For Whom The Bell Tolls (thread for waiting Garmin's New ROM)

So there, I started a thread, hope you all happy to be here and quits polluting the ROM thread with rants and anxieties. Just trying to accomodate and vents the air a lil bit here, so please don't take everything too seriously either.
Let one by one speak their own piece of mind, since I can sense it's more than just the waiting that bothers some of you, sounds like something has quite off-course for quite some time, the tip of iceberg is getting larger for some reasons.
So let's chitchat here, maybe it would help many if they can speak their feelings and thinkings. I dunno.
My intention is only neutral, Garmin is a friend of mine, but not for too long I must admit. Yet I cannot agree that some are directing their feelings towards him alone. This is a big community, and we're supposed to collaborate and be helpful to each other with minimum prejudices. If one is considered wrong,it's our job to rectify things in positive and constructive manners.
So be it. Speak up. Mind your language though, we're adult here.

Not a completely useless thread, just in the wrong location. Word choice is important. Maybe consider some words that are not as harsh. I understand your point; however, the meaning gets lost sometimes because people take the strong words to mean that you are attacking them, even when you are not meaning to be

Wonderful thought, my friend.
Maybe all chefs should start a deletable announcing thread and release the rom in a separate thread. Upon which the announce thread could then be deleted.
Then again, maybe chefs shouldn't announce at all until they are actually ready to release. Keeping the number of threads down.
Either way, both easier editing of "redundant threads" or preventing them all together, would definitely enhance the readability of this forum.
Anyone else? Please voice your thoughts here.

Don't feel bad towards me, I'm used to strong arguments. Please feel bad for Garmin, at least we must the least do something for him, which we failed, and now I'm afraid of losing him.
If only:
1. I (or someone else) started this thread sooner, before the original one became so polluted,which sparked the fire0 in the end. I remember this has been done before
2. People are growing up and be more patient. Cuz patience is a virtue (Skat sez, u're da man!)
3. Mods are being more proactive so when Garmin came he didn't have to see all the mess. But hey, they're busy and don't want to be labeled as dictator either. It's us who should behave in the first place
4. Garmin is not so talented that many are so anxious waiting for his new creation. On which, I hardly found it's his fault either...
Oh well, oh well, I can only hope that he will get a grip on himself and didn't turn his back to us. My hope also goes for other chefs too, that they all be given more patience and big heart to face all of us, little kiddies.

In my opinion, too many "kids" and not enough "adults" on these forums! The ROMS are FREE. If you're miserable about life, go see a shrink, cos i can guarantee no-one here is qualified to help you with that. So, if you're HERE, you must be looking to flash your Kaiser or find out how to fix issues with it. For anything else, phone 555-PULL-YOURSELF-TOWARDS-YOURSELF (he says in a cheeky tone)

I agree with Skatdawg. This thread of "chit chat" belongs elsewhere. Not in Kaiser Rom Development. We aren't developing any Roms in this thread, now are we?

My only fault that i'm too late, and posted in wrong forum? Just think that the thread sould be near the original thread, and I asked to be deleted anyway.
Someone has requested this thread to be created but I didn't, just because i knew that only seniors can create silly thread without getting bashed. Proven, now that I take the risk, bashed. Hahaha... 'sokay for me, getting used to it though.
Anyway, i dont want to pick a fight, but if u read more carefully I have joined this forum for 15 months now, spend my time only for reading, only post to show some praising and gratifications for some useful items, seldom even raised questions. Lately i have some ideas for this forum, and they are coming from my own observations . But if many found them silly, 'sokay, at least i only want to speak up. If speaking up considered spamming, no probs, i knew the risk. Called me anyway you like.
My only grief for this forum is only why it always insisted to be All-HTC-Devices forum. I have to live up with it, i think, for the moment.

Which 6.1 rom do you prefer?

Now that I think of it I agree with people about closing this thread. Alot of ROM developers put time and effort into making different roms. I intially just listed the major Roms I found in the WIKI thread but then realized that there are many more. Please accept my apologies for starting this thread and close it.

I don't know what is worse.
They fact that they don't notice the stickies at the top or the fact that they start the same "I didn't read the stickies at the top" thread as 700 other folks.
Not only didn't they search the answer, they didn't search the question.

I prefer the triple-23 rom.

