I originally posted this for the oneplus one, but theoretically it should benefit any device using the snapdragon processor and maybe other processors too?
The code is found here:
https://www.codeaurora.org/xwiki/bin/Chromium+for+Snapdragon/WebHome
If you try to build it takes a long time to get the code so be patient.
Basically this is an optimized browser made for the snapdragon processor. I have been running it for a few weeks and it is pretty solid. Really fast. I did some benchmarks vs firefox and chrome and it is between 10% - 30% faster. It just seems snappier than other browsers (Chrome and Firefox). If any one can benchmark it against other browsers I would appreciate if you could post the results.
Here are images of the benchmarks.

Here is a screenshot of the browser

It asks for a bunch of permissions, but I am not sure which ones are actually necessary so I left it as is.
Also if you have an older version of the SWE browser you will have to uninstall it since I signed it with a different key.
Here is link to the download:
Play Store Link
I have put an updated version of swe browser on the play store. I have been using this for the last 3 weeks. I modified it slightly from the qualcomm version since the qualcomm version tries to launch apps from google search.
This is the m42 version with the AD blocking.
This is probably the best browser out there in my opinion.
It looks and feels like aosp browser and it's pretty good, if only it had account sync and quick controls like the aosp it'd be just perfect.
SS not working
Oh i'm so excited to try this! A while back I read about this and have always wanted to try it. The problem is no one was actively building it and I didn't want to try building it myself. Thanks for taking the time to build it.
Fc on galaxy note 4 running kitkat 4.4
This works amazingly good on my note 2 stock 4.4.2, will you be able to put in features like closing all browser tabs at once?
Any mirror? I can't get over 15kb/s download
Is the size of your browser justified ? Cause many other are smaller except chrome ....
@magic_man
Hello, I've been trying to compile m46 for a few days now and i'm too running into problems.
The main problem I've been facing is when im trying to run gclient sync.
It says that the URL in the gclient is different that the one in the local checkout (~./src).
The first one is git://codeaurora.org/quic/chrome4sdp/chromium/[email protected]/remotes/origin/m46
While the second is git://codeaurora.org/quic/chrome4sdp/chromium/src
Any ideas?
I would just try deleting it and trying again. Can you post your .gclient file?
The download link does not work anymore.

It's the one from here:
https://www.codeaurora.org/xwiki/bin/Chromium+for+Snapdragon/m42_build_instructions but instead of m42 it's m46. Anyway I think i found out the solution to that. It's because i have first used:
git clone git://codeaurora.org/quic/chrome4sdp/chromium/src and then ran gclient sync.
Anyways, as the instructions on the code aurora wiki are not very clear can you please tell me the exact steps to build m46?

I've been trying to build m46 for the past week and I have yet to build it. Last week I was able to build m42, so I don't know what's happening now. When I try syncing it'll all go fine until it tries to sync libjingle and then it'll throw an error at me.
Code:
Error: Command 'git checkout --quiet 9f1700be598c4d99a0ee3bc1d3810df6fca899b4' returned non-zero exit status 128 in /home/user/swe/src/third_party/libjingle/source/talk
fatal: reference is not a tree: 9f1700be598c4d99a0ee3bc1d3810df6fca899b4
Warnings:
Conflicting directory /home/user/swe/src/third_party/libjingle/source/talk moved to /home/user/swe/_bad_scm/src/third_party/libjingle/source/talkXLyf_k.
I don't entirely know what's wrong, is it something with their DEPS file? I noticed libjingle was moved to webrtc, and the real commit can be found here.
So, anybody know what to do?
I resolved all my previous problems and i've been facing the same issue too. Does anyone know how to solve it?

