[Completed] Most powerful email client and task manager for Android for multiple users - XDA Assist

I made a topic earlier but can't find same
This is our existing office email setup:
We are a team of 7 people in our Office (domain = myoffice.com)
Each one of us uses an office email address like:
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
etc.
We also manage a group of websites (Web Publishing Business) on different domains (site1.com, site2.com, site3.com, site4.com). Each one of us agian has email addresses on those above sites like:
[email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
[email protected], [email protected]
[email protected], [email protected]
[email protected]
We have around 7 active websites in all at present, and on few places we have upto 3 different email addresses too like:
[email protected], [email protected], [email protected] etc.
Our Problem:
1. At present we manually login to each websites server and check our emails, which is very time consuming and we have to login multiple times a day
2. We cannot search for our important emails from 1 central place
3. There is lot of trouble manging different mail boxes and even the userinterface (horde) given our hosting provider is very obsolate.
4. Everyone has to always remember passwords and urls for this multiple email accounts when they want to access emails from other places (not in office)
5. Many times we receive spam in our mailbox, all our sites are not configured to tackle spam/virus etc.
6. We are not able to use Calendars, task sharing, etc. features which can add to productivity.
Our Requirement:
1. We need a best robust/automated/flexible email solution.
2. BEST Antivirus and Spam control are required
3. We need a centralized place where we can configure our main office email and also add other mail accounts to same like: [email protected] + [email protected] + [email protected] + [email protected]
4. We should also be able to add/import emails from our personal email accounts like hotmail/gmail/yahoo
5. We want to have a calendar/tasks/todo list kind of system which can allow us to:
- Everyone can add tasks to there own personal/public calendars
- Our boss can add tasks to our office calendar + our calendars
- Our boss should be able to keep a track of tasks/work assigned to staff and staff should be able to report back about same.
- We should get reminders/alerts in email or mobile about new tasks assigned to us, nearing deadline of tasks etc.
6. We should be able to access all this emails from all email accounts from 1 central place (a websiteurl)
7. Ability to send/receive emails in from mobile/tablets will be great
How System should work:
1. Our Administrator should be able to create accounts like [email protected] [email protected] from 1 central location.
2. Administrator should be able to add a office calendar, where we can add tasks assigned by boss to each uers and track its progress too.
3. Each users like [email protected] should be able to add other email accounts like [email protected] [email protected] to its own main account and access the same from a centralize location.
4. All staff members should also be allowed to add new tasks to there own calenars, todo lists etc.
MS Outlook 2010 integration will also be a very good added advantage, where we can keep a copy of message inside office PC and home PC. When we use Outlook 2010 from office or home, and delete any emails from any above email accounts, it should also get deleted from respective domains server.
This is all I think, so far about our requirements, please let me know if there is a solution, we are at present a team pof 7 people in office.

Hi,
All I can suggest is checking related apps on the play store. You can ask about it here,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
But you seem to be asking for a fairly complicated solution... You may be overestimating the capabilities of a phone app.
Perhaps I'm wrong, so feel free to ask in the section I linked.
Good luck!

Can you suggest me 2 different applications for this.
I am looking for solutions either paid or free

I've never used such apps. Again, ask where I've suggested, or try a google search... Or browse relevant apps on the play store. ?

Can you please move my topic there

We keep Assist threads here, you can copy your opening post contents and make a new thread in the section I linked. ?

Different google account for gmail and market possible?

On the G1, is there a way to use a different gmail account for email/contacts from the one for Android Market access? I want to keep my junk-free personal email address separate from my commercial email address that I use for purchases and registrations.
I don't think so, but why would you want to? I haven't registered anything from the Market, but even if I did, Gmail makes stuff like that simple. Just make a new label and forward all emails from certain addresses there.
Also, with one of the major email spamming networks shut down (McColo), spams dropped like.... 75%.
In G1 Contact book you can filter the Address Book to any Group or Create a new Group in Google and only Place Person wanna contact into that Group this will solve the problem on Junk in Contact list

Send email programmatically using user account

I want to be able to send an email out of my app, based on the user pressing a button on my app's Activity. The email needs to be sent automatically by the application upon button press, i.e. I dont want to show another email form to the user. And the email should be sent ***using the user's default email account on the phone*** not an email account that I hardcode into my app. And I dont want to have the user key in their email credentials into my app's configuration, I just want to be able to call some android api and say "send this email with this subject and body to this email address, using the default account that the user has set up on the phone".
Is this possible? If so, how?
thanks
Jay
Haven't tried it myself but using the SEND_TO intent might be a good place to start experimenting. Documentation is a bit lean on usage though.

