My nexus get bootloop in every moment - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Today my nexus 5 is broke.
Few minutes before all warking perfectly. I've got a RASTAPOP and elementalx kernel of course overclocked.
At now my nexus doesnt response to power button but when I connect charger or usb with pc phone was start booting and switching off after one second. Two seconds later it starting again and turning off automatically. Thats happening continously until I dont disconnect the cable.
I tried to go to bootloader then recovery but It isn't possible. Every time I saw the bootloader screen phone reboots itsel again and again and again.
It isn't standar boo loop becouse I have multirom and I dont even have posibillity to choose any rom.
Few weeks ago I bought a cheap battery case. And I saw it doesnt charge battery as ussualy. It charge battery for minute or two then disconnect for while and charge it again diconnect and charge again. Looking like my boot loop. I thing this battery case can broke down my battery in nexus 5 so I order the new one few minutes ago.
Anybody have another solution?

[Q] Nexus 5 - Phone Will Not Turn On & No Response When Charging

I need your help guys!
I charged my Nexus overnight and in the morning wanted to put a new rom before going to work. I downloaded and flashed [ROM][Kernel][5.0.2][LRX22G] Lollipop Dream [Linaro][Build 10][20150106] ROM via TWRP and installed GAPPS.
I setup the phone with my google account and the phone began downloading previous app purchases. Last time I checked the phone on my way to work the phone was still downloading apps. However when I got to work (15 minutes later) I noticed the phone was powered off. I tried turning the phone on, or turning the phone to recovery but I got not response. Even when I plugged the phone in to the original charger I got no visual response that the phone was being charged.
What can I do to bring the phone back?
Appreciate your help.
Do you get red flashing light when you plug it in? I'm at this situation right now but on stock. Managed to boot the phone by disconnecting the battery and booting it on power supply (plug in battery when you see google) and when it boots up, the battery isn't charging at all.
Just got it into recovery and am wiping the data but been on there for 10 mins so far.

Hi Wolverine,
No I don't get the red flashing light when I plug it in....no visual response at all. I'll try removing the battery, but I found it difficult removing some of the screws (they were pretty tightly installed).
I had that happening yesterday, but I did manage to power it up by connecting the charger and booting with both volume buttons and power. After that it behaved like it should.
No battery charging - did you try to measure it with a multimeter? I'm curious if the charging circuit failed or the battery protection. Either way, good luck with your rma.
Oh btw, how old was your nexus?

How long did you have to connect the charger for?
I didn't try measuring with a multimeter. I purchased this phone about two months ago through a Canadian Carrier (Koodo) and not through Google.
Mine was a present last March so not sure if I can get an RMA from Google! Never dropped the phone, never tampered with it and suddenly it has just refused to charge. Replaced the battery and no difference.
SOLVED!!!!
Yes, so this morning what I did was hit on the back of the phone lightly while pressing the vol+- and power button and to my surprise it turned on. Immediately I restored the 4.4.4 Nexus ROM that was backed up. I think it was a loose battery but don't want to test that rom again.
I held the power button down for maybe a minute ( to trigger a hard power off) . With volume and power it went up in a couple of seconds.

[Q] My Nexus 5 rebooted itself 5 times today?

This is the first time this has happened. Basically the screen will just turn black randomly and the Google image pops up for a couple seconds before staying off. The first 3 times it happened I was able to turn it back on by just holding the power button. After that, however, it got stuck in a boot cycle until I plugged it into a charger and tried. So far with the charger plugged in it hasn't turned off yet.
I've attached a screenshot of my battery status. It seems the battery disappeared for a few hours?
Does your battery smell like sulphur?
Sounds like a stuck power button unfortunately. Quite common.
I'd say try flashing stock firmware again with fastboot.... But if it reboots while flashing, you'll be in more trouble.
Let it sit in bootloader mode awhile... See if it reboots or anything. If not, you could try flashing stock firmware. But hopefully it doesn't shutdown mid-install.... That wouldn't be good.

