how to unlock the 1700mhz band - Sony Xperia E3

Hi guys,
I'm currently traveling to the US for few weeks so I bought a T-Mobile sim. As my model is the 2203, it's missing the 1700mhz band so I can't connect to 3G/4G.
Any idea on how to activate the other band or how to switch to the US firmware?
Thanks!!

[Q] Can my nexus s bought in Europe work in 3G mod of AT&T

Hi, everyone, I am new here in US, and have got an sim card from AT&T. But when I put it into my Nexus s bought in Europe, it cannot work in 3G mod. My phone is i9023, and the radio, or so called baseband is I9023XXKD1
It is already unlocked, and I am wondering if it is possible for me to let it working in the 3G mod of AT&T by flashing a new baseband. Does anyone know? Thank u
Le sigh...
Unless your Euro Nexus has 3G on the 850/1900mhz bands (AT&T 3G bands), you won't get 3G on AT&T.

If this phone is anything like the orignal nexus one networkwise, it should work with T-mobile 3G.

[Q] How can I convert US Model XT1034 to Global GSM?

I bought a used Moto G and it's a US Retail Model (AWS 1700MHz).
Unfortunately this frequency band does not work in my country.
So I was wondering that is there any method to convert it to Global GSM (2100 MHz UMTS) so that I can use 3G on it?

XT1550 4G modem change?

After owning a dual-sim Moto G2, I knew I wanted a G3 with dual sims and 2GB RAM (16GB ROM). Unfortunately this isn't available in the UK so I bought one from eBay which came from a seller in India.
I don't NEED 4G as I have a mobile hotspot which works very well, but I don't take this everywhere with me. Is it possible to flash the modem or something to get 4G in the UK using this model?
Thanks,
Marc

This isn't just a modem thing, flashing a different modem will not enable the missing bands, that "feature" is buried deep in a secure partition of the device... And since there isn't a dual SIM 4G 16GB model in your country, until someone figures out how to unlock all the LTE bands in the device, there is no way to enable this at this time.

Thanks, I thought it was a long shot. I wasn't sure of the correct terms but I've just searched for "unlock lte bands" and it seems to have been done for some models, fingers crossed someone figures it out for the G3!
Cheers

Really?!? Wow maybe I can get this working then. A Wikipedia page (I can't post links just yet) says that India has 2300MHz (band 40) 4G frequency, whereas UK has 800, 1800 and 2600MHz according to a PC Advisor link which I also can't post
I'm on O2 (both sims - I know, a bit daft but that's what I've got) and I've confirmed 4G is enabled on both sims. I guess the frequency that India don't use, is the 800MHz one that O2 uses, yes? Sods law if so. But I'll be porting my number to another network ASAP if that is right..
Thanks

Mi4 network issues!! Please help...!!! :)

I bought Xiaomi mi4 64 gb from china last year. To my surprise only 2g network was connected and no 3g and LTE. I don't have much idea about it. I live in India, forget 4g, if there is any method through which I can connect my phone to 3g band I'll be grateful. If someone can explain me how to unlock all 3g bands and that will possibly connect the 3g band of India, it will be of great help. I have already used the phone in 2g network for a year and it's pain in the @ss. I found recently that by unlocking it is possible to use global bands. PLEASE HELP!!!!! THANK YOU!!!
Did you buy TD-LTE version? FDD-LTE is used in most countries.
Most probably YES
Probably Yes. Otherwise the problem of network might not be there.

Missing band (B8) on Note 4 (N910T). Any way to solve this by flashing?

Greetings to all!
I have a Samsung Note 4 (N910T) bought from T-Mobile USA and currently used in Europe where there's mobile cells using 900Mhz 3G (aka B8). Now, the N910T does not support that band and I am trying to find out whether there's a software solution to get that B8 band going on my N910T?
Any comments or suggestons are highly appreciated!
