J just flashed this rom. Last night and I'm having trouble with the market. I can't download anything due to an error I seen this before. All I had to do to fix it force close and clear data.... I did this several times and nothing. I also restarted the phone couple time and nothing. And I get that annoying Google talk notification that it's trying to connect or whatever. I don't even use that app how can I stop that and fix the market.....I flashed the 201108 something gapps...

I've been running CM7 for quite a while and it's been my daily since I am fed up with Sense and memory hogs. Been SENSEless for a while now... so I might give this one a try when I see a bit more development. I DO like the stock launcher instead of another software layer...
Just asking... would this be considered a KANG? Please enlighten me.

I have not seen this issue before, even with several re-flashes of the ROM. Go back to the recovery, wipe everything but the SD card and flash both files again. Might be your data connection. Can you specify this error or even better send us screen caps of it? Just hold power button and tap Screenshot.

For the market errors, try going into language and keyboard, select any other English language. Open market then close the market. Go back into language and select united states English again. This was recommended and it worked for me. Also, adding an additional Gmail account was recommended as well. Good luck.

There is really only one GB AOSP rom other than CM that can't be considered a kang in one way or another. That's SalvageMod. Really there is no shame in the kang, so long as the dev gives proper creds. (Which he did) I have a couple here in dev section myself.
Congrats to the OP on your first offering, I for one will be watching your progress. Hit me up anytime if you think I can help you out.

Hello everyone! Here is something new for you all to play with. This is the TouchWiz 4.0 Launcher on the SGSII for KC1 and KD1. THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH MY DEODEXED BUILDS. Download the respective zip for your build and flash through clockworm mod recovery (you read me right!). The KC1 version CAN be flashed over the lockscreen mod from my other thread.

Make sure you're running my dedoexed build. This will NOT work on the official T-mobile release.

Oh, so to install this i would just have to put it in root of sd, then go to flash from sd, choose and flash it? ( do i need to wipe anything?)

Flashed with cwm and running fine. I like this version of tw much better. It's less Iphoney--It doesn't have those colored boxes behind the app icons in the app drawer. It also seems to be pretty snappy.
I will probably use this for my main launcher which I am surprised to say about a version of TW...lol. Great job on this!

Download to sdcard and then boot into cwm and look for install zip from sdcard, not the flash update.zip option. U will see your sdcard file layout find the file u downloaded and install. Hope this helps. Also when u reboot hit home and go to preferences and uncheck Landscape. It was causing force close on me everytime.

I noticed issues if I tried to use more than 5 icons on the dock. Also get a black screen if I use my samsung desk home app. Not a big deal but only happens with sgs 4g not my vibrant both running tw 4.
Love tw 4.... never thought I would see love and touch wiz together.

Hmm. I reflashed KD1 and installed.beta 3 cw again, and it still keeps rebooting constantly. Im lost. When i get home i guess i could try odin.

I tried using GPS Test to see if gps work, but the GPS is seen as off in the app even though GPS satellites are turned on in settings.

Tried flashing Beta2 from AOKP three times now and each time, Superuser has been broken. Was thinking I might have messed something up earlier, but validated that Superuser still works fine in other roms.
Also, flashing Beta2 straight leads into a recovery bootloop. To get it to properly flash, I needed to flash AOKP and then immediately flash Beta2 after. Flashing Beta2 onto AOKP... bootloop.
Any information I should pull to help figure out what's going on? Next step for me is going to be flashing Beta1 and seeing if that has working Superuser, and then if updating from Beta1 to Beta2 keeps it alive...
Edit: Beta1 has the same issue. Pure-flash gives recovery bootloop. Flashing AOKPr4 into AOKPCB Beta1 gives broken Superuser.

Delightful... figured it out. The CM9 Aries preview (8/19) breaks rooting. Full wipe fixes it, wasn't actually a AOKPCB problem. Additionally, it makes Aroma think that it's still a Froyo rom, not even Gingerbread. Again, not an AOKPCB problem, but I mentioned it here.
Anyways, full wipe of everything (except SD card) made this flashable with working Superuser. Thanks! Looks interesting.
A different issue that I noticed with AOKPCB is that the SD Card is repeatedly referred to as "USB Storage" which can make things a bit confusing when you aren't connected to your computer. Just a bad localization string, I'm guessing. The spot I notice this the most is in Manage Applications... the USB Storage tab.
Okay, semi-n00b question. Since this is a 'based on AOKP' ROM, should I look in one of those threads for "what works/what doesn't" stuff?

