I'm wondering if anyone can take a look at the logcat and see what could be the problem with bbm. Been crashing once a day I'm the the latest version of Optipop with PA gaaps (nano), code blue kernel, and data and cache is f2fs. pastebin.com/TRVqj72w please and thanks

Would I be able to run stock on secondary? And I have data and cache partions in f2fs, does that matter for Multirom?? And can i run stock with f2fs partions as mentioned?? Thanks
BBM sucks it drains battery like crazy, remains active all the time for no reason, and that notification is plain annoying, but, maybe check by greenify

IDK, it was just a suggestion to quickly see. If you have F2FS it may not happen.
I used BBM everyday on my N5 since it was released and never had a single issue, it never crashed or froze on me. I am using it now on my Moto X and it is working the same way, only problem I have now is that Moto display will not show a BBM notification on my lock screen like it does for everything else.

It seems fine by me. Doesn't notice the battery drain that much But then I would have to try without it to see how much it will improve.
It could be the memory leak issue affecting random apps. I haven't found anything yet to confirm this, but I have been restarting my phone about once and day and will keep trying to see if that helps. Otherwise, thanks for the suggestions and help

Based on CM7, this is a ROM that provides a basic experience while keeping all features.
Working:
Pretty much everything.
The goods:
zipaligned
Minumum RAM usage
Using T-Mobile/ CM7 theme engine
Fully customizable
4G (maybe- not availible where I live.)
Standard Gingerbread launcher
Note: the messaging app might fail to send any messages. To fix this, go to settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all -> messaging -> clear data. Then restart your device.

J just flashed this rom. Last night and I'm having trouble with the market. I can't download anything due to an error I seen this before. All I had to do to fix it force close and clear data.... I did this several times and nothing. I also restarted the phone couple time and nothing. And I get that annoying Google talk notification that it's trying to connect or whatever. I don't even use that app how can I stop that and fix the market.....I flashed the 201108 something gapps...
Help please thanks

I have not seen this issue before, even with several re-flashes of the ROM. Go back to the recovery, wipe everything but the SD card and flash both files again. Might be your data connection. Can you specify this error or even better send us screen caps of it? Just hold power button and tap Screenshot.

For the market errors, try going into language and keyboard, select any other English language. Open market then close the market. Go back into language and select united states English again. This was recommended and it worked for me. Also, adding an additional Gmail account was recommended as well. Good luck.

There is really only one GB AOSP rom other than CM that can't be considered a kang in one way or another. That's SalvageMod. Really there is no shame in the kang, so long as the dev gives proper creds. (Which he did) I have a couple here in dev section myself.
Congrats to the OP on your first offering, I for one will be watching your progress. Hit me up anytime if you think I can help you out.

Hi! I'm new here, but i am a bit experienced in stuff...
Anyway, when i got my Tab 2 7.0, i did flash it to Cyanogen. Now, i am on RC2
Now, i am stuck on a question: "Should i get ParanoidAndroid 3+ or stay on CyanogenMod?"
I *can't* find any clear opinions, bug list, installation instructions or kernels... ( I know what is Factory Reset, but "Wipe Everything"? )
So i ask your help, guys. ParanoidAndroid seems an A+++ rom for me, as i like costumization. No, do not ask me to get Xposed, it's already hard as it is for me.
So thanks guys!
Full wipe just means clear the caches in clockworkmod

They also recommend formatting the internal sdcard, which i sometimes do, because it is easy to end up with multiple 0 directories, factory reset skips formating data/media.

Choose both, boot it with blackhawk next kernel
The only kernel with dual boot support for the tab 2
Send from invader Zim's spaceship.
search on internet for Rom called jelly bam its awesome and its a combine pac Rom.
it uses latest cyanogenmod build and have paranoid android incorporated.
it will be best for u .i think so
I flashed paranoidandroid on my Tab2-p3100 but i had problem with the mic, which was not working at all.
I never flashed cyanogenmod on my tab (may be I am afraid of the term "nightly" makes it seem very unstable, you know!, though, they say they are as stable as they come).
Now there is this PAC-ROM , claims to have all-in-one features of all the roms together, i flashed it as well, it was also a good rom to test, but there were some bugs in it (you can refer to the thread), now I am using Adishakti's Dark-Fantasy-2 rom, which is a modded paranoidandroid+AOSP+ maybe caynogenmod ROM but it is really very good and stable, least of glitches i noticed elsewhere
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212582
That would be my opinion about it.

