Hello.
I went out and got myself a Mini pc the other day. But i don´t have much info to go on about it. It was a spur of the moment impulse buy. I was intentinally only looking for an hdmi cable. But that´s another story.
And i was wondering if there is someone here on xda that might be able to shed some light.
The brand is EZY. Model name is D71. Bought it here in the Philippines.
It´s running on Android 4.2, and i was able to install a few apps last night. But i don´t know what´s under all that plastic, so to say.
The info i have at the moment is what i can find in old online ads:
* 4.0 gb internal memory ( i can only locate 800mb?)
* remote signal receiver
* usb 2.0 input
* Micro sd card slot (up to 32 gb)
* IR Signal Reciever (comes with a remote)
* hdmi cable 1080p
Sometimes listed as "Internet Dongle" or "Wifi Dongle"
Update: As i check "About device" it states D7X. On the network it shows CVTE as manufacturer. Not sure if any of this helps.
Hi, Try this one cvte.cn/product/product-dongle/
That's the only info that I found., sorry
You can also download antutu benchmark it has system information tab, aswell as cpuz both are free from google playstore

HI Guys,
have just picked up my new XDA mini S - traded in the XDA2s and must say it is a great and stable device.
However, having some problems locating sat nav software for it - O2 do not have any and Tom Tom state they do not support the mini s.
Only difficulty I can see is that it is running mobile 5 and has a mini SD card.
If anybody could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated
Hi,
My best advice: tomtom 5 for PDA or Destinator PDA comes in a box, with software and maps (depending on your budget, either just UK or more countries)
You will then need a good sized blank mini sd card, 512mb minimum i would say.
You will also need a bluetooth gps unit (holux/etam/tomtom etc) as wired units will not work with your new xda mini s as it runs a mini usb port.
Then you bung the cd into your pc, and sync your mini s through activesync, and install the programme via the interface to you device. It will then install maps via active sync to your mini sd card.
Activate the set up on request, Set up the gps unit, and boom job done.
If you need any help mounting your new mini s, have a look at my site, and also other bits and bobs that may be of use.
If you need any help, drop me a PM or reply.
Hope thats of use!

Hello sorry if i am posting in the wrong place but the android section said no noobs.
I have bought today a cheap import android device, it comes with a rubbish Marketplace not the official one. Is this a licence issue? if so then i apologise for my thread
If not how can i get all the official goggle apps on my device.
I have downloaded and installed z4root and it seems to work but i don't know how to use it. (i have no usb adapter from my ebay purchase)
when i try and install the vending.apk it fails using the default package manager (labled PK manager on the slate) I have also tried through ASTRO but this just redirects to the previous manager mentioned.
The android version i have is not real afaik
Firmware 1.6
Kernel 2.6.29-00236-g4f8dbbb-dirty
Build 1.9
Shows v1.9_710cu on boot up
What i am after is plainly a functioning slate for use in the uk and without the Marketplace this seems a way off (my wife needs to be able to use too so dropping apk's on the SD is not really an option)
So my question(s)
Can i install goggle apps including marketplace
Can i use an android image from elsewhere (i doubt this with import hardware)
Do i need a usb cable (hope not as i think it is a proprietary connection)
I have a SD card in it, a wireless connection up running and a wealth of OS's on pc's around the house Windows, unbubtu, mint etc..
Any help would be much appreciated (if i'm not breaking the rules here)
Cheers

some progress
i have managed to get "better terminal emulatior Pro" installed, is it possible to use this to install vending.apk? if so what format would the command line be?
I need to connect an external USB Cam to a Smartphone to be used with Skype video conferencing (on the Smartphone !), with the ability to switch from internal Cam (front/rear) to external during the conference.
I would like also to have this feature, if possible, on my Galaxy S with Android 2.3.3 (without USB Host mode)
or at least on a Galaxy tablet with USB Host mode, running Android 4.xx
Any way ? Any solution ?
thanks in advance
First of all you need a kernel which supports usb hosting.
I wrote that it is also OK for Tablet with Android 4.xxx
And then ?
Interesting. My tablet got extra usb host. Hoping to know it.

Hello folks,
there are portable network storages with built-in WiFi and battery available like CloudFTP, Seagate Goflex Satellite etc. I always wanted such a thing because I could put all my music on this network storage, mount the storage on my tablet file system with CIFS Manager and use PowerAMP to index and access the music files in a comfortable manner. For me, it's important that the device has hotspot functionality because I want to be able to use the server even when no other WiFi or other wireless connection is available.
I had the CloudFTP, and it worked somehow, but it was very unreliable and in fact unusable (there are many complaints about lacking QC in the respective forums, by the way...) and I returned it. And the Goflex Satellite is only usable with a hacked firmware which is $35, so it's way too expensive.
So I had the following idea: My rooted SGS2 has mobile hotspot functionality and the app "Samba Filesharing" which works good. Why not use the phone instead of a CloudFTP?? Just connect a USB disk drive to the phone, and here you go!
Up to now, I can indeed access the storage on the phone from my (of course also rooted) Nexus 7 over a file manager like ES File Explorer. Works really well and easily fast enough! For watching videos or accessing documents this would be sufficient and the story would end here - but for using PowerAMP or Gonemad Music Player I have to MOUNT the server storage, otherwise indexing is impossible!
CIFS Manager seems not to be able to mount the server share! It always says that there is not such a device.
I already tried different URLs like "/192.168.43.1/" or "/192.168.43.1/SDCARD" or "192.168.43.1/sdcard" or "192.168.43.1/ANDROID" etc. - all with no success! :crying:
What am I doing wrong? Or is mounting not possible in this case??
Could someone test this on his setup and possibly suggest working settings parameters for CIFS Manager?
Thaaaaanks in advance!
Best Wishes,
Hasenbein
Nobody an idea??
Is it probably a port issue??

In specs and images it was posted as (will insert image later)
(all is rather optimistic and NOT what it came like!)
it appeared as(will insert image later1)
and issues with me trying (and achieving some sort of control level) there from
(will insert image later)
varied degree of success working on it gets me to (will insert image later2)
So, I have managed to disable some apps, once managed to get mobile networking connections to the 1Mobile Market and get some apps to work, but not GooglePlayStore. Most of remaining (and new apps) are not in Chinese no more, so I am very hopefull, that with rooting I'll get rid of the rest of them gremlins.
Actual specs (will insert image later3)
The questions to you Gentleman (and) Ladies:
1- Do I have to (must) root the device, so that GooglePalyStore would work? as currently, it is installed, but majority of apps are kicking some or the the sort of errors(unsupported etc), and actual GoogleStore app- "works" via Browser...
2- If yes, how do I (step by step) root it in order to have better control? (what applications( with links please) I should install for such Odyssey and what order etc please!?
3- If rooting, is it possible to Get IE 4.4.0 ROM to install?(instead of 4.1.1)- what will happen to the features of IE analogTV receiver hardware management?
4- Would it matter at all, if device is not rooted, but intended to be installed iGo Primo is packaged somehow with GooglePlay app?- will it work? or will that "modified" app work with rooted device all together? (I already learned, that IE Traffic recorder apps are only available on Google)- meaning not available for me for now...
Very many thanks for the answers and ideas in advance!
Am I wrong in believing, that particular tablet is really just a different badge wearing JXD P1000 MTK8377 tablet?
Hardware specs seem to match, as well as appearance/hardware configuration seems ever so similar, is it that daft of an idea to consider rooting and replacing ROM with one, made for JDX device?
