Hello,
Have the strangest problem. Have been using the shield in combination with an AX88178 Ethernet adapter without any problems. Sometimes out of the blue, when the shield is idling and physically attached to the network my network dies. The second I disconnect the shield, everything is well again.
I can't successfully recreate this problem, but it happens every blue moon. I contacted the vendor and replaced the Ethernet adapter, but that did not help, the problem randomly occurred even after the replacement.
The last time this happened I took a look at the adapter and the "blinkie lights" were amber and blinking like crazy... which seems to indicate network package collisions... but there is nothing going on, no activity on the shield. Once I wake the shield and browse, everything is fine again.
Is there a hardware logging program on the play store anybody knows of? "aLogcat" did not log anything. I would like to get to the bottom of this problem. Anybody have this problem? Am I the only one? :crying::crying::crying:
Thanks for any input,

Hi. I bought Bee Link X5II for my tv. I had connect it to my computer upgrade it to new firmware, put all needed aps into it, I test it for couple days and everything was ok. After that I connect it to my tv and I started to use ir control that was included. After couple seconds it got messy. When I select some button, it suspend / f.ex when i select left: instead of jump on next icon on launcher it goes maximum left, stops on last icon and hangs. I tried also with universal tv remote and it is the same- something is wrong with infrared but I dont know what. when I use keyboard, or mouse everything is ok.
How can I resolve this problem? I dont know is it hardware or rom that causes that. Maybe there is some apk that I can use to assign buttons?
hi,
you should buy a bluetooth mini keyboard with touchpad anyway.

Actually I found the problem, but I dont know how to resolve it. I took my android tv to second room where I have my main computer and I was using it whole day with ir remote ( no problems). Later I plug in to my computer and downgrade firmware just to be sure it is not a bug in it. Again I was using it whole day ( with remote) and there was again even one problem. Next day I took it to my living room and start it. After just a few clicks on remote my android tv gone crazy again... I have no idea what is the problem in my room ( i live in apartment block). I turn off wifi in my router to check is it going to be better, but without succes...
How can I resolve this problem???
Hello there folks,
I notice that the touch input of my One E8 behaves weird while charging. It responds to some other input for a specific input. For instance when I'm unlocking my phone and I press 3, 8 or 9 is taken as the input, or when I press send on WhatsApp, the menu gets activated.
The issue is not specific to any app and is seen in general throughout the phone while charging. What is strange is that I see this issue only while charging from a USB charger either connecting it to the wall plug or a USB port on my PC (happens in both cases).
I also have a charger that has a direct cable (no USB port) and if I charge with this, I don't see this problem. Any one else seeing this strange issue? Any solutions to this?
Thanks in advance

Touch issues occur when the phone receives an incorrect amount of voltage (usually high) from the supply while charging. It's best suggested to use the supplied charger or one of similar readings to not encounter such issue.
Hello there,
I see the problem with the supplied charger even if I connect the cable to a USB port on my PC. But I don't see the problem on a Samsung charger which is a direct one (not having a USB connectivity).

Leonard

i have the same problem. i turned on pointer position from developers menu and ghost touches appear mainly near the app drawer icon location. it stays like this until i lock and unlock the phone. also while typing pressing the space bar presses another letter with it. it's almost impossible to type anything. this problem appeared just today without changing anything or installing new apps.
Having a weird issue with my GS6. Unrooted and has been working perfectly. The other day I noticed when I plug the charger in, the screek flickers and goes black & some female voice starts rabbiting on about Gear VR. My phone stays in a black screen, doesnt respond to anything and only works when i force off & turn back on. I then check the open applications & Gear VR Setup Wizard is the first app thats open. Checked in application manager, won't let me disable these (options greyed out).
Any ideas? Tried clearing cache, yet to try a backup & full reset as phone does not want to connect to computer either. Still charges when connected, just doesn't show up in the file manager.
I have the same issue with my device.. what did you do with yours ?

I managed to figure it out. Basically it was down to a metal frame type case I had on my phone at the time. When this case was on & the cable was plugged in, it must have caused some sort of short when the metal from the cable made contact with the metal case, tricking the device into thinking there was the galaxy gear vr headset attatched.
I removed the case. Now every time I plug in, the phone charges normally. Every time I plug it into the pc, the file manager shows up. Back to normal operation & no other signs of the Gear VR application.
TLDR: Metal frame cases interfere with the micro usb cable connection.
I took it to service and they changed the charging port. It was still in warranty period. Now everything is back to normal. I hope it stays this way..
So i've had this with two phones now (currently using an S10). At work I use Google Messages for Web to have my texts appear on my web browser. However, it randomly will sit there and say it can't connect or needs to reconnect. If I turn on the phone for like a little and check it, it usually reconnects fine, or If I leave the phone plugged into a charger it will also pretty much never have the issue.
Is there any simple solution for this or why for instance plugging into power would solve this? It's not like I have data disabled, it works probably most of the time with the screen off it's like it diverts power from the antenna though with the screen off and unplugged.
Hi all does anyone else have an issue with apple carplay showing pixilation and artefacts on the screen?
Seller is not much help with this issue.
did you resolve the issue? does restart the head unit help?
No couldn’t resolve the problem. Restarting the headunit or phone would clear it but it kept coming back. I’ve since changed to a Teyes cc3 and haven’t had the issue
Thanks for the quick reply, I have the same pixilation problem, not as bad as yours, still useable. just want to check if there's any solution
I did try everything but just couldn’t sort it. Not much on the internet about it but some merc users had it but was fixed with a reboot of the phone.
There is a lot to find about "apple carplay pixelation" on the apple forums like "I pressed the home button and then Apple car play again and the screen went back to normal without losing the route map." Of course this is only a work-around.
Next to that: keep an eye on new releases of the carlink app. The latest version (multiple links in this forum) solves a lot of issues.
Thank you. I did try multiple versions and the seller was sending updated carlink apks but none worked. I also bought a dongle which showed the same issue unless the software was set to software mode and not hardware. Once I did that the CarPlay screen wasn’t as high res but didn’t show any pixelation.
Mine freaked out like that a few times.
I made sure it wasn't on Satellite view, used 5G wifi, and it mostly took care of it. sometimes all it took to clear was pulling down the menu on the head unit or dismissing the lower menu bar or similar.

And you both tried it on wireless and via USB?
I can imagine that wireless is the nicest one, but if a USB cable solves "everything", I would still use it. Maybe not for a 5 minute drive, but certainly for over an hour. It takes just as much time to connect/disconnect as to use one of the work-arounds during the trip (and maybe multiple times).
Yeah tried wireless 2.4ghz, 5ghz and wired with different cables.

Mine never connected via USB. I think only one of my USBs alllows that, and I chose the wrong one when piping it through to the front camera (i'd have to connect to it behind the glovebox)
I don't use carplay anymore since getting a DPI changer to make google maps actually usable on the screen. Before it was too small. wish I could set resolution by app or some kind of zoom mode for maps.
I agree about the dpi. I’ve changed mine to around 622 so that apps are more useable on the road.

Yeah, I had that too. Mine has 3 USB connections, but one seems not functional (or is that one the OTG? I did not even try, to be honest). 2 are in the glovebox and the 3rd behind the glovebox connected to my DAB+ antenna.