Firefox 4 Beta for Android was just released and announced by the Firefox team! The beta 1 of Firefox for Android is now available for download from the website.
Awesome! Thanks for the news
force close on htc legend 2.1
29mb DAMN!! i hope it alot better then the last Fennec. downloading now and will update on how it operates on the Hero.
***EDIT***
doesnt work on the Hero
force close on wildfire froyo
Can anyone get this started? It won't run on my ZTE Blade (Android 2.1/MSM7227).
Screenshots would be nice, if anyone can get it running!
Runs on my Moto Droid
A couple of screens as requested:
First run:
Fugly fonts* when zoomed-out:
Crisp fonts* when zoomed-in:
No flash:
Performance was horrible on my Nexus One (Cyanogenmod Nightly clocked at 1036 MHz) and pinch-to-zoom was a kinda wonky compared to the default browser. Haven't tested addons, sync, etc yet and I don't think I will, everything was just too slow to bother. Hopefully they'll improve that and if you're lucky enough it might perform better on your device.
*Note that I'm using the new Ubuntu font instead of the default Droid Sans. Droid Sans might scale better when zoomed, although the Ubuntu font looks ok in the default browser even when zoomed out a lot. Anyway, don't take the font thing too seriously unless someone confirms it.
Hope this helped somehow.
Runs awesome on my vibrant
Layout is similar to dolphin HD with the swipe L/R for settings etc.
Scrolling is a tad glitchy having occasional hang ups
Pinch zooming is good but text takes a few seconds to re-render
Downloads are nicely handled too... I downloaded a 4.4 mb mp3 simply by clicking download no extra menus... It instantly puts a notification up that says it's downloading therm changes to let you know its done
So far so good for beta needs improvement but this is a huge leap from the alpha I tried a few months ago
Sent from my SGH-T959
Edit: found the minimal requirements page.
Not working on my samsung gt i5500 can be hardware requirements not satisfied, I have to search more about it.
Works on my HTC HD2 with Mdeejay FroYo HD v.3.4.
in my hero don't work.
froyo 2.2
when i open the aplication, it close...
I installed the Beta on my Desire without any glitches...However, Firefox 4 takes almost 50MB of the internal space after my first run without visiting any site... using the browser is a pain...Desire slows down by atleast 30% of its original speed... Better with alternate available options...
Running on my Galaxy S, stock firmware.
No flash though, and doesnt run the built-in YouTube player..
Works on my HD2 running mdeejay's Desire Z based ROM; performance is horrible, though.
I really like the idea of having a Firefox-ish experience on my cellphone, as it's my preferred browser on PC as well, but it simply performs too badly for me to consider using regularly at this point.
i cant download from the link in first post
plz somone upload in xda. tanx
why are you guys posting the problems here.
just go to their page and post issues with their browser there.
works with hyperdroid....but still can't play farmville... Hope the final release can play flash

Same here (on an Incredible). 46MB?!?!?! WTF??? Worse yet, despite the fact that I still have 400MB of phone storage, 2GB of sdcard storage, and 2GB of internal storage left, I continued to get the "Low on space" warning after installing FF, and the accompanying inability to install/update anything from the market that comes with this warning. I uninstalled, and all is well again.

Because this is a discussion thread about Firefox 4b for Android, and so we are discussing Firefox 4b for Android.
Epic 4g, it runs okay, I seem to have some rendering problems when creating a new tab. As in the link loads but the page stays blank.
Dolphin, Opera, and SkyFire(Best). Are still all better options currently. This is still beta though....very beta.
XDA TV (Dark Edition) v1.2
Warning: If the app isn't working, just drop me an email or post the problem here, you don't need to rate the app with 1 star and comment like: "The app isn't working". Thanks for the support
Now you can have all the XDA TV videos wherever you go using this application. Now on your phone, if you have a tablet you should get it here, also you can get the "normal theme" version here.
As many of you have seen, the tablet application got an update, featuring a new feed(that is hosted on my own server), description text and a poster image for each video. I'm now working to bring all of this to the phone version, so stay tuned. Maybe later today it will be finished
I've been working on this for a week. Making the layout using HTML and CSS3 was easy, but I got a lot of problems while trying to make the code work on Android, so I took a bit more to match the code for Android. At the time I can't find another way to open up the videos without firing up the browser to redirect to the Video application, the OS has a lot of problems with HTML5 Video tag so I've done it like this.
The technologies used on this application:
PhoneGap
iScroll
jQuery
HTML5 and CSS3

Hi, don't know if this is just me but the app doesn't work for me. I get no response when i click on the icon. I am running a DHD with CM7 in case that helps. I'll give the normal verion a go now and see if that works.
EDIT: I uninstalled and installed the 'normal' phone version, i get a bit further: a black screen and then an application error "THe connection to the server was unsuccessful. (file:///android_asset/www/index.html)"
Hope that helps?
I have also a problem, i cant select the first item in the list. (Phone Edition)

First Problem: I'm trying to solve this. Strangely PhoneGap is having bugs to work on some ROMs.
Second Problem: That means the app took too long to contact the server(usually because your connection is slow at the time). Just try again and it might work.