I agree, also. I think it is funny how people go crazy over ROMs which are just other roms modified to the makers preferences. Not to say the makers do not deserve credit for their hard work, but why not take a good ROM and mod it to your own liking. Just an opinion.

Wow, so many comments on my "2cents"
Maybe my comment was perceived as "noob rant"
I had some experience with cyanogenmod in the past with some older phones (gingerbread ones) and definitely i was hooked to it then. But like I said, I was just afraid to try it on my Tab because of that dreadful suffix to it, and Luigi, your comment has really moved me
I am a member at cyanogenmod forum for last 2 years by the same name and I think on this forum too by the same name.
I actually had nothing much to post on xda previously because almost everything I wanted to know was already posted and i used this forum's knowledge to flash friends' phones mostly and had no experience of anything i used so nothing to post, but, since I now own a Galaxy tab P3100 and most of the time I am reading this section about the tab, I just wanted to share what i thought appropriate, that's all.
Thanks for pointing out that the rom I was talking about is a modded PAC-ROM, and I think what one flashes and uses is a matter of personal choice, i just shared my opinion as i think the OP asked for that.
Thanks for the comments

Actually I had a huge backup of applications but I happen to read the SGT2 cyanogenmod nightly thread and right there in the first or second post users are warned against using titanium backup to restore apps. And I thaought, what the hell, maybe I need to wipe Internal memory clean from time to time so why not now.
Somewhere in the forum a new app backup software is suggested, "helium backup"! Any experience with that?
So now we are going way off topic
Back to the topic, after using the new ROM whole night (seriously I was on a night shift!), I found out it to be lot better than someone else's modded version, I used "PimpMyRom" to my heart's content!!!!!

Hi guys =)
After I unlocked bootloader and flashed a custom Kernel, my phone started freezing and sometimes it gets stuck on a bootloop. I've flashed two custom Kernels and the stock one, but nothing seems to help My phone freezing happens frequently. And I can notice some glitches when listening to music or using Chrome. Sometimes I'm doing nothing and it freezes. After a couple of minutes frozen I can use it again.
Do you have any idea on how to fix it? It's quite annoying if I must say.

fauxsound coding is actually done in my private build, but HTC did something non-standard and is conflicting with fauxsound kernel drivers.. that's why i didn't release it yet.. need to troubleshoot and see what HTC has done to the standard sound driver from Qualcomm...
HTC always do something different from everyone else including the reference design from Qualcomm.... Sometimes they OVER engineered...
So, something weird has been happening of late with my phone. During normal use, it suddenly hangs for a few seconds and then crashes, BSoD! I thought that was only exclusive to Windows. It has happened over 4-5 times now(in time span of a week) and I'm getting concerned. It certainly isn't ROM/Kernel issue as I've changed from Omni to Slim to CM, with stock kernel or others. The only thing I haven't tried is reverting back to Sony's stock ROM (because installing drivers on Windows 8 is absolute pain in the ass).
Here are a couple of images. http://i.imgur.com/9VtrxHl.jpg; http://i.imgur.com/E24EC2f.jpg (Please ignore the smudge )

Tried finding them, they sure don't consume large memory or I'd have noticed. Yeah just downloading the stock ftf and figuring out xperia drivers on Windows 8.
Edit: Just saw that the crush dumb was indeed of considerable size. 1.05GB.
Its a common problem in kitkat based rom. can't avoid unless you move to stock

Thanks for telling me that! I actually hadn't faced it before and in last week I kept facing it again and again so thought it might be something to do with H/w, my friend who also has XL isn't facing it. I'll move to stock if it keeps happening.

Currently, CyanogenMod. Happened on Omni ROM too.
I originally faced it on Omni, then switched to CM. Still facing it I'll do a full wipe and try. I haven't tried reverting back to Sony's stock ROM yet. And yeah, thanks for pointing out the typo.

You can try flashing the stock firmware(I'd recommend the latest), then doing a clean install I believe that would fix it. Also you might wanna delete those bsod error dumps. They might eat up your storage, idk where they're located though :L

In the External SD CARD, this BSoD problem happened to me as well at that time i was on CM11. I thought my phone got bricked but i was wrong, i pulled the battery out and then everything worked just fine and there were no issues Regarding BSoD after that, PS-I am still using CM11 Nightly Release!
I faced it when using CM Nightly, Never faced it again on Candy Kat give it a try.