Right now I am manually changing all my dock icons with metrostation pack, using Nova Launcher Prime, but a matching integrated icon theme would be much nicer. I am also using a modded sms app with inverted colors, but it just kinda matches, obviously. Thanks in advance.

This is the Icon pack I am using now. But it is not optimal for Nova since it doesn't theme the drawer icons and each shortcut has to be assigned manually. Nova seems to have better support for ADW themes, so I was hoping more for a PCB themed ADW theme. I was thinking the Metro theme would look awesome if the inside of the circles had a blue PCB background like in this icon pack for TSF Shell, but the cricle and the icons remained white.
I attached the modified MMS.apk I am using and the stock Contacts.apk.
Also I just noticed that the Navigation app keeps disappearing from my system. I reinstalled Maps several times, cleared caches, etc, but it seems to stop working right after the first time launching it. I did a full wipe, even formatted my SD card before installing this ROM and never had that hapen before, it's almost as if the app was corrupting, but I did not move it to my SD card. :/
Edit: Actually it would be even cooler if the icons could match the lockscreen icon.

It has tiny font cause I set its density to 200dpi by default - cause its given me best experience , if u dont like it, u can set the build.prop, at the density line to 240 and everythig should be ok (or flash another font I provided to have thicker font...other than that, I have no issues except ones from OP

I had no problems with installation. I experienced slight lag while scrolling apps, but I'm sure the Rom just needed to cook some more before I started messing with stuff lol. I loved the tiny font, the settings menu scrolls like butter and the response time for bringing up the multitask menu is amazingly fast.

a few times a day typically - so its just me experiencing this, eh?
@MatisyahuSerious haven't had that problem. I deleted all my music but i tried test tones for ya. No error though the test is only 5 seconds.
Does it stop in the middle or at the begining?
Could be a corrupt file?
And as for the lag in the app drawer I mentioned earlier, haven't had the problem since i jumped back into the rom.

I am loving the rom however It is not allowing me to download a lot of my apps from the playstore. I recently wanted to load my lose it app but it tells me that my device is not supported. What does the play store see the phone as? Thank you in advance.
Edit build.prop and change dpi to 240 or you might be able to do it from the actual settings menu.

Working on getting MiuiHome to work... This is not just aokp with mihome over it as for the popup still trying to figure it out myself... If I find a way I will post it for you.

miuihome needs some libs and xbin files to run properly. That's why you get fc's when just installing the apk..

If you wait for a while the included launcher will update to the latest version and themes work fine until I can figure out how to get the new launcher to work..

How to submit a bug.
When you submit a bug you want to make sure that nothing from your side is causing it.
Otherwise I might be hunting a bug which doesn't really exist.
The best way to achieve this is by doing the following.
Make a nandroid backup.
Perform a full wipe (factory reset + wipe /system)
Now we have two different ways depending on what kind of problem do you're having.
--When you're having a problem with a ROM function flash just the ROM without GAPPS etc. and boot back into the system. You will boot directly onto the homescreen.
--When you're having a problem with a 3rd party app in combination with our ROM then flash the ROM and GAPPS.
Boot now back into the system. You will boot to the setup wizard.
Log in to your Google account but make sure that you untick "Restore from my Google Account to this phone/tablet".
Finish the setup and open the playstore and download only the app you're having problems with.
Start a logcat recording and reproduce the bug (if possible more than once) while taking the logcat. If you don't know how to get a logcat read this tutorial or this.
Post the logcat in a txt file or on pastebin (this is important because you otherwise clog up the threads with your log) in the correct thread.
Please also write detailed how we can reproduce the bug.
Restore your backup from point 1 and wait for a fix (don't ask for ETAs).

FYI, installed A2SD, HammerSlammer, maxwoz GPS fix, and gapps 4.2.2 version at same time I flashed the rom. So far everything is running as expected. Haven't had much chance to play with it, but I'm sure someone is going to ask about your kernel and a2sd. Now to go finish chopping wood.

Excuse for the date..... I updated CM last night and I still had April on the brain from the cm initial release, I'll fix it.

You mention in the OP about a2sd testing, but when I went to terminal it said a2sd was not found. Should I flash it in recovery or is there an init.d issue?

A2SD works, but I did not include it. Init.d support is there as usual.
