Hi Guys,
I tried to install cynogenMod 10 on my Samsung Tab 2.7.
It looks like I did something wrong and tab is not working.
It is now in the boot screen of cynogenMod for so long and not going inside.
Can someone please help me to fix this issue.
Much appreciated...
thanks
Shah
I think you need to go to recovery and try clearing cache and dalvik cache and if still it doesn't boots then restore backup and if you don't have it then flash some other rom and do press the thanks button
Peace and please don't hate

Sorry, but how did you flash CM10 without knowing how to get to recovery? Recovery is where you went to flash CM10, if you followed the flash instructions you should have done BOTH of these things before flashing CM10.
FYI to get to recovery is with the device off or even in its current state, press and hold BOTH the volume up and power buttons until the device begins to reboot, when it starts to reboot release the power button but keep holding the volume up till the recovery (CWM, Philz or which ever one you are running) comes up then release the volume button, as for exactly where to go in recovery to do the wipes depends on which recovery you have.
Tell us the steps you followed to install cyanogenmod ? And then we will try to help you accordingly

1.i rooted the device and done CWM recovery using ODiN
2.then i installed CM 10 from my internel memory but i think i missed to install gapps (would that be an issue...)

No problem just go to wipe data/factory reset and then
Wipe cache, and then
Go to advanced > wipe dalvik cache
Then go to mounts and storage
Wipe /system
And then install some other rom

Hello,
I was trying to root my Nexus S, and in the mean time don't know what failed, but now I cannot boot.
If I boot normally, pressing the power button, it gets stucks in the screen showing "Google" and nothing happens.
I can access the recovery menu if I press the volume up button while pressing the power button. I tried to reload images and recover from them, but it always get stucks in the image of the android with the exclamation.
My question is, does any of you know how I can repair my booting? At this point I don't care if I lose the root or not.
Thank you!
The exclamation is probably the stock recovery do you know how to use ADB

seems like you never flashed to stock or bad flash try full wipe and flash either rooted stock or custom rom
Didn't help, no useful solution in that thread, however will keep an eye there if something new comes up.
Anyone experienced the same problem ?

in clockwork mod
-advanced-wipe dalvik cache
but from root and stuck on bootloop you might need to reflash the rooted stock rom. it is usually PDxx.IMG what root method did you use? did you get any errors?
I got no errors.
I already tried to flash with several differents .img, but none worked so far... I tried really a lot differents. Always get stuck at booting.

Hello!
If you see the triangle and ! when you go into recovery, then you just need to flash clockworkmod recovery. Then you can flash a ROM.
if your in clockwork do full wipe then flash new img i always do this order
-mounts and storage
-format /cache
-format /data
-format /system
-back to advanced
-wipe dalvik cache
-wipe battery stats
-*****go back****
-wipe data/factory reset
-now flash rom
already tried, didn't work... nothing happens
the same happens, still get stuck during booting....
after wipe do you see rom install

Yesterday i preformed a hot reboot because my phone was not installing apps correctly. I used the app Hot Reboot. When i looked at my phone again this morning it was still booting! I took the battery out and back again and pressed the power button. But how i try it keeps booting all the time! I can get into all boot modes but i don't want to flash a whole new rom 'cause i haven't backup all my stuff... What can I do? Will this be solved with flashing for example a new kernel or anything wich doen't reset my phone? I'd really appreciatie help!
Try clearing the cache and the dalvik cache in recovery, if that doesn't work tho you will most likley have to do a full wipe and re-install your rom.

Tnx but my phone still keeps on booting after wiping cache. Is there maybe a way to backup all my system 'n data files using adb or something?
It also happened to me this morning...u may again flash your device with the stock roms (froyo or gingerbread) again by using Odin Multi downloader...first power off the phone..then hold volume down+home+power on
To bring into download mode
Then flash the roms...it should restart....at least worked for me

Go into recovery mode and then go to backup and restore and then select backup. It usually takes a little while backing up the system so be patient.

I don't have clockworkmod recovery. Can I just flash the latest version of g3mod (wich involves cwmrecovery)? Doesn't it reset my phone if I flash that?
But are there no possibilities using adb? Because i run one of the first g3mod kernels...

Just flash the latest G3MOD kernel and use the CWM from that. It won't wipe any data whatsoever but if you get force closes it is recommended that you wipe the data from CWM. I don't really know how to use ADB but i think rudolf895 has a tutorial on youtube. Google 'rudolf895' and find his video that is called how to make your own custom ROM.

Sometimes if you get stuck on the boot logo and it never fully boots, simply clearing the cache and dalvik cache in CWM or TWRP can fix it. (Might throw in fixing permissions as well.)

My galaxy tab was rooted and i Just installed clock work mod recovery and i tried to flash a custom ROM that was proven to work and now its stuck in a boot loop were i just see the galaxy tab logo on start up, then it shuts off. I have tried at least 5 different roms with no success. Does anyone know a fix to this? One of the roms was a aosp ROM and it got the furthest. it got past the galaxy tab logo and to its android loading logo, but it froze and restarted. This is really frustrating and i would just like a fix. anyone?
Thanks,
Zach

my brother almost rom for proper functionality before flashing requires you to wipe cache and factory reset and dalvik cache wipe
i think you did not perform it
also as now you are on boot loop if you are able to boot into recovery you can try to do these things it may work or you may boot in rom
also if not possible you can then flash stock rom through odin
also after flashing stock rom you will stuck o samsng logo so dont panic and reboot into recovery and wipe factory reset and cache partiiton and reboot { just these two things }
hope i helped and you tab gets working again :good::good:

Hi, I whenever i perform a factory reset and device wipe, it restarts the tablet. Im not exactly sure how to flash a ROM through odin, I have used it tho.
Also, all the links to my tablets (p5113) roms are broken. Do you know of any working ones?
Thanks,
Zach:laugh:
For P5113 you can use P5110 Rom´s - IR included to support P5113
For KitKat-Roms you need to use one of the latest recovery´s - else you´ll get "Error 7".
And don´t forget
"format /system" before flashing too

Sorry if I'm intruding (I own the P5100) I have the same problem of bootloop, I've done the reset (also the / system) but as soon as I install the latest nightly of CM 11 7 gives me this error (Error 7), what should I do?
All of this has happened to me for a simple update to version

Error 7 means your recovery needs to be updated. Look at Android-Andi's signature, he has links to proper recoveries.

first when you boot into recovery make sure you swipe to customize system if asked if not go to mount and untick system read only then
download the rom I suggest 3.1.

wipe all as you do and copy rom to your sd card then in recovery select install and choose the rom file flash it when flash complete wipe cach and dalvik cach then reboot first boot take 15-25min to bootup don't worry and keep it booting don't force off the device it's a part of installation.