secQ.me - new security tracking app for Android

Hi all
When emergency occur, most of mobile tracking application in the market require individual to take out their phone, and trigger a panic button to call for help, however, when facing emergency, we often found individual does not have the capacity to call for help, as user:
in panic mode
being force in unwanted situation
force to turn off their phone.
What is there is a service that will automatically trigger for help without any action from user? Even user force to turn off their phone?
secQ.me is a new way of protecting individual (especially for woman and children) by ofter them a "virtual" guardian angel that watch over them, should they being force in any unwanted situation, or in emergency, our service will automatically notify user's friend and family via email and SMS. User's friend and family could also track their latest location, voice message, picture (if user has register any picture, such as Taxi Driver, or someone she just meet) from our portal.
We like to invite XDA members to try out our app, go to Android Market, and search "secq.me", and download
Here's are the steps to activate and use our services
1) Register your account from the Android App or our Portal at secQ.me
2) An activation email will send to your email account, click the activation link
3) Once activated, login to our portal, and configure your emergency contacts, and your SNS (Facebook & Twitter) setting
4) Verify secQ.me Android app by key in your email and your register event pin
5) Start using the services
BTW, all new sign up account will have 10 sms credits, which is use for notification purpose..
Please note that at this Moment the SMS credit is only valid for Malaysia Mobile Number (btw, I am from Malaysia).. We are currently working with a international SMS GW provider to support SMS to most of countries
Appreciate your feedback and comments about our service
Thanks!
James Khoo

Get "Google Inbox" activated NOW, free!

# MESSAGE FOR MODERATORS #
The following, DISPOSABLE Gmail email addressed were created by me - JUST NOW - for the SOLE purpose of spreading Google Inbox invites. I DO NOT use the addresses, I DO NOT CARE if they get spam, there are solely for generating Google inbox invites. They have passwords NOTHING LIKE my own password, and fake credentials. Please, PLEASE DO NOT remove the email addresses in this post, as - again - they are EMPTY, do not contain ANY contacts or contact info, many thanks.
Here - these two (disposable) Gmail accounts have just been created, and are Google Inbox activated and ready. All you need to do is add one of these accounts to your Android device (turn off ALL SYNC on the temporary account, if I were you), then launch (or install then launch) Google Inbox app ON THE ANDROID DEVICE, then go to Inbox app, and "Settings >> Manage Accounts" and select YOUR Gmail account, then REMOVE the disposable account from your device(s), as YOU are now Google Inbox activated on YOUR account. So, here are the credentials needed:
username #1: [email protected]
password: "sillypassword"
username #2: [email protected]
password: "sillypassword"
If you can't understand what I mean about switching accounts, read this:

Enjoy
Didn't work for me, as soon as I switch accounts, as directed, within inbox, I get the "you don't seem to have an invite yet" message.

Yep double checked it again, from scratch, no dice. Well thanks for the effort. If anyone DOES get this to work, PM me if you have a moment with some insight.
Hi, I think its best you just delete those accounts as I couldnt login without answer a security question.
I thanked you for trying to help. Keep up the good work.

Switching does not work
The switching trick dosent work although the given ID and password worked.
P.S the first id was already changed by some one
Okay folks, it appears my plan didn't quite work out. The reason I didn't directly say "Hey, I have a load of invites to give away - come and get them" is because:
#1 My personal email address is private and I don't want a flood of strangers begging me for invites, via it.
#2 Refer to #1.
Sorry it didn't work out. I have given one invite out, but I'm sure a little patience will do you ALL good, and strengthen your characters. In this instant gratification world, it's extremely healthy and edifying to learn that you cannot ALWAYS get EVERYTHING at the click of a button. I had to wait a week for my invite (hard life, isn't it) so I suppose many of you will have to do that too. Patience is a virtue, so learn to be virtuous.
God bless, take care.
@glossywhite
do you know gmail has a option that saves the IP address of the most recent computer visited GMAIL ID. It can compromise anybody security. :good:
Anyone that is still interested in getting any invites can feel free to check out the main thread for them located here:

[APP][4.0.3+] Quiet for Gmail - Block email notifications

Hi,
I was looking for an app to block notifications during weekends for some email accounts but I couldn't, so I've developed one.
It allows you to create a schedule so you can avoid work email notification in your free time.
In addition to that, it also allows you to override your schedule temporarily for special events like a day off.
I could have switched to another email client but I was happy with the official Gmail app.
How does it work?
Well, it just toggles the synchronization on/off based on the schedule you define within the app.
In order to discover the email accounts in your device I need to use the GET_ACCOUNTS permission. Sadly, it belongs to the CONTACTS group starting Android 6. Please, tell me if you find a way to work around this.
I'm sorry but I can't post the link yet, but you can find the app on Google Play, just search for "Quiet for Gmail"
I hope you find it useful and I'm looking forward to getting some feedback from you :fingers-crossed:
