All I can say is that my settings and everything on Milk (a Samsung-only music streaming app) carried over simply by logging in.

My bad, pm me your email address and I will send it to you or I will repost it in a couple hours
Updated, sorry peeps
It just doesn't work on Gingerbread apparently..
Also, samsung's taken it off of "Samsung Apps"..
Such an amazing app, its so less known!
Can't any developer help here? Please!
"apk" and the "desktop-application" file are both still available on the net,
and i strongly believe its just a minor bug(with the new camera) that's the problem, as the app runs fine(connects with desktop client and all) till the camera tries to load up

is there another app with same functions?
Hello Everyone!
So today I went online to the google play store to download an app, and noticed there was a random device (Samsung GT-I9300) showing up in the drop down menu. I went to device manager and it says it was registered 4 days ago with T-Mobile. There are a number of issues with this:
1) I'm on Telus
2) I don't own a Samsung GT-I9300.. I only own an htc one and nexus 7.
Both my htc one and nexus 7 show up in the list just fine, but there is still this random phone connected to my account. Should I be concerned? And if so, what should I do? Is there a way to remove it, not just hide it?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Did you edit your build.prop to try and change which device the Play Store thinks you have?

Then unless you've given access to someone knowingly, it would be a good idea to change your password.
I suppose you can contact Google after doing that and ask for more information.

This recently happened to me and freaked me out too. Until I did a bit of research and backtracked my timeline a bit. Turns out it was Bluestacks on windows. So if you recently installed and logged into your google account on the bluestacks player, this is the device that will be added.
I hope that helps any other future googlers

Hi, since your phones are Samsung I believe the app is related to Samsung Smart Tutor. So if you have deleted it don't worry as it is just an app to help you use your phone by allowing an assistant to show you how to.
Hope I could help :fingers-crossed:
Thank you so much for your quick reply hopefully you are right so thank you once again for your help

My 7 week old Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 G920VVRU4BOG9, android version 5.1.1. died yesterday for reasons unknown. It is now back on but has been wiped clean. I had to do what I believe is called a hard reset. I don’t care about anything else on this phone but I’m desperate to get back the pictures and videos. By any chance is it possible yet to recover deleted photos off of a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 (G920VVRU4BOG9)? I've been reading about it since yesterday and everything tells me I must root my phone; however, it looks like from what I am reading, even if I wanted to, I canNOT root my particular Verizon S6 model. None of the android data recovery tools appear to work without 1st rooting my phone.
I stupidly do not have a backup of my phone as I believed the VZW cloud was backing up all my data. It did not save my pictures/videos, only my contacts. Samsung tech support was worthless. I’ve disconnected the WIFI and have done almost nothing on the cell today except exchange a few necessary text messages and phone calls. I don’t want to chance overwriting anything if it can somehow be retrieved/salvaged.
I’ve tried Wondershare Dr Fone for Android, Asoftech Data Recovery, Kvisoft Data Recovery, Ease US data recovery. None have worked. Again, from what I’ve been reading, a rooted phone appears to be required in order to locate that lost data using recovery software. The problem seems to be VZW.
Anyhow, I appreciate anyone’s 2cents. If you happen to know of any Geek Squad-like, paid for services, I’m willing to pay someone to get these picture and videos back. Thank you so much for your time!
Did you have Google or Samsung or any other backup turned on?
Yes, I would check Google for a backup of your pictures. I'm assuming no Dropbox account.

I have a Samsung account so I can use the "find my phone" option in case of a lost or stolen phone. I asked them if they offer any cloud backup and the rep told me NO.
I do have a Google account and Google Drive as well. I couldn't find any of my pictures there though. I really appreciate your response though. Thank you!

I did check my Google account and unfortunately, none of my phone's pictures were in Google Drive. I do not have a dropbox account. Thank you very much for taking the time to respond though!

Try changing your search parameters in Google Play....seems I recall a co-worker having a similar issue that he was able to partially resolve using apps that were specifically for Picture recovery. If that doesn't work, you are to the "find someone who can pull stuff off flash memory" stage.

Thank you. I did try adding those apps- which is great to know they have those! Unfortunately, none of them worked for me. I'm still holding out hope but at the same time realizing the likelihood of getting those pictures back is very slim. Thanks again.

I did check there as well. I had a few pictures from 2014, but nothing recent. Thank you for the suggestion though!
I would install es file explorer on it and just go thru all the folders you can find. Even though you aren't rooted you can still copy files should you happen to find them or cache versions of them. You can copy you just can't modify or write to the system folders and such. I used this just yesterday to copy the launcher apk of my Moto Maxx 2 so I could copy out the stock wallpapers. Haha. Good luck.

A hard reset formats the user data partition. Those files are gone.
Hi,
If you open Galaxy App Store, you will see that yesterday, samsung has updated S-Voice.
Did you guys see it?
It may be a start for Bixby Voice?
Lorenzo
I updated but it didn't help Bixby.

Says not supported on my device and/or region. On T-Mobile S8+.
Strange, here in Germany it's working fine on a Galaxy S8 without branding.

Same here.
Which means we with T-Mobile devices don't get to use voice commands to answer or reject calls. One of my favorite features has been left out! WTF?!
Really REALLY not happy here... I use S-Voice CONSTANTLY.... I have (or had) the ICON on my desktop front and center... for years. Seriously use it 4 or 5 times a day to directions, to make calls, to make appointments. WTF ????
However... and this is the wierd part... It WAS on the phone until the latest update. I bought the phone Saturday.... migrated with switch from my S5... USED S-Voice Saturday evening... noticed an update had been postponed... did the update.... then S-Voice was gone. Again... I repeat... WTF????
I may be dead wrong and talking out of my a** here, but isn't Bixby supposed to replace S voice?

I believe that is what Samsung intends to do.
No S-Voice on Galaxy S-8+ which affects Gear Neo smart watch
I noticed that when I went to reply to a text on my smart watch, a Gear S2 NEO, there was no option to voice text, in fact S-Voice is no longer there at all. I could not find in the Galaxy Store or Play Store. This is a very valued feature on the smart watches to answer your text messages vs templates or emoticons. Please let me know if there are any other options or please bring it back!
I went to the previous link and a message appeared saying I could not download. I went to apk mirror and found this
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/s-voice-2/s-voice-2-4-0-00-17-release/s-voice-4-0-00-17-android-apk-download/download/
I was able to download and install. After the install it said it had to update the voice service framework which it automatically downloaded and installed.
