hi friend, with higher capacity batteries installed, the kernel must be modified to show correct battery percentage
Nope man, after two refills the problem is solved .. I forgot to write it here
have you checked voltage when it says 100 percent?
Yep, all checked with Battery Monitor

I just bought a 1900mAh battery off ebay, and it came from china, so Im unsure if it's really 1900mAh, because my 1520mAh weighs more...
How can I check if it really is 1900mAh?
I think that the only way to do that is to fully charge the battery then drain it fully while measuring the current and see if it would last for 2hrs if the current is 950mA. Thats the way I did a few battery checks while I was studying (telecommunications). But everything is done out of the phone, exept the charging. Hope it gave you an idea how it is done.
Hello...
couple a days ago i bought Moto Defy 3500mAh Extended Battery from amazon. and as the guild said '' Charge the battery for more than 12h to get the extended life for 5-6 cycle ...
and its done ..today after charging at 100% i checked battery calibration and its showed 100% 4183 mV
same day after heavy usage battery went to 1% and i kept using my phone until maybe its shut down 1h passed but nothing happened went again to battery calibration and its 3873 mV and its at 1% ?!! while writing this i checked again and this time its shows 3915 mV and its keeping going up bit by bit as i left my phone idle ?! any idea how to make it reading the battery status right ?! or maybe the motorola defy is sat to read 1500mAh battery only ?!
a lot of the batteries are generic on amazon. zcell by laza are actually really good batteries. they are on amazon. i dont know if they make them for the moto defy but the zcells are the only ones ive noticed to be accurate capacity. I dont think these phones are programmed to know if a larger capacity battery is in it. Im not 100% sure though.
its by CellularFactory people gave it 5 star's
any help ?!

I am using MIUI 2.2.10 with Faux kernel, and have seen a severe battery drain issue. Before when i was on stock, i had the issue where Cell Standby would drain most of the battery. When i switched to MIUI, somehow that problem dissapeared. But now, i have been using the phone for 6 hours, most of it just texting, and when I started I was fully charged. Now I am at 29%. I checked the Battery Stats and it said Display was taking up 73% of this battery drain. I have no idea what could possibly be causing this because i had the brightness on low, and yet i played music for 30 minutes and that didn't even show up on the list of things draining the battery. Could someone explain this to me?
First off how low is low?
It may not show music, it isn't that draining. Display is a big one, it will eat the heck out of your battery. Either start carrying your cable with you everywhere, or get the 3500 MAh battery.

I had it on low as in the very lowest, and how much money is the 3500 mah battery?

Here is a link to a thread about the 3500mAh Battery.
I personally think it looks really bulky and ugly.
There are other alternatives like extended bateries that fit the original phone backcover. I would check the Accessories section for more info.
Here is the link to the "better" alternative in my opinion.

.I purchased a 3500 mah battery and am loving it. I the only problem I'm having is that when. I turn off my phone, and the battery still drains... It lost 70 percent in 8 hours while it was fully powered off.... I don't know why

Faulty battery.
The % in the Battery Stats is not how much battery is used. The screen at 73% means it was on 73% of the 6 hours which is 4.38 hours of the 6. If you add all the numbers in Battery stats it will be over 100.

but the stock battery had the same problem.
I've got the anker 1900 but I'm dissatisfied. It lasts as long as the stock 1580 or maybe less...
I dunno whether it's bad luck or not, but something is wrong.
1) In battery widget the reported mAh is 1580, isn't it supposed to be auto detected correctly 1900?
2) I've wiped batterystats, and recharged it fully, but i.e. today the phone lasted only from 10.00 till now. Do I have to give it more recharghing cycles before to judge it?
What do you think?

Depends on usage, the way I use it - that would be a good amount of capacity.
Did u do 3 full discharge and charge.
Im on my 2nd cycle and my Anker is rockin'..
Sent from my Sensation using Tapatalk 2
Where did you buy it from?
Sent From My Sexy Sensation.
I bought iy on ebay from an irish seller. And I've still not completed 3 full cycles.
But what about the reported mah?
Did you have to set manually the mah as well?
And I'm experiencing strange behavior with the reported left charge. It stayes at 100% long, and then it start lowering the % much faster.

Might be a faulty battery perhaps you have warranty ? I bough it from ebay : laptopmate_usa hes legit and gives 1 year warranty ! Mine stays on 100% long time but starts draining fast until 92 then becomes normal..

Battery monitor widget reports 1580mAh and I have to overwrite the data to 1900, does it happen to you too? Il this normal?
With battery monitor widget, if you go in to "Calibration", then hit "Change", you can enter a different capacity. You don't have to name the battery, although you can if you want. Then the stats should change.
*edit*
I have used battery monitor widget in the past, and had to manually change it to 1900. Although I have not used it lately and don't know if it should automatically adjust the calibration.

I have the anker 1900 too and to quickly see if battery is actually registering as larger than 1500 (ie your battery stats have been adjusted due to calibration or wipe). Charge your sensation to 100% (green light), power down, and if your charging while powered down for my then 5 min or so its still at 1500. (orange light on)
I know it seems obvious but my experience is that my anker battery will always charge full if turned off no matter what rom I'm running.
if the rom isn't reading the battery i'll turn on my sensation and i'll be at 100% charge for a few hours Xp
Hello everyone,
my phone automatically shuts down, when the battery power is below 20%.
If I try to start the phone after the shutdown, I got the system warning that the power is too low.
One month ago I replaced a brand new (original) battery from 2017.
Attached, you'll find the screenshot of the battery monitor.
Moreover I think it's very strange that the new battery has more or less the same capacity like the old one from 2014.
Do I have to clear some battery stats or something?
Thanks in advance!

It's completely normal when you replace battery, since no original battery is available anywhere and any seller who claims it's original is fake.
You'll need a few charge cycles(charge-discharge) to let the battery negotiate correctly.

I performed some complete charge cycles. I installed the battery a month ago - I thought, that the battery should be fine now?

I have faced the same issue when I replaced the battery 2 months ago.
Make sure you fully charge to 100% before removing the charger, and let it completely die before charging it again.
Somewhere between 5 to 10 cycles will be perfect for calibrating the battery.
Good luck :good:

I have personally used this app for calibration
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration
I am not very sure whether it makes a difference or not.
