My phone briefly allowed me to use it in landscape mode in every area of the ui is it possible to permanently switch this on?
It will let you do it when it's charging. Not without root.
Thanks, i just realised that too. Sorry for the useless post.

Sup,
Just curious, is there any way to change the screen to landscape on startup? Meaning when the device is turned on, it will be in landscape and you can switch to portrait any time with that bottom bar button.
I googled this and found nothing. There was that registry in GDI Rotation Angle, but it did nothing and resetted on reset.
Thanks for your help.
Hi,
there is a way to do this, I have done it some ROMs ago. You have to disable one device. I had done it with a process manager tool from this forum. I don't know the device right now but I will search for it and post it here.
its OEM_Misc.dll device.
usually identified as " MIS1: ". stop this device and automatic screen rotation will be disabled.
it worked but then the screen shut off and i hit the power button and it was restarting
any ideas?
thanks
Hi, I have problems with my screen. I dropped my Touch Pro in the ground and after that my screen rotates when I touch it. Switches from landscape to portrait every time I press the screen and if I do it again it switches again from portrait to landscape hope you get me.... Another problem after that is when I press the turn off button to turn the screen off it turns immidiately back on, so the screen is always on and my battery doesnt run long because of that. I'm wondering if the screen is broken or can some other sensor in the phone be broken? Have some of you heard of this happened before?
Sorry about my bad english I hope you get what I'm trying to say

Hi!
Did anyone here notice that the screen rotates from landscape to portrait mode every time the Phone Dialer appears? Like for instance, when you short press Send (Dial) Key or when you get an incoming call?
I have tried so many differend ROMs I don't even know which one I have installed now. The described behaviour was the same on all of them.
Is there any way to fix this? I have tried 'auto rotate' but it just looks silly: when i get incoming call, the screen first rotates to portrait, then 'auto rotate' rotates it back to landscape and I can't answer the call during all this rotating going on
You probably need to flash back to stock or do a MTTY Task 29 then flash a custom ROM, sounds like you have some residual affects from previous flashes.
Thanks, I guess this is the only thing left to do. I assume you didn't notice this behaviour with your Topaz? The phone app also has other bugs, like the button "Save to contacts" does nothing...
Does it stay in landscape mode? or does it only do if for a second or less and then switch back to portrait? I recall having a similar problem on one of mine... I just did a hard reset tho and that fixed it for me.
If auto rotate is turned on it rotates back to landscape (but ti takes more than a second), else it stays in portrait mode. It's good to know hard reset (better with format) really is the solution. I will try it when I find some time.
Hi everybody,
I have a HTC Fuze and been using it for a long time now.
Yesterday I reckoned that the spring which holds the ribbon slider is dislodged so it wouldn't close the black ribbon Cover.
So I happily found a service manual for the Fuze and gathered my tools to solve the problem.
I have to hand it to myself that I read the manual and was able to disassemble my beauty safely, put back the little spring to hold the black cover for the ribbon slider again.
After that I carefully assembled my Fuze again!
The mechanism was as smooth as silk and I was proud of myself
But then I switched it on and now I find that the Screen is somehow stuck at the LAndscape position.
To explaing it better, let's say if I reset my device and boot it up again (while the keypad is closed), my Fuze still thinks that the slider or keypad is OPEN so it boots up the TAEL ROM in landscape mode only! The only way to go to Portrait is to use the Rotate Screen option.
I thought this would get fixed by a had-Reset and Flashing it again but it still does not work
So now I am stuck on my fuze with the screen always in LANDSCAPE mode.
Note: All the keys are working fine on the Keyboard, including the back-lit!!!
Somehow I think that I missed something while putting it back that lets my Fuze to detect that the Keypad(Slider) is OPEN or CLOSED...
I'm not much of a Geek but I tried opening it again and checked all the ribbons and connectors... No luck.
All features of my Fuze are OK but for the fact that it is stuck always in LANDSCAPE mode whether I close the keypad or OPEN it!!!
Please help, I have an iPhone too but I love my Fuze!!! I don't want it to be sitting inside my desk for the rest of its life :'(
Is there a button or lock that detect the slider opening/closing?
Thanks,
I've had my Note 5 for two weeks and on two occasions, it was stuck on portrait mode even though it is set on auto rotate, it would not go into landscape mode. I had to turn off the phone in order to get it to auto rotate again. Has anyone had this problem and if so, how did you fix it?
so you mean, with the button greyed out, something like a browser window will still stay in portrait mode while the handset is in the horizontal position?
I haven't had any issues that i've noticed.
does some light tapping do anything? maybe even try a factory reset (I cringe, too).

the button is not greyed out....I"m still able to toggle from portrait mode and auto rotate mode but the screen won't toggle and will only stay on portrait mode......
Had this problem once but it was stuck in landscape mode while I was using the Chrome Browser. All I did was press the home button and it went back to portrait and closed out Chrome. then relaunched and it was all good. I know that probably wont work for you since yours is stuck in portrait mode, everything works in portrait except some games. Try launching a game that runs in portrait mode.
I have this exact problem!!!
I have had the same thing happen to me about once a week. I end up having to reboot the phone to get it to rotate again. Once it happens it occurs in every app capable of rotating. Anyone found a solution?
