The WinDroid Toolkit is a Windows program built in Visual Studio using the C# programming language that simplifies the rooting process for many Android devices. The toolkit makes it easy to unlock your bootloader, flash a custom recovery and gain permanent root. It also includes other functions such as flashing kernels, pushing files and installing apps. htc desire 820 dual-sim (D820u) device bought in india. will this be supported?
made a request at the above url. some screenshots:

The toolkit does support the dual sim Desire 820. There's more specific instructions on how to use the toolkit on the central WinDroid thread as well.
On spreadsheet there is only mention about d820u, a Desire 820 dual-sim version. Does it mean Desire 820 with single SIM is supported?
Sorry for offtopic, but i have 2nd question: How about Stock RUUs for 820 SingleSIM version? Is there any? Maybe I just can't see it.
I'm use this toolkit and my device not dual sim model. I'm not unlock bootloader in last step. Every steps working. but last step To think that successful Please fix unlock bootloader mode. And sorry for my bad english

The toolkit supports both the single and dual SIM variants. I don't anything about RUUs though, sorry.

Try rebooting manually into Fastboot/Bootloader mode then try the Unlock Bootloader step again.

are the chances of this toolkit doing it's job affected by upgrading os ( jb --> kk or kk --> lp)?
has anyone with lollipop succeeded in rooting and installing custom recovery using this toolkit?

The Android version has no effect on the phone's ability to unlock and root. :good:
OTA updates
Hope this is the right thread to post in! Will this windroid toolkit tell us how to unroot my htc desire 820 dual sim as well? Or can someone tell me how to get OTA updates(lollipop arriving!!) for the 820 and still keep root?

hello this is wrong it think. i managed to install twrp and root my htc d820u while on kitkat. but when i tried to install on lollipop the twrp will just give me a black screen. concerning root it i could not test because the phone reboots to the twrp black screen.. the twrp is responding though, i think it's an incompatibility problem with lollipop.

WinDroid Toolkit v3.0 has been released! It's a huge update with a material redesign, major recode and support for 43 new devices!

You can download the new update here.
All versions before v3.0 will not have their files updated anymore since I've moved from hosting on BasketBuild to Amazon S3. Please update to v3.0 to ensure you're getting the latest recovery and root files!

It's an update for m8sd
It's been made to fit m8sw, and some extra options
If you flash the 2nd zip in dev thread Google is enabled and your device will be World Wide English (WWE)

This rom is made for E8 my other rom is an M8 port

I experienced the same problem and resolved it using a task manager to kill all tasks. I use Omich Software's app.
Grant root permission to the app and click clear memory button. It has widgets for a single click clear, as well.
Some app or service should be putting a lock to wireless access or should not be terminating normally. Killing it whatever it is, resolves wireless problem. I'll dig this further when I have time and share if I can find anything useful.
I have a few questions regarding Android bootloader unlocking and relocking. Specifically, for the OnePlus 6. Can someone please direct me to the best forum where likely to get my questions answered. Info: I have successfully unlocked and rooted my phone via the TWRP Magisc method.
