have acer z530 and i rooted my and after that phone was stuck on boot logo and even after im done with hard reset still not working, do i need to install flashtool for my phone, dont exactly how to it , i want to make sure that i will add another problem, please help .. thanks

Flash it on original stock rom via Sp flash tool it ill done successfully device works normally ... Im already tried....:laugh:
