Not a dev but looking for help creating a multi-platform app... - Other Tools & General Discussion

I'm sure everyone says this, but I have an app idea that I believe could change small business accounting and acheive great success on both mobile and PC. And if nothing else I would want to utilize it for my personal business affairs. So I am interested in having the app developed and paying for the development. I would then like to ownt he rights to the app and submit it to the app stores. The most important thing with the app would be interfacing with the banking industry (bank account transfers), and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. The human interface and graphic design would be minimalist, simplistic, nothing extreme. If you are interested in developing this app for a clearly stipulated contract price then please message me for more further discussion. I would like to know your prior history developing applications and why you think you could help me with this application.
If you are only interested in developing if you retain some ownership in the app then we could negotiate that.
Thanks in advance and if you have any resources, links, or pointers to help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Avoiding Apple's and Google's 30% cut within in-app purchases

Hi all,
Don't all developers want to know if they can actually avoid Apple's and Android's 30% cut of all in-app purchases? Well I'm writing a project looking into this matter comparing in-app purchases vs external payment systems in apps. There are some different variables that comes in play, when studying whether it can boost the revenue to implement an external payment system.
One of the variables are the user perception of security. For that I created a very quick survey, that I really hope you will help me answer, for making my assumptions as close to reality as possible.
The survey can be found here:
docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFpyUXRrR0J1SE9BeE5jV2t1eFYxLWc6MQ#gid=0
I will of course present my findings afterwards, so I hope that all of you developers are as interested in this matter as I am.
Thanks in advance and thanks for a great site,

Thanks for the responses so far. It has been interesting reading your comments. If you have any ideas of other communities where this could be relevant to post, please feel free to distribute the link and initial text.
Thank you very much!

How much does making and developing an application cost?

Hello world,
I am currently in the process of designing/compiling my own Twitter application for Android. I understand that it would be a HUGE project, but i'm devoting the time just because I enjoy the process. I've heard that applications in development take thousands of dollars to make, but a lot of the answers i've searched for had a development team in mind. An individual to create the GUI, another individual to code/program, etc etc. If I were to do this myself, would it be essentially cost nothing to develop the app? Another concern I have is about the fact that i'm creating a Twitter app. Are there certain licensing fees? Maybe that isn't the right phrase.
TLDR; I'd like to know the cost of creating a Twitter application myself. Would it cost money to develop the app if I don't use a development team? Are there licensing fees involved with creating an app for Twitter?
THanks for your time

New Antitheft App

Hello all,
I am looking to develop and app like Cerberus Anti Theft with all of its features. I am looking for anyone who is interested in helping me doing this.
Since Cerberus has starting blocking account for their lack of server support, false violations of TOS and their BOGUS lifetime app purchase I am looking for someone to help me develop and app with all the same features included.
This is what I am trying to achieve
1. I'll support the server on my end so people who loyally paid for the app don't blocked for false TOS violations.
2. Provide a true lifetime license which show support to local supporters and developers
I understand in this day and age about the rise of the cost of living but if you make a promise stick with it.
I hope I can find someone or people who can make this a step forward in the right direction

Decentralized Application Marketplace - Your Thoughts?

Hello everyone,
We're trying to create a new open-source app distribution platform named Spheris, using blockchain technology. We are really interested in your thoughts – both devs and users. We're also open for possible collabs for those who are interested.
We’re utilizing Ethereum’s blockchain technology to build Spheris as a decentralized platform. This makes a lot of cool things possible:
No registration and transaction fees, as opposed to traditional app marketplaces who charge up to $100 for registration and 30% per each transaction. No technical restrictions or censorship. Optional anonymity. Forget about the need for credit card companies or banks – you will be able to buy and sell apps using our digital currency (Spheris tokens), with the option to exchange for other digital currencies (such as Ethereum or Bitcoin).
Customers will be able to purchase apps without going through registration and without credit cards. We’re also trying to accommodate devs whose apps have been removed from Google Play for questionable reasons.
Your Feedback = Extremely Important
We are in the early process of gathering valuable feedback from devs, and see if this is a platform that devs would like to be on. For users – do you guys see this as a platform you would buy apps from? Would love to start a discussion! For devs - have you had bad experiences with app stores (de-listing, ranking issues, not being accepted etc)? Does the concept of decentralization sound like something you might want to be a part of?
If you need more info, have a look at spheris.io or just ask me here.
Your questions and feedback are much appreciated,
Thanks
PS - apologies if this isn't the right forum for this topic!

New mobile to create mobile apps

Hello guys, I hope I will not be violating any rules. I would just like to inform the community with our mobile. It's been in the playstore for a while but have no traction yet since we have not focused on marketing it.
It is called Makeapp. It's goal is to empower everyone to be able to create apps for hobby, business, etc.
We know that the UI needs improvement at first glance as well as user experience during creation of apps. With it's current version, we have already used it for providing several apps for a few clients such as an HR mobile app, delivery app, mobile dashboard, several e-learning apps, etc.
Hope you give it a try and give us feedback and ideas on how we can improve the product.
We are not yet sure in open-sourcing it but there have been discussions.
Here's the link if you are interested.
