[Completed] Fuhu Nabi Products - XDA Assist

I'd like to request a Fuhu Nabi section under tablets. These devices are limited and need Dev help to unlock their potential. More so my 2 year old would be deeply indebted to you. He use the crap out of that thing. Help parents who got suckered in by this. Limited storage space is the main issue. It won't use the external SD card for apps. The battery life blows.
I wish I could Dev. but programming and I don't mix. So I ask you for your help. There are many out there hoping that XDA will hop on the Nabi train. So bust out that engine and let's make it a bullet train.

Hi,
Here is the best place to ask about such requests,
> General discussion > About xda-developers.com > *** New Device Forum Requests ***
It usually takes many requests for the same device to show there is interest though. Xda can't have a section for every single device out there, it would really clutter the site.
In the meantime, any questions or issues you have about that device can be asked here,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

There's not much here, but there's one page about your device that I found...

Next water damage steps?

Lost my phone to water damage last week and i was just wondering what the community thinks the next step should be? Used phone? New Nexus? Any other options?
We can't tell you what is best for you. Weigh your needs/wants and budgets and go from there.
Other options? Yes... There's hundreds of phones on the market. ?

Anoyed by 10 post minimum

I know, the reasons why there is a 10 post minimum before a noob can post to the developer section of a phone is legit.
But my phone is rare and thus there are few people posting about it with just a few devs that are active.
If I do a search for the phone, (huawei ascend mate) all i get is the threads where I am not yet allowed to post.
I did post a question about my phone being bricked in the section where it was allowed but did not get answers. Why?
Because the devs only visit the dev threads, which are located in the forums of yet another phone, the P6....
So it may be valid to have the 10 post minimum but it leaves me out in the cold!
Now there is a forum dedicated to the mate 2, why not move the mate 1 forum in to that section?
At least that will make the devs take more notice of nooms with general questions.
Feel free to give your ideas on how it should be done here:

[Completed] [Q] I phone 4s tried to restore got error code 1430

I have an I phone 4s. when I go to restore in I tunes I get error 1430. can someone tell me what this and can help?
Hi,
While there's no sections on XDA for Apple devices, since there's really no development involved with them, you could ask in the general Q&A section,
> General discussion > Questions and Answers
Though really, finding an iPhone forum somewhere will likely serve you better.
Good luck!
Thank you. Thread closed.

[Completed] [Q] signature thread

hello i want to know where can i create a thread or post for my works.....
i created in off topic section but they cloased it ?
Hi,
Before I suggest anything.... Were you not given a reason it was closed? If it was because the moderator said that's not the section you should post in.... Then you could try here,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
If it was for another reason.... It will depend what the other reason was.
Honestly, if you post in a general section, as I linked above... Your thread will be quickly buried in the pages and never be seen. The best place to have your work is in the individual sections each subject belongs in. Having them all in one thread is kind of unnecessary and serves no real purpose. Unless it's all for the same device.... In which case, that devices general section is best.
Thanks!

You can also use your profile signature for links to your threads. But try to keep it brief. Overly large signatures are annoying to many. ?

Thats the point thread closed without any reason and thanks I will try there
Sorry, this is the section I meant for you to try posting in.. general, not Q&A...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general
Again, your thread will slip away in the pages though fairly quickly. Just having the individual works where they belong is best. In their device sections.
Unless someone searches xda on your specific member name, they likely won't ever find your post of collective works.
But that's just my 2 cents. ?

Oh, and it could get closed again too.
I'm guessing for exactly the reason I just said above. It's not of much use. Sorry. ?

Why page look like this?

Not every device gets its own forum, it depends on how popular the device is, how large its communiry of users is and how much "original" custom development is available for. If your device is a cheap, low end device or if it does not have a lot of users here or if there are no original custom developments or if there are only a small number of custom developments, the device will not get its own forum.
Wait a while, if more people use the device and if there are a lot of custom developments made available for it, then it "might" get its own forum.
XDA does not create new forums for every device on the market just because the device exists. It takes time and work add a new section to XDA, they can't afford to waste time or server space to create a forum for every device that is released. It would be a waste of server space to create a forum for devices that are not popular, does not have a large community of users or has very little or no original custom development. Even if a lot of development is made available, it still wont get a forom unless it is "original" development, meaning, if it is not something created by someone else for another device then modified to work on your device, that is not "original development", that is only "development".
In the future, don't buy a device and THEN come here to XDA expecting custom development without checking XDA before you buy the device. A better idea is to check XDA before you buy a device to see what devices it supports and what is available for those devices then decide which device you are going to buy based on what is already available at XDA. Otherwise, you take a chance buying a device that may or may not ever be supported by XDA.

@tze_vitamin
I assume you're referring to the layout of the forum of your new device:
Xiaomi 11T Pro
The Xiaomi 11T Pro is a 6.67" phone with a 1080x2400 resolution display. The Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G chipset is paired with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. The main camera is 108+8+5MP and the selfie camera is 16MP. The battery has a 5000mAh capacity.

Slightly more than a year ago, XDA transition from vBulletin to Xenforo, and for several reasons but mainly to speed up XDA our site owners decided that new device fora won't have section/sub-fora any longer but use prefixes in the threads to indicate the respective category and to allow filtering for easy searches.
So, the fora of your previous devices were created prior to the transition to Xenforo, and the Xiaomi 11T Pro one after the transition.
A XDA search might have brought you to this post by @sd_shadow; please ahve a look into it for further explanations and how-to-use suggestions:

Thanks very much indeed for your post and especially the first link. I've removed that thread. For whatever reason it was indeed at the wrong location.
Not as an excuse but as a probable explanation: Please count the number of moderators here who are all dedicated XDA users who do this "job" voluntarily and for free besides their real life, real family and friends, real business and occupation. And on a website with more than 3.5 million threads and 75M+ posts we highly depend on hints from our users like e.g. your post.
And regarding, the second linked forum, I've to admit I didn't find the confusing sticky. Can you help me out please? PM is also fine in order not to clutter this thread. Thanks for your cooperation.
Regards
Oswald Boelcke
I will send PM when I find more. just to clarify, the second link is the recent one and therefore the valid one. So all questions (regardless if development/device specific or not) belong to the general Q&A threads?
- General Questions and Answers
where each answer is expected as solution (no comments) and can be upvoted, or
- Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
where each reply is a comment and we like to chat about our issues/ideas as usual (no voting feature)
... right??

I agree it's hard to distinguish between the two fora. First, as you correctly said the first one has a voting feature that was set up by the site owners briefly after the transition to Xenforo.
Personally, I distinguish between them that the latter one is for items related to Android while the first one is open for everything related to XDA's subject and objectives. There's a lot of grey in it, and I try to view it very flexible.
