[Q] sony xperia c walkman app stops detecting music after rooting - Sony Xperia C

Hi, I recently rooted my sony xperia c. The inbuilt walkman app stops detecting music after a while. I have cleared the walkman data and media storage but the problem still exists. What shall I do? Is it possible that rooting has caused this problem, if so how can I fix it. Thanks

Try a factory reset but make a nandroid first

Clear data and clear delvk cache using CWM

apps remain untouched

my phone is xperia x8 and i installed FroyoBread v023b FINAL rom in this forum.
but the apps i had before, are remained untouched. i want a "complete format" so i wiped all system data(factory reset) from xrecovery and re-installed the froyo rom
but result is the same. i even formatted the sd card and deleted all data including my pics and videos etc, and re-installed the rom but all those apps are in my phone now
how can i solve that problem?
is it related ext1, ext2 etc?
what apps do you mean?system apps? why dont you just install titanium backup and uninstall em

Deleted a file from Android\data

I've deleted a file from android data and was wondering if its an app or system data(not sure if those can be deleted) on my Sony Xperia U, checked most apps but all are fine, is it possible if I had deleted a system data?
And so if I did will hard reset fix it? cause now i cant find the app that I deleted.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
A hard reset will fix this problem.
If you cannot detect any problems you are fine. But to be safe I would recommend a hard reset.

Issue with music after a restore

Hi guys.
I've got a nexus 5 running CyanogenMod and I had to restore from a backup. Before that my main SD card was wiped.
Since the restore I've found that Google music and Apollo only seem to see the old music listed in my music folder and not the latest stuff. Is there something I can do to clear this?
I've tried clearing the cache and app data for both apps but it hasn't worked.
Any ideas?

Clear data of mediastore.

[Completed] Random apps keep installing by themselves.

i do nothing but many apps automatically install in my note 1 continuously and also there is no option for uninstall. they also cause starting automatic wifi and data connection. i have tried formating usb storage, factory reset and wipe data but still facing same problem.
Hello there, thank you for using XDA Assist.
Your issue seems to be a rogue app of some sort trying to download all that bloatware on your phone. I suggest uninstalling any unwanted or new app that you installed recently and maybe that will help fix the issue.
Btw what device do you have?
