[Q] Screen is rotated when Phone Dialer appears - Touch Diamond2, Pure Themes and Apps

Hi!
Did anyone here notice that the screen rotates from landscape to portrait mode every time the Phone Dialer appears? Like for instance, when you short press Send (Dial) Key or when you get an incoming call?
I have tried so many differend ROMs I don't even know which one I have installed now. The described behaviour was the same on all of them.
Is there any way to fix this? I have tried 'auto rotate' but it just looks silly: when i get incoming call, the screen first rotates to portrait, then 'auto rotate' rotates it back to landscape and I can't answer the call during all this rotating going on

You probably need to flash back to stock or do a MTTY Task 29 then flash a custom ROM, sounds like you have some residual affects from previous flashes.

Thanks, I guess this is the only thing left to do. I assume you didn't notice this behaviour with your Topaz? The phone app also has other bugs, like the button "Save to contacts" does nothing...

Does it stay in landscape mode? or does it only do if for a second or less and then switch back to portrait? I recall having a similar problem on one of mine... I just did a hard reset tho and that fixed it for me.

If auto rotate is turned on it rotates back to landscape (but ti takes more than a second), else it stays in portrait mode. It's good to know hard reset (better with format) really is the solution. I will try it when I find some time.

Screeen Alighment issue with 1.6a

Dear Buzz,Rudegear other experst and members,
I was surfing net in landscape mode and till then everything was alright..but when I restored the orientation to the potrait mode, the alignment gone heyware....somehow managed to get back..but can u tell...why this is with 2005 and hw this can be fixed...
Do I need to assign a button for rotating the screen?
Pls reply
It sounds like a problem I occasionally have with 1.60b. It usually happens after PIE has crashed. The screen looks right but it misinterprets touches: usually it acts like it's rotated through 90 or 180 degrees. Touch one corner and another reacts!
I take regular backups to a storage card, so a quick restore puts it right.

Strange issue: screen flipping to (upside down) landscape while in portrait mode

I have the AT&T branded Fuze in my case, and occasionally when I'm browsing/navigating in Opera in portrait mode, the screen will flip to landscape, only 'upside down' landscape (i.e. 180 degree flip from the landscape you'd see if you slide the keypad out). Usually I end up having to do a soft reset to get it to go back to normal.
I've tried doing a search on this issue via the forums here but couldn't find anyone else mentioning this. Has anyone else encountered this and/or know what might be causing it so I can at least try to avoid it happening?
Me too...
I have been using the HTC Fuze for the past week, and this is the main issue i am having and i cannot seem to find a way to resolve this issue.
I have had this issue almost non-stop, every time i put it in my pocket.
I have searched for the solution / fix / problem and have come up with nothing except 'recalibrate'. (which actually worked once)
Any thoughts, solutions for dealing with a flipped orientation fuze would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Brandon

Screen burn in problem

I got my replacement Fuze from AT&T and as soon as I did, I flashed WM6.5 on it. And now I noticed that a few things from landscape view are burned in on my screen, and you can only tell when its closed [portrait view]. The very bottom of the screen, just big enough for the left/right soft touch buttons, flashes constantly. And I can see the X for closing a window and the time burned in from when it was in landscape view.
It did this before and went away and now its back. What do I do to fix it? Get it replaced again?
im not sure what actually causes that but i dont think its real screen burn in. ive had it happen and go away. its something weird with tf3d maybe?
Sometimes I have seen 'Action' and 'Camera' burnt in at the bottom in portrait view, but it's not always visible, and don't see it often
Try turning teh screen brightness way down

I have only had this happen once and it was when I had the screen brightness all the way up. I turned the brightness way down and after about 30 minutes the ghost images went away (gradually).
Hope this helps.
Turn the phone off and take the battery out for a couple minutes. Worked for me.
It seems like a software issue to me, because also when I go to landscape view sometimes, the icons are all distorted. Looks like I'll be going back to WM6.1 for a bit, until I can find a stable 6.5.

T-Mobile Note 5 stuck on portrait mode

I've had my Note 5 for two weeks and on two occasions, it was stuck on portrait mode even though it is set on auto rotate, it would not go into landscape mode. I had to turn off the phone in order to get it to auto rotate again. Has anyone had this problem and if so, how did you fix it?
so you mean, with the button greyed out, something like a browser window will still stay in portrait mode while the handset is in the horizontal position?
I haven't had any issues that i've noticed.
does some light tapping do anything? maybe even try a factory reset (I cringe, too).

the button is not greyed out....I"m still able to toggle from portrait mode and auto rotate mode but the screen won't toggle and will only stay on portrait mode......
Had this problem once but it was stuck in landscape mode while I was using the Chrome Browser. All I did was press the home button and it went back to portrait and closed out Chrome. then relaunched and it was all good. I know that probably wont work for you since yours is stuck in portrait mode, everything works in portrait except some games. Try launching a game that runs in portrait mode.
I have this exact problem!!!
I have had the same thing happen to me about once a week. I end up having to reboot the phone to get it to rotate again. Once it happens it occurs in every app capable of rotating. Anyone found a solution?

Rotation Issues

I'm have a weird issue. Sometimes when I do certain things, like unlock my screen, or go to the dialer, my screen is rotated into landscape. I need to tilt my phone landscape and then back to portrait to get it to reset. I'm not sure why it's doing this. Anyone else having this issue?
Not a huge issue, just annoying.
