[Q] play store main screen gone - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Using 4.4.4
When opening play store, normally i would get the main screen with buttons to each category in different colors. Recently, i get automactly redirected to apps. When i select the menu and then store home, i get redirected again to apps. Im locked out of the store home. Any reason for this? I tried diferent version of the store, deleting, clearing data but nothing works. The attached pic is screen i keep getting redirected to. Any suggestions? I'm in Puerto Rico. Maybe because of my location but I could access the store completely before. And my wifes cel can do it in the same network.

Dirty flash ROM and gapps, or if you're on the factory image then flash system.img without wiping

Have a similar issue, suddenly I cannot access Newsstand and music since a few days
Seems Google, changed accounts to their real location or the SIM card provider's location.
Especially, now I have mobile provider paying available

Orange Wifi & Mobile Data (Something Different)

Okay, I know there has been many post like this already. I have read the other threads relating to this problem and everyone says it is Google Services not connected / not syncing. However in my case, I cant access any form of emails (chrome, email, whatsapp, etc). I have never rooted my phone, all stock, in addition to I have tried resetting and erasing all data.
Here is why I think it is not Google Services not connecting. After resetting I have not signed into any google accounts and the icons still turns orange and no data goes through any apps. I am at a point now that I am considering calling google to get a replacement since it is still on warranty, however I live outside of the USA so this will be inconvenient.
Try flashing the stock firmware again. If it still doesn't work, it's probably hardware, or some sort of account error... But that shouldn't affect noon Google Apps.
Could be a carrier issue to.
But that doesn't explain WiFi.
So yeah, reflash stock and see how it is.
Orange DOES mean it cannot connect to Google services, which using a Google phone, it will do whether you have signed in or not. In fact, you have to connect to the services to sign in in the first place. So yep, orange does mean there's no connection to Google services - however do bear in mind that if you're not connecting to the internet properly, you also wouldn't connect to Google services, which would give the orange indicators. Perhaps that's where the confusion lies.
As above, reflash stock including wipe. If that fails,it needs returning

[Q] Google Play Store says, "Check your connection and try again."

The device in question is an LG Optimus Fuel.
This problem is (hopefully) the very last problem that I have with this phone after I rooted it and deleted too many things without backing them up.
My first problem was exactly the same as the one I have now, with Google Play Store not working. Following the final step on this site...
wccftech . com / fix-no-connection-retry-error-message-on-google-play-store-app
I factory reset the phone. Unfortunately, I deleted some vital apps before this had happened, and had failed to back them up, among them was the home screen, which caused lgsetupwizard to keep shutting down and restarting. To solve that problem, I installed Nova Launcher using ADB.
My next problem was that all Google Play apps wouldn't start. With the store, it would start and immediately crash, with the others, such as books and newsstand, the loading circle would show and never go away. The solution to that was to download all of the Google Apps from an outside source and install them using ADB.
The next thing that happened was that Google+ kept starting on its own and crashing, forcing me to update using the Play Store which of course, wasn't working. The only solution that I could come up with was deleting it.
Now, I have some functionality of the other Google Play apps, with the exception of Google Play Store, which says "Check your connection and try again." which leaves me right back where I started from, except now I have Amazon App Store and F-Droid maintaining all of my non-Google apps.
Knowing that a factory reset is not an option, how do I proceed and get full functionality of the Google Play Store back?

Cannot install apps unless on WiFi

Hi guys. I have the US version G8142 and my wife has the international version XZ Premuim G8142. She cannot install or update apps unless she is on WiFi. If she tries while on data the apps show download pending and then eventually give an error 500. Mine works just fine- we are both on T-Mobile. In looking at the APN editing page, I noticed my phone has all the APN info by default while hers was all empty. We tried entering the APN info by just copying mine- no change. Tried resetting APN data to default- no change. We tried force stopping Google Play Store and clearing cache and did the same thing for Google Services- no change. We have not yet tried deleting her Google account from the phone and then logging back in or doing Factory Data Reset yet... Before going that drastic- do you guys have any other ideas?
Chad
-UPDATE-
I just did Factory Data Reset and now the phone auto updated the APN- it matches mine now. BUT we still have the same behavior, the phone can contact the Google Play Store and see updates are available but will not download them. Incidentally, Sony system apps like Music, Album, etc do update no problem- it just seems that apps that reside in the Play Store will not download on data.
UPDATED-
My wife found a temporary solution:

[QUOTE:] TEMPORARY SOLUTION: Go to network settings and change it to GSM ONLY instead of LTE. Then go the play store and try to download anything (I know it is slow but just try) and then once it start to download, cancel the download and switch it back to LTE. Then it will work until the phone is restarted or down. Kind of weird solution but hey, it worked for me as a temporary solution. [END QUOTE]

Google Maps, Play Store and Gmail not working

Hi, I have One plus 3 with android 8.0.0
I went on holiday (10 hour zone difference)and deactivated all app connections (settings-data use-menu-data use control) except whatsapp and chrome and facebook, which only connected to the wifi in hotel.
I came back and activated all connections of apps (wifi and 4g).
All apps seem to work fine except for maps that finds the street I´m looking for, but just keeps on calculating best route.
Gmail opens emails, but doesn´t download or open the pdf or any file attached and google play store opens my apps ans similar ones on screen, but can´t seem to download any new ones to install and doesn´t search for any app I type in the search bar.
I´ve deleted all cache in recovery mode, and also tried changing the time to manual and to automatic rebooting in between (I read this somewhere), but it´s still the same.
I´ve also reset all app settings in app menu.
No idea what to do next.
Also, not sure if the trip had anything to do with this issue
Hopefully somebody can help me as I don´t really want to reset my phone.
Thanks

Google Assistant deleting home address

I'm at a loss here. I have asked Google for their help and they were useless. I have been using a Samsung Galaxy S8+ (AT&T). It has a feature called SMART LOCK that uses a Trusted Place, which has worked in the past without any issues. For those that don't know or use it, it allows you to keep your device unlocked while your at a trusted place. With that being said, My home address keeps deleting from Google Assistant > Settings> Personal Info> Home & Work Locations. My work location stays here, but my Home Location keeps getting deleted for some reason. I can't figure out what is causing it.
I've deleted it and edited it many times and yet it still happens.I thought it was an app or allowed program, but I went through them and didn't see anything that shouldn't be allowed in my Google account. I have deleted my cache, data and uninstalled updates on all, Google Play Store, Google Assistant as well as a few others. Yet my Home Location keeps on disappearing for no apparent reason. I wouldn't care so much, but I use the Smart Lock feature while home.
I have used Tasker from the play store and set up commands and this didn't even work to unlock phone while at home.
I have wiped my phone many times and it still happens. Does anyone else have this issue or at least know a fix or is this a bug?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Sounds very frustrating. I have not heard of the issue before.
I'm wondering if you have also cleared out your Gmail address/contact info and Google calendar profile, as well?
What happens when/if you create a new alias profile? Will the alias address remain?
I would have to get back to you on that. I haven't tried creating another profile (alias). I can create another Google account and see what happens. I was also wondering if it was a fb so that could be doing it, but I have the same apps on my tablet (running marshmallow) and it doesn't get deleted from there.
Is doing it on my phone and my wife's.