If I asked "who's rom is the most stable/fastest" I would be flamed and the thread would be closed.
Therefore, why is it ok for you to start a poll asking the same thing. Just because you start a poll it doesn't camouflage your inquiries.
edit: besides, don't you believe this could be discouraging to some rom chefs? Especially the names you did not mention and the chefs that receive lesser votes. All of them deserve an ice cream cone and a lap dance.

I was not bashing you. Just keeping you informed that nobody can tell you what the best rom is. You need to decide for yourself, which is why this thread should of been locked or not created in the first place. Sorry if I offended you and you did not waste my time. It is nice to have you here.

There is NO SUCH THING as the best ROM. Yes, we all have our opinion of what we prefer today. But that often changes tomorrow.

It is not a matter of being smarter, or wasting anyone's "precious time." This is a rom development forum, and as such threads in here are supposed to be related to rom DEVELOPMENT. I know it seems a trivial distinction to you, but to people who spend a lot of time here do get very frustrated because there is 5-10 threads a week asking "what is the best/fastest/slowest rom/radio/spl", and no matter how many of them are closed, or moved to the Kaiser General forum, people seem to not get the hint. I mean no offense to the orginal poster as i am sure you didn't mean to be inconsiderate of forum rules and ettiquette when you started the thread; however, intentionality is not a requirement.
The mods will eventually close or move this thread at their discretion however, so i'm not too concerned. Plus I know they're not terribly concerned about whether i think something should be closed or not. I am not a mod after all. Also, i did vote

first of all if dhiru thinks he need help he would say.
second, it is not the right place to ask help from other developers.

Why are you spamming this forum? First in the genealogy sub section, then in the threads of the general sub section, then now the development sub section. The development section is for development strictly, and not for these kinds of threads. I hope you understand, look through xda's rules and you will understand.

Sorry to say but I really don't understand the way many people here starts flaming/bossing/teaching to others. Were you all born Experts ? Why don't you remember that every expert or Dev today was an absolute noob or novice at one time ?? Would they or you loved to be flamed ? Don't do to others what you don't like for yourself.
Also before telling Moderators to do "their work" learn to have respect for these hard working guys. They are not paid to do such a tough and selfless job and then somebody would pop-up saying Moderators get this guy out of here and do your job. Yeah sure you are paying them.
This place is not one of the most revered names cause every beginner or anyone gets flamed for some or no reason cause it make some feel good but because of polite and helpful discussions, exchange of knowledge and innovation at its best. Useless thread is useless. The devs are doing their best, asking more devs to help a team that is already working hard is nobody's business. If the devs need help they'll ask for help.

I know this will probably be deleted, but I want to say thank you to everyone who has posted a guide or answered questions. I also want to thank you senior and more experienced members for putting up with all of us more novice and less knowledgeable members. You have all helped me and guided me to understanding my device and just the over all support is awesome. Thank you all!

Thanks whore? He's one of the few who said thank you to people who helped him. Its just not very welcome here cos a lot of people feel they'd be penalized if they created such threads because thats the attitude spread by the proud people on xda. The real whores are the posters like you who gain some inexplicable joy from putting down new comers or people who genuinely need help, along with the other useless posters - USE THE [email protected]#KING SEARCH BUTTON [email protected]#KS!
The search button aint all that damn great. Try looking for an answer to a question you want on the ARHD thread. Your results would be about 10 pages long. Is it more convenient to read through 10 pages of posts or post a question and wait for a good soul to spend 1-2 mins of his/her and answer it for you?
Nothing against you personally but most the people on xda do similar things.
It takes time to learn, and when someone helps, its nice to say thank you. Maybe he can't donate. So this is how he sees it best. Dont unnecessarily stomp on others. Its gay.

Dear All Dev's,
I would like to seriously thank all of you for so much efforts that you all are pumping to make this phone from "that can" to "that will".
I wasn't online for some time or less active last week and i saw 4 new ROM's on Monday morning not patches full ROM's getting pumped in XDA. This shows the amount of effort and time all the dev's are pumping. Wish i could press the thanks button multiple times on all the dev's.
Again saying a big thanks for all the dev's

You have a general section for all your gratitude,discussions, opinions etc.
Please be a sensible person and let the developers only post in here.
Dont act like an insane, it will make others think that we Indians are so not disciplined.
Even the ROMs threads are also highly spam-ed.
I think now even the moderators are saturated with this spaming thats why they dont even bother to moderate this forum anymore..
