Hi,
I don't have lucky patcher installed and have gone thru the FAQ section to fix this issue but problem still remains. I have one tablet that Pro stays activated, but it does not stay activated on my Android TV box. I think the cause is that the tablet which works has an inbuilt battery, so the date/time is always correct (regardless of internet being on/off), whereas the android box has no battery and if you switch on the box without an internet connection (I usually do this as the main reason for the box is to watch my 600+ films from my external HDD), the date/time goes back to 1970 and the license verification issue appears.
I'm assuming this is the cause of the problem as when I first install Pro on the TV box from google play store (with internet on), Pro says it is activated. It's when I reboot without the internet on, that the problem occurs.
Any ideas? (apart from keeping internet on all the time )
Just confirmed that it is system date related, by trying a few scenarios. I can fix the problem by having the internet on when I boot the TV box (and system date is automatically updated from the net), then Pro says it's activated. Once the date is set, it appears that I can then turn off the internet and use Pro until the next boot. However, if I boot with internet off and try to use Pro, I get the license error.
If I boot with internet off, then fix system date manually, I still get Pro license error, so I assume Pro does some initial license check the first time you use Pro after a boot, and the internet must be on for this to happen.

Once it's activated it can work without internet.
There is a another possibility that the data partition where mx player stores app data getting erased upon reboot or it might be stored in Ram.
In this case, MX Player will try to verify the license since old data got erased. But, Invalid system time settings will lead to the issues with connctivity to google license validation servers. So, MX Player will throw the error.

Thanks for the response.
It's not a particularly big issue for me, as I have other video apps to choose from. Just thought it was worth putting it "out there".

I own a dell inspiron 15 with windows 8 officially installed on it. I purchased it four months ago.
For about a month or two now, the metro apps that came with the installation won't open. Some start loading and the screen turns white and stays that way. Others start loading and the loading ring and the app icon later gets disorganized. The apps in question keeps sending notifications but not accessible.
I really need help with that.
Also, I stopped using the microsoft login sometime back because always entering the long password became annoying. Now for some reason, it keeps telling me there is a network problem whenever i try switch to my microsoft account although i have a working internet connection.
My bluetooth and sd card slot ain't working properly but i believe all these are linked to one problem.
I have tried all the solutions posted online;
*Troubleshoot
*Activate windows
*Use Proxy
*Clear store cache
*Re-registry store
*Resolution change
and all but non worked. I can't update the OS because i cant open store in the first place. My last resort is to format the laptop but i dont want to do that now. I havent backed up most of my data and i dont know whether that'll fix the problem.
Neither can i take it to a dell or Microsoft shop because painfully there ain't one here. So i have to rely on my own understanding.
It seems it ain't enough so am desperately in need of help. *_*
so a while back I misplaced my shield at work and to avoid leaving my account vulnerable I sent a lock request via android device manager (device wasn't connected to wifi)
A couple days later the device was found and returned to me and i continued using it offline for a while to keep my battery from draining too fast.
then a few weeks later I went online to download new Fpse plugins and the device locked as it should've...but i forgot what password i used. "No problem" I thought, and went onto ADM and set a new password.
I got this message and the new password was not recognized. I've tried all my usual passwords with no luck and would rather not do a factory reset as I'm pretty sure my ocarina of time save is on the internal memory and I really don't want to do the water temple again
I've called some branch of google (they make it very difficult to find someone to talk to) as well as nvidia with each party telling me to contact the other.
Is there anything I can do?
Hello I am not knowledgeable on mobile devices, their hardware or software sadly. But I have a Metro PCS with that model that I somehow bricked? (is this a brick anyway?) by simply clicking on "upgrade" the android software :/
The cellphone doesnt have any weird things installed, just a flashlight and whatsapp. But it was handled years ago by a family member, who "upgraded" the OS, or so Im told (whatever they did, it couldnt have been advanced, but could have been dumb, system was stable however, and remained as such for years). The device must also have been locked by Metro.
The cellphone had an external SD card and videos on it, some downloaded from whatsapp, some recorded on the device itself. The only problem with the device was that it had a huge red bar 6gb+ on the storage report, assigned to System/others, and me being unable to delete whatever was in there. And unable to just move the programs to the huge SD card because all of them want core access or whatever.
Suddenly, from one day to the next, these videos whatsapp or natively recorded started showing a broken film icon and would not play from the gallery, whatsapp or the file browser. The gallery would show an error and only audio would play. Whatsapp would remain frozen at 00:00, and the file browser would display an error and not play.
I read that I had to uninstall an "Google" update that had broken videos, so I uninstalled an app called Google (not Chrome, and not Google something, it was a plain "Google" and had Googles search engine G logo), and things started working again.
The next day they were broken again, and this Google was not installed anymore, I stopped all of the cellphones running apps, nothing. Restarted, tried moving files to the core storage, back, nothing. I went to the OS settings and clicked on upgrade the OS, I remember it was at version 5 something. It didnt download anything and went straight to OS install showing an android green guy.
At about 30% in the green guy died with a red error, an error message and the progress bar disappeared. It remained frozen, I reset.
The system booted and showed "optimizing 1 out of 16" I knew this was weird since it had failed the update and I never saw a rollback. but let it run, it looped back to itself about three times.
I tried to learn those startup key inputs to load the bios or whatever, managed to load a screen to reset back to factory settings, did the reset. now it still loops, although it is 1 out of 3 optimizations.
Cant believe how this pos can get so messed up just by using the default buttons, google is happy to get all the information on users but cant keep videos working nor have a working installation...
Rants aside, did I actually mess up something?, shouldnt the installer do a full reboot before doing anything now that I think about it? how do I get this thing to work again?, clearly the factory reset is not a factory reset.
Hello
I've been given a GW 4 recently. However, I have a not very new, but still working phone, which is a Redmi Note 4 (mido). At the beginning I've had no problem with the connection. I was able to install directly from the store the main apps needed: Samsung wereable (old gear) and g. watch 4 plugin. And it connected perfectly. Nevertheless, some other apps needed (samsung health and health monitor) are not available for my phone (due to android version). So, to try them, I reseted the watch and connected it to a newer Samsung Phone that I was lended. I had everything working ok but it was just to test all the functions temporaly since I'm planning (but not yet) to buy a new phone and I returned the Samsung phone to his owner.
For these reason I tried to connect the watch to redmi again, but now it's impossible to make it connect. There must be some issue with the phone or something because it detects the watch sometimes, but it happens that bluetooth given code to connect is random and does not match the one that appears in the watch, or it provides a new code in the phone again while it is already in the connecting procedure, things like that. Normally connection hangs when it reaches 80% or so.. I tried a few things:
-hard reset in the watch (via recovery)
-uninstalling and install the samsung apps
-installing older versions of the apps
-reseting network settings (it cleans bluetooth list of devices)
-cleaning bluetooth app cache and changing bt device name-
-Some other things that I cant remember to no avail
Any idea on how to proceed without factory reset the phone?
Thank you
Do you have more than one Google Account on the phone? I had to sign out of them all bar my main one and it worked.
Hello, I did not realise about this issue so I went through all the possible google accounts that may have included the device, and I remove it from all of them (4 in total)
But still no connection. The best I can achive is "Please finish the config in smartphone" in the watch and stuck at 88% of "preparing your watch" in the smartphone. But even when this happens it seems like Samsung wereable feels like the watch disconnects and it asks again to search for a device and to pair with a different bt code, while samsung watch 4 plugin stays 88% progress of connection.
It's quite strange. It must be some problem with the plugin.
After a while it says in the watch that connection was not possible with the phone. And it restablish factory values itself.