Nexus 5 suddenly shut down, won't boot anymore.

Hello,
A couple of weeks ago I noticed, that the battery life on my Nexus 5 was significantly worse. I used to get about 3-4 Hours onscreen time. Now I would only get 1-2.
Sometimes when it reached 0% it did not only shut down, but it also updated all Apps on startup.
Yesterday I walked home at about 11pm and wanted to check some emails, when it suddenly went black with about 80-90% left. After arriving at home I plugged it in with my charger and it booted up again, but only to the point where you see the google colors swirl around (after the google logo). I left it plugged in the whole night.
Today I checked again, it starts to boot but after 2-3 seconds it goes black and starts again at the google logo when plugged in. When not plugged in it sometimes reaches the "Updating Apps" (or updating android something similar) but also after about 10-20 seconds it again starts at the google logo. Also trying to get into recovery mode also causes it to "reboot" to the google logo after a couple of seconds..
Has anyone experienced this before? Google search only led to a broken power button, which I don't think because I Never had problemes with the on/off switch before.
I bought the phone about 1 year ago (+2 - 3 months) from the google store, do I still have warranty? (I'm from germany and the phone is rooted and the bootloader is unlocked)
Thank you in advance and have a nice week
Did you try to enter the recovery while plugged in to a charger ? If it´s still not possible, the device might be fried.
If you´re from Germany and the device is older than 1 year, you´re out of luck. Google up what "Gewährleistung" really means and you will see that chances of obtaining a free repair are very bad
All you could do now is to try to check the phone with a charger attached to it, flash a Factory Image. Replacing the battery is not as complicated if this one is faulty.
Btw, a stuck power button can also cause a device to restart itself.

That happened to me with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. My problem was a haywire USB cable. And another time the charger was not of enough power (I was using my phone's charger on my tab). It used to boot up for a second or two and then switch off. Get your USB cable and charger checked.

Will do. Thanks for the help
If anyone else has other ideas I'd be glad to her them
If you can use another phone I'd recommend "ampere" tho check your charger and cable.

Nexus 5 dead after battery replacement

Two weeks ago, I replaced the battery of my Nexus 5 and it was working well. Now suddenly the phone does not turn on anymore at all, so I thought the new battery might be completely dead. I ordered another one, but still, it doesn't do anything. When I connect it to a charger, it attempts to boot as the google logo appears, but it just reboots all the time. I tried the same with the battery disconnected and it behaves just like this.
So I assume the connection from battery to the phone is somehow broken? Is there anything I can do?
It's the power button not the battery if it keeps restarting try this

N5 won't boot - Battery change

Hey there.
I'm in trouble with my old Nexus 5. As the battery was becoming less and less powerful, I decided to change it ; and so I did ! Get a new one on Amazon, and installed it.
But now, my Nexus 5 refuse to boot. Even when I put the old battery back. I didn't damage anything, all the connexions seem fine, but the N5 refuse to boot (even Recovery Mode). I also try to keep the Power Button on for 30 seconds, or even bang it, but nothing. With the 2 batteries, same result.
When I put the battery off and charge the N5, the screen does turn on ! The battery logo with the lightning sign appears for a few seconds, then it turns off. And on again, and off.
If in this situation (N5 plugged and battery off) I connect the battery (just a simple connector), I have the charging screen (battery icon fulfilling). But then when I tried to boot it, nothing. The screen just turns off and nothing happens. Even the first screen does'nt show up again.
I am really stuck with this issue as I don't know what to do ! Both batteries give me the same result. The old one is supposed to be charged (at least 50%) but nothing happens..
Could the new battery have damaged the phone ?
If you can help me on this one, I would really appreciate it..
Cheers !
When you connect the phone to a computer, is it detected at all? Maybe it is semi-bricked?
New battery could be doa, happened to me before. Also always fully charge new batteries first or you risk making them unable to charge fully or at all.
