cheers

Cm12
I download the cm12 builds as a backup and have never flashed it to my maxx, but still only stick to the stock ROM... How is cm12s battery life on the maxx? Is it close to stock with almost 2 days?

Is dirty flash on CM11 data still needed on 01/20 build?

Which recovery is required to flash

I'm struggling with the "which recovery" question as well. Cyanogenmod seems to recommend Clockworkmod but I can't find what I'm confident is a current version of CWM to flash. I installed the "ghost" patch so I could get newer upgrades of CM11, then installed PhilZ Touch. That worked fine for 4.4.4 but won't flash official versions of CM12.

At the moment, only CM12 recovery is supported (SE Linux issues): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58108872&postcount=114 (since it lack other features, I recommend just fastboot flash it before you flash CM12).

Check it out, u can flash recoveries from your phone, the free version allows 3 x's a day, but the donate version is $1.99 I think and then u get unlimited.

I have issue: Dialer and Messaging don't take name from Phonebook, just show number and offers to add to contacts. Phone number in contact and in Dialer/Messaging is exactly the same.
Nightly from 22.
Am I alone in this?)

I want to really try it on my ultra. I just get tired of trying Roms after Roms

I converted latest ghost TWRP into obake (all Droid Mini / Ultra / MAXX), but didn't really test it out (well, there is too little difference between ghost / obake; just the props ). Attached. Use at your own risk.

Could it have something to do with the patch? The phone works but I can't restore any previous backups because of md5 missmatch.
Works nicely on my wife's phone. Very fast and smooth. Thank you for your work on this! Looking forward to your ICS rom.. but she's not as tech savy, so I'll wait until that's a bit more stable.
My Mercury got stuck at the Huawei logo. When I pressed Vol + and vol - while pushing the power button would get me to a pink screen.
I choose install zip from SD card and chose your zip then got an error. Kinda spooked about doing it again. I took it to a local dealer and he fixed it (have no idea what he did) I'm assuming that he pressed Vol + and hit the power button silly me I never figured that out I read it but it never sunk in.
Now my problem is No matter what I try I cant get into custom recovery with the phone buttons it just starts normally. Is it ok to start custom recovery from Clockwork mod application? I can get there just fine. Little freaked that I might soft brick it again. Any idea what they did to unbrick it? I did have ADB setup last year when I rooted it. If so I need to reinstall Linux
stats:
build number M866V100R001C156B861SP05
kernel version 2.6.35-7perf
Android version 2.3.5
Baseband version 404020
Thanks..

on download page, got them up now
got a quick question for ya...
I've run 2 or 3 different ROMS on this phone already (BoostMobile version).
they've all installed correctly & worked as described in their respective threads.
the only mod I couldn't get to work on stock was the Faux kernel
(although it did work on the other ROMs).
what are the differences in ROMs (other than GSM vs. CDMA)
ie.: 1031-1034 ?
Thanks
I actually activated this w/ RingPlus as a spare phone, been working great.
Not much besides connection gsm/CDMA most or all of hardware is same.

Seems to run smooth, just installed and am currently testing on a Boost Mobile Moto G. I will report back with any issues. Thank you!
EDIT: DSP Manager crashing while using Google Music. I had this issue on the Paranoid Android rom as well.

Hmm, anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?
First of all I started with stock rooted 4.4.
I booted to recovery (CWM) and factory reset, wiped cache, formatted system, data and cache and wiped Dalvik. Installed CM11, installed GAPPS and rebooted. Did this a couple times and I keep getting stuck on the cyanogenmod boot logo. Any ideas?

First boot can take a while, just give it some time it should boot up once it gets done creating the dalvik-cache for apps in the system...
I let it sit for at least a half hour and it was still stuck on the boot logo.

I flashed this Rom on an Ntelos SM900R7 (Same model) and it booted and functions fine. The only Rom I've found which flashed and immediately provided wireless, data, and all features upon boot.I did notice it did not install any kernel, I was running the Ktoonsez SGS5 10/17/14 kernel which remained upon completing flash.
The only small hiccup I experienced was upon completion I could not boot into recovery, I re-nstalled recovery and all is fine.
Great work SPJESTER.....keep um coming.

The rom installed and maintained root, I believe the ability to upgrade this Rom has been removed by the removal of OTA updates. It's my understanding if your running a rooted rom and accept an upgrade you loose the root. Good luck.
Updated. Fixed a little issue with partition number

Yea, you will want to install TWRP recovery to flash.. However, you also have a few options for much newer ROMs. There is a CM available for both OS 6.0.1 (CM13) and OS7.1.1 (CM14, AKA LinageOS).
Older CM13

Newer LinageOS and currently officially under constant development:

[MOD] [Moto E] [Flashable Zip] Dalvik + Bionic Lib Optimization

"We now have Qualcomm-Optimized Dalvik Libraries thanks to recent Moto X"
I found this in the Nexus 5 forums. It improves benchmarks and in most cases makes the phone seem smoother. Enjoy.
How To:
1. Flash Bionic
2. Flash Dalvik
3. Reboot
Flash in recovery. Completely undo-able, no partition wipe occurs when flashing.
Note: Only tested on XT-1022 Stock 4.4.4
Do a Nandroid Backup first
What does this do?: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47913987
TO UNDO:
- Flash the stock lib zip.
or
- Reflash system partition.
Test ZIP for CyanogenMod 11 added please Test and Report
Don't forget to hit thanks!
I am not responsible for any damage to your device, do not claim.
Special thanks: Lethargy and jphilippon

I'm running stock 4.4.4 on my xt1023 and I actually saw a slight decrease in performance. I was really hoping it would help because this worked great on my Nexus7 last year.
Stock
With MotoX Bionic/Dalvik
All I'm going to say is that this works wonderfully well as opposed to stock! A simple before and after test with linpack proved about 40mflop increase, this coming from a kernel/android developer and RHCE with over.20 years experience in Linux hacking/dev.. I am surprised this mod has so few comments.
Tested using pac latest nightly with shocksgen kernel. No probs at all.. Also it's probably important for folks to know this combo is with the US Cellular XT1019 cdma only variant.
P.S. maybe we should steal some more of the libs from the latest moto x sources

All the .zip flashes is a few .so libs, download the stock zips just in case something does go wrong, but pretty sure it won't

All you have to do is flash only qc-cm11-test zip if you're using CM11, no other flashables.
However, I didn't see any improvement in benchmark result in Geekbench3.

Doesn't make sense you got a boot loop and I didn't, but sorry for misinformation.. I did read op from what you posted, still seems dalvik is also needed for the full improvement while the bionic isn't necessary. However with pac nightly latest using all 3 was an improvement and DID NOT result in a boot loop for me.

I tryed it on my XT1021 stock rom 4.4.4, Bionic lib makes benchs worse, dalvink realy I cant say, so I reflashed stock Bionic lib, but left dalvik lib, for trying
Tested
Works fine on cm11 unofficial nightly...........Thanks :good:

You don't need to flash other kernel or modem.. it works fine on my end with latest lollipop modem and bootloader, just follow the instructions in the OP [emoji2]