I don't know what has happened to my old Lenovo Vibe X on Android 6.01 and how to resolve the issue without wiping data (no guarantee it would help - I'm now thinking...).
The phone is temporarily at my relative's disposal: i've switched to her Google account to let her use my old phone. She complained the call ring was very weak. I decided to change the ringtone, but I found out that I cannot do it anymore, the Media/Audio/Ringtones folder with standard OGG files is not visible (I cannot select ringtones from there anymore). "Other ringtones" option directs me to some installed Audio player, which does not allow to select any MP3 files in ANY folder (they cannot be played, because the player reports they are not added to Media storage). When I try to use "Scan media" option - it is just stuck. I've tried to use another programs like SD scanner, they either report Media database read error or finally report success status, however the audio files are still not playable.
I've tried to: clear caches (Android and Dalvik), disable / enable Media system app and delete its data.
I've also noticed that NOW my USB Audio player reports that HiRes DAC is not found (!) and does not want to play files in HiRes mode (through the chip instead of generic driver) - actually, my phone does have ES9018 DAC...
I am not sure this problem is related to Media storage, however all this together is very weird.
Any thoughts what could happen and what should I do?
How long was she using it and how good are her Android skills? May have caught a rootkit or virus. Anything below Android 9 is vulnerable to the Xhelper type rootkits that can worm their way out of the user partition. Real nasty critters...
If it just went nuts, I highly suspect malware especially in the hands of a novice user.

As @blackhawk wrote, the user may have infected the phone.
The only solution is to flash the phone manufacturer's stock ROM.
I will try to do this as soon as I get a chance, nowadays there is no other smartphone to use for my relative, so have to wait a couple of days.
BTW - regarding "HiRes DAC is not found" message... is there a chance that guys who replaced the battery in this smartphone soldered out ES9018 chip??

Likely a software, firmware or settings issue. Malware could also be the root cause for losing the high resolution DAC.
It's possible the tech damaged this circuit but probably not likely. Obviously if it was working before they got their paws on it then they are likely to blame.
