So, recently there has really been lots of mess created over the XDA forums due to careless behaviour of some newbies and disregarding of the rules and guidelines by many. So, as a part of the initaitive by the moderators, and contributors, this thread is being published.
FIRST THING FIRST, THIS IS ONLY FOR GALAXY 3 (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH GALAXY S3)!!

Guidelines
Some general guidelines (not rulles!) to follow -
1. Dont post in the wrong forum. Any development thread goes to development section. Any stuff related to themes, apps, games, shares general mods etc, go to themes and apps section. Any query, obviously, shall go to q&a section. Rest go to general.
2. Searching is key to a happy life on XDA . Never post without searching. If you are sure that what you want is not there on WHOLE of XDA, then post it.
3. Refrain from making posts like "thank you dev/ great work man/ thank you/ good luck/ best wishes" in development threads. Keep the development threads as clean as possible.
4. Questions will not be entertained in the development thread.
5. ETA (Estimated time of arrival) will not be entertained in any development thread. Asking again and again will not make it better, but may make it worse.
6. If you post in threads without following the above guidelines, you are actually putting yourself and others in trouble.

DEFINITION - Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets, and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's subsystem.
As Android was derived from the Linux kernel, rooting an Android device is similar in practice to accessing administrative permissions on Linux or any other Unix-like operating system such as FreeBSD or OSX.

PROCESS - Android 2.1 (Eclair) - Use the app Z4Root from market
Android 2.2 (Froyo) - Link
Android 2.3/4.0/4.1/++ (Gingerbread/Ice cream sandwich/Jelly Bean) - No need, if you are on one of these, you are already rooted.

FLASHING -
1. STOCK ROMS can only be flashed via ODIN. For a guide on how to use ODING, head HERE

2. CUSTOM ROMS can be flashed either via ODIN or via CWM Recovery (Once you have it - see 2nd post) depending on the type of the file provided by the dev. .tar files need ODIN. update.zip files can be flashed via CWM.

A. Depends on you needs. First have a look at all the working/non-working list of the ROMs, if you can live without those things, then its good for you, otherwise stick with stock.

Welcome to Plasma ROM!
The most frequently updated ROM for this phone!
Note: It is HIGHLY recommended to, after installing this ROM (or any ROM) to use a Battery Calibration app! This almost doubled my battery life, and will likely do the same for you!
Features:

- One of the few ROMs with working SHealth!
- Easy install
- Cool boot animation
- Dark themed using @AL_IRAQI's layers themes
- Android 5.0 Lollipop
- Working SBrowser - much faster than Chrome (and uses less battery power)
- Download booster working out of the box
- Updates every weekend!
- Battery life seems to be amazing
- UPSM works flawlessly
Install instructions:
Prerequisites:
Must have SafeStrap installed
Must have a windows computer on hand with Odin
Must have an external SD card (SafeStrap also requires this)
Must have about 20-30 minutes
1) Download the ROM.
2) Boot into SafeStrap, click "Wipe," click "Advanced Wipe," then select all the boxes except for your external SD card!!!!
3) Click "Install" and select the ROM. Install it. Do not flash the UPDATE-SuperSU.zip! The ROM already has root!
4) Once the ROM is installed, reboot into Download mode.
5) Use Odin to flash the OC4 firmware only tar (link in the Downloads section)
6) Reboot and enjoy!
Please note that the first boot will take anywhere from 5-20 minutes, so be patient!
Known bugs:
- Settings app is slightly laggy. It's still perfectly usable though. I need to zipalign that APK in the next update.

Sweet this has to be my first time trying out a ROM in the beginning. Why is it that your install instructions are sooo much more simple and straight forward than the other ROMs? Also, I'm coming from Ricks Rom 20 - NK2...shouldn't have any issues right? Just a fresh wipe in safestrap? Also, I kind of screwed up my phone trying to upgrade to BOC4 yesterday and ever since, I can't get my WIFI to work. I know that its not pertinent to this thread but I haven't been on here in a while and was hoping for some advice on how to fix that. I'm not sure if I just did a fresh wipe and upgraded to your Rom, or did a kernel flash it will help. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

How do you get the weekend updates? I would like to find xposed installer that would work with this rom and also a way to boot into Safestap......... Got any updates for these issues?

I will try to help you out with one, but I do have work to go to so I can't promise anything. Alternatively, download you can use SuperR's kitchen in Ubuntu (VM if you wish) to deodex this rom with no problem.

No, Thank you for support
- No bugs, its essentially stock with touchwiz apps removed or replaced with google version. But let me know !
- It seems just as fast, but with future removal of Knox, I do hear there can be battery and performance increases.
- And lastly, its up to us to petition the moderators / admins. Unfortunately, it seems our device is a little uncommon. I may be wrong though. There is alternative forums run by devs @ http://galaxy-tab-a.boards.net/ and http://galaxy-tab-a.proboards.com

i have fully deodexed rom
i have fully deodexed his rom without removing any apps and fully working. I am using that about 3 months. 1xinfusion do you want me to just send it so you can update it.

On 18.02.2018, JohnnyTDN, the creator of RedRom, has decided to quit Xda forums and gave me his account due to some private problems in real life.