I have the same problem as in the "EDIT:" above...
The "The connection to the server was unsuccessful. (file:///android_asset/www/index.html)" problem will be rolling out tomorrow, since it's a server fix and I'll only have time to do it tomorrow, this is happening because your connection might be slow and the app is trying to fetch the entire XDA TV library(all the episodes since the first one), which is causing timeouts. The solution will be to remove the very very old episodes, making the list smaller and reducing the problems with timeouts.
A new version of the app might come out later that will support reading the "old archive", which will be created tomorrow.
PS: I'm having tests this week on the university, plus I need to work, so I'm not having much time to develop
Thanks, will await the fix

Just pushed the server-side fix. I'll be working to replace the black screen on the opening with a fancy splash screen
The feed doesn't seem to be updating on this app. Been checking it for a bit now and it doesn't update while there are newer episodes out. The last one showing on this app is "Nexus, Ice Cream Sandwich, and a Contest to win an HTC Amaze 4G", which is a bit outdated. Anyone else having this problem?
-Mike
Sorry, I've been working hard and also trying to completely redesign the XDA TV app so I can't update the feed, but I'll try to do it today.

Cute. It's rather S Note-like. Line drawing feels smooth. Weird bug with the clipart in drawing mode. When you draw on top of some clipart such as a grid or graph axes, the eraser erases both the drawing and background.

I saw myself the official dev's website that advertised the v.1.0 update (March 25, 2013).
But it seems that now, in the same website, the latest version is returned the v.0.6.4...
UPDATED version
There's an updated version of Awesomnote in the last fw for the Galaxy Note 8.0 3G/WIFI (DBT N5100XXBMF1) that came out few hours ago.
The new version number is 1.0.3 (the previous one was 0.6.4)
I've extracted it and I'm trying it. The install was ok and I was asked if I wanted to replace the previous version's app.
It works (on my GT-N8000) but I can't tell yet what's new/improved at the moment.

Andy breaks down the barrier between desktop and mobile computing, while keeping a user up to date with the latest Android OS feature upgrades. It also provides users with unlimited storage capacity, Windows and Mac compatibility, and the freedom to play the most popular mobile games on a desktop. With phone as a joystick, you will never have to sacrifice the multi-touch or gyro elements of gaming, and thanks to seamless connection between desktop and mobile, you can receive a SnapChat phone picture on the street and see it on your desktop at home or just download Whatsapp for pc.

I think site should provide the full package for slow internet connection.
Sorry, why to put this on XDA Forums after almost a year of its availability?
It might not make much of a difference with desktop PC's but, something limited in CPU performance Andy OS doesn't seem to run well, tested on my T100TA (x86 baytrail tablet) was choppy and laggy. DuOS runs extremely well on the same tablet, worth noting and trying if you have the same or similar device.

I believe there is, check their Facebook page. It's still going to be the same size whether the installer downloads the required files or you download a large setup package.
Facebook launced an official facebook lite app. It is only available in some countries, but there are already some apk files on the web. The following article covers it, and offers an apk. I've scanned that apk with some online scanners: result2.1 result 1.4 result 1.5

There's also a thead on the Nexus subforum, and on androidautority but I haven't tried those apk's

If someone has a cleaner way of getting the app, please let us know
Thoughts
I've had this on my phone for day now. The nice thing is that you actually get notifications, which site wrappers as tinfoil for facebook don't have. Also facebook messenger is still in the app. It does seem a bit laggy sometimes (at least in my Xperia S), but not more than a site wrapper does. Since this app is really small, consumes less data and has notifications, it's a keeper for me!
Note
the 1.4.0.6.14-9-minAPI8 and onwards, are newer I think, the 2.1 must have been a wrong filename, thanks to @lingowistico for the share (x2)
Note 2
I'm not updating this post myself anymore, hopefully it can still be used to share apk's that have been 'scanned' While this is not a full guarantee for safety, it's the best I could think off. The scanners I used were: https://apkscan.nviso.be/ and https://anubis.iseclab.org/
App won't install on my i9500 running 5.0.2.

The idea behind the app sounds really nice. There are still some countries where mobile internet is quite expensive for the mb like here in Germany. (Contract is one year old and I pay 25€ for 500mb with calls and stuff).
Runs on my Xperia z1 with cm12 but the performance isn't the best yet. But I am looking forward for the future patches.
It is safe.

working just fine on HTC ONE S with latest CM12
Working on my Xperia U , but yesterday came out an application update =)
not working on my find7
Installed and Working fine on OnePlus One running a flavor of CM12. Scrolling is bad. Real bad. Scrolling is actually very smooth on facebook mobile site in a browser or a site wrapper app. But it supports notifications so thats a plus. Guess I am going to official heavy weight app for now but will be checking again to see if there are improvements.
Thanks OP for sharing.
Everything about it is great except the scrolling. Srs.

With the latest update (1.3.0.5.11 ) scroling is not laggy but the scroling animation is choppy.
