It can`t play this DTS_Boundless.mp4 audio.
Process
Here's the process:
?Download the zip.
?Extract the zip to find a .so file.
?Go to Downloads folder in your main storage and create a folder called "KMP"
?Move the .so file to KMP folder.
?Restart KMP.
FYI, I used FX file explorer for this. Thanks OP for the file :good:

It wil work, just extract the .so file in Downloads folder directly(not in KMP folder) and restart kmp
.SO file did not work on my Samsung J3. Anyone?
Thanks, but it wasn't working. The Original instructions didn't say to extract the .so file. (The MAME arcade emulator doesn't, so I assumed this was the same way.) Later I noticed someone said to extract it. It still didn't work. Double-checked to make sure it was in the right folder. Anyone have a workaround for MKV files? TIA.
Go to km player settings and turn on external codec use ..

TCPMP works fine.
Thnks a lot.
TCPMP playback issues on WM6 using WMA/WMV format files can be solved as follow:
After I installed WM6 on my universal, I noticed that when you try and play a wma/wmv file with tcpmp it gives you an error that some codec's missing..
Because it worked flawlessly on WM5, I started digging a bit and found that WM5's codec files "names" has changed in WM6, thus making it unable for tcpmp to find the wm* codec files.
All you need to do is: (DO NOT OVERWRITE ANY FILES ON YOUR WM6 DEVICE)
Step1: Find the following 2 files in your "\windows\" (WM6 devices) directory: "wma9prodecoder.dll" & "wmv9decoder.dll" and copy them onto your local pc.
Step2: Rename the copied files as follows: From "wmv9decoder.dll" to "wmvdecoder.dll" & From "wma9prodecoder.dll" to "wmadecoder.dll" .
Step3: Copy the renamed files onto your device in the "\windows\" folder.
Enjoy.....
Could you upload that two files?
I found that it dose not allowed me to copy that to any other folder.

Just had this same issue with my Tilt, and this fixed it - thanks! (good old search on XDA-developers!)
Found that trying to rename or copy the files wasn't allowed, using Resco Explorer, so I got the 2 files above that galt points to, and copied them into Windows.
Now I can stream www.thestreamcenter.com/pda again! (It used to work using WMP before I installed TCPMP, but once TCPMP was installed, it became the default and always starts up when I click on a site in IE. I don't know how, or if, you can stop TCPMP from jumping in - if I could just let WMP handle these particular streams that would have been fine, but I don't see an option in TCPMP to give up trying to handle them.)
i am currently using these codecs, and the WMA works flawlessley, however, the WMV has rather choppy playback, is there a way around this?
thanks in advance
Thank you for this!
these worked great thx!!!
and to get them to play less choppy choose video quality and use low or lowest - low usually works better - it aint great quality but its smooth at least!!
thx for the help!!!!
Hi, every time I try to download subtitles via the new download subtitles option in the 1.7.39 release, it finds the subtitles, downloads them, then I get a "Can't save downloaded subtitle *title.srt" error in a black box at the bottom of the screen. I've tried many times and always get this same result. I'm using MX Player Pro on my Galaxy Tab S 10.5. I can't share a picture of it as I am a new member. Is there anything I can do about this?
Thanks.

This message will be popped up if file can't be saved on both folders. Please check if your subtitle folder is selected correctly on Settings > Subtitle > Subtitle folder.

If video is not on local storage, it saves subtitle on the subtitle folder. It is typically /sdcard/Subtitles or a directory set on Settings > Subtitle > Subtitle folder.
Please check if your subtitle folder has writing permission.

I had downloaded some videos from official Adda247 learning app but i unable to play these videos in any other Player except adda247 due to Some kind of stupid extension (.EXO)
So, i go to the website and try to download videos from their but it also doesn't work.
Fortunately, I downloaded some PDF file with the help of [Developers Tool > Network > xhr]
I tried the same process for the videos .. it gave me ".m3u8" playlist file .
i downloaded every single file from m3u8 with the help of Jdownloader which gave me .TS format files (more than 100)
I merged all the parts by using this command line copy /b *.ts Video.mp4
And still the videos are now playing.
could anyone plz help me with this issue. the link of any random demo video - https://goo.gl/gUwFrN
Just help me to download this video!
I am currently using MX Player 1.32.8 with the 1.32 version armv8 32bit of the codec - on a Sony Android 4K TV and a Huawei P20 pro - subtitles are simply not displayed anymore as long as I use this latest codec - .1.32 neon arm8.
The only thing that works is loading external subtitles.
I've got the same issue. When I woke this morning I had to update the codec to 1.32 and now no embedded subtitles work.

MX Player Custom Codec [AC3,DTS,MLP,TRUEHD, etc..] | XDA Developers Forums (xda-developers.com)
As I posted in the link above:
What appears to work for the moment is stopping the settings for automatic apps updates from the Play Store on the Android TV and then install and use v1.26.7 with the 1.25 codec - which worked OK for me. I don't understand why the hell this app was updated if it botched the subtitle support for embedded subtitles in MKV files

What also works is to install the last version of MX player and force it to use the 1.25.0 codec (only by renaming the files inside the aio zipped codec version '1.25.0' by '1.32.0') ...
The problem with embedded subtitles comes from 1.32.0 codec, not from the app.
To be clear :
- Download 1.25.0 aio zipped codec
- Rename the files '1.25.0' by '1.32.0' inside the zipped file
- Use this codec with the last version of MX Player

Do not insult my intelligence. Don't you think I tried that already??!! Just because it works for you on your device, it does not mean it works for everybody else. So stop recommending it. I have a Sony 4K Android TV and if I install the 1.32 version of the app, it DOES NOT ACCEPT version 1.25 of the codec (as it is, renamed in archives or as a renamed direct file). It keeps asking for the new version - and the new version does not work well with the subtitles. Period. The codec compiler needs to work better on the ARM V 7 NEON version of this codec or else we get stuck with this irritating issue.
You should keep calm and relax. I just try to help you.
Because of my 'intelligence', I don't understand your reply.
Could you just be more precise describing what you exactly do ?
I can understand that it's very frustrating for you. Let's try to find a fix together.
Personally, I use MX Player (free version) 1.34.5 (ARMv7 NEON, custom codec 1.32.0) on an Android 10 TV Box.
Using original 1.32.0 codec, I couldn't see embedded subtitles, but forcing use of 1.25.0 codec solved the problem.
My understanding of the app asking for the new version of the codec is that you need to use files with 1.32.0 names. It works for me (using 1.25.0 version and cheating that it's 1.32.0 version).
And you're right, it can work for me and not for the others.
Clearly, it's a waste of time for me to explain again - I have used the 1.2.5 aio zip and file - renamed the files inside it to 1.32 and the player DID NOT accept the codec files - it kept asking for the new version of the codec - the app figured out the files have been merely renamed and not compiled as a new version - which can only mean that there is also an internal code in the file that specifies the codec version - it's not just in the name of the file. I am not a n00b - in my device, the player just refuses to work with or install the old codec on the new version 1.32.8 of the player.
It's not your fault, but I wish the codec compiler did a better job about all the files in the archive.
OK. Understood.
I guess 1.32.8 is the last version of the PRO player.
Perhaps, you could temporarily try to use the version 1.34.5 of the free player (apparently no limitations).
As the solution works also for the 1.32.8 version of the PRO player on some devices, I assume that the use of the version 1.34.5 of the free player could probably fail on your device ...
Why in the hell would I use the free version when I paid for PRO? As I said in my previous post - on my system - I am able to use the pro version 1.26.7 with the 1.25 version of the codec - I disabled the automatic updates and everything just works fine, like it did before the ****ty update. I like tech stuff, but my demanding job does not give me enough time to waste - so I'll probably try to check later versions of the app and codec. I now enjoy my MKVs as I used to, with embedded subtitles and all, so I'll stick to the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" rule for now. The only change in my usage of the player that I could see was that I no longer could see subtitles, everything else was pretty much the same.
I also understand that you wanted to help, thanks, but you need to be aware that not all systems work alike. As for the file renaming - I tried renaming the files, 4 methods -
1. extracting the files, rename and repack
2. rename the files directly in the zip archive with either Total Commander or WinRAR in PC.
3. extract and use the exact codec file that my TV needs for the player
4. rename the file directly in FX explorer on my TV
All failed. As I said before - ARM 7 NEON version the codec has been neglected by the codec compiler - that guy needs to update all the files the right way. If he did that the proper way from the get-go, this thread or other replies like mine in his thread would simply not exist.

I only register in this page only for say, that thing works for me, excuse my English.
I only rename the archive inside the zip of mx_neon64 directly with x-plore and works, thank you for your answer.
I tried the solution described above (renaming the contents of the zip file from 1.25.0 to 1.32.0) but it didn't work. What worked for me is to download the actual file (in my case libffmpeg.mx.so.neon.1.25.0) and rename it to libffmpeg.mx.so.neon.1.32.0.
The solution can depend on the version of MX Player you use and your device.
